I agree! There area is not much different from where I group up in regards to it's distance from a larger city. I lived the garden even overgrown as it is haha
What an amazing home and beautiful courtyard/garden. Thanks for sharing. In Italy, can you have inspectors/contractors inspect it before closing? In order to have an idea what it will cost to upgrade plumbing, electric or structural before becoming the owner.
When I bought a property in the Veneto, I looked over a few all located in or around a small town. My one you could see it was rough holes in the roof etc. So I knew what I was getting into, but I took a builder on a viewing to confirm my thoughts. Structure was ok, not falling down, and was well built. But needed complete new roof including beams a new floor upstairs, you could see through from downstairs to the sky! New electric, not on mains gas. Water was at the house and septic tank ok. I guess looking at this house bank on rewire and some sort of heating system if your living in it. New kitchen bathroom re decoration.. there are the usual small cracks.. if I were looking for a holiday home ide seriously look at this place. It's got good bones and a tranquil setting, but not too far from a town..
I have enjoyed this property very much and the last one. This has tremendous potential. I can't help but wonder why there are still things in the house left over from the families that live there. Did they leave in hurry? This property must have been dramatic in it's day. Love it.
The property was most likely used as a vacation home most recently, so any furniture would have been extra and left until it was necessary to move. But there are many possibilities of why furniture is left behind.

Wow!! Can you let us know in these towns you go to if theres a small market, a bakery or if you have to drive 20 mins to shops, helps me decide thanks!
In the audio that was hard to hear at the beginning I described the area as well into the country. Normally these communities don't have markets since it is just a cluster of houses in the countryside. But the shops would be just a few minutes by car.
Super nice property......the first bedroom can just be a sitting area...so you don't awkwardly walk through someones bedroom.....the huge living dinning room....looks like it could be a separate studio apartment.....good investment..... Why does the neighborhood look like there is no one around....is that due to the virus?
No the part of the video in the car, I explain that it is an area with very few people. Like living in the county area outside of the city. Those that do live there are in their homes or at work
I've not experienced their winters, but my area shouldn't be much different. Floor heating is the best solution in these tile floor concrete structures. Good windows and doors are a must as well. Without floor heating, you'll either have a bit of a high gas bill in the winter, or be wearing a sweater and thick socks. ❄🌨
Like many I have started my search for my retirement home during COVID. I'm torn between the beautiful coastal areas of the south and the beautiful rural areas of the north. I like the proximity to the major towns in the north and would like to live in a small town or village but I don't want to be completely without an outside garden area or yard. It seems properties that have both property / garden while being in a village are rare.
Dauvo can you explain whats going on with the property market of Piedmonte. There are tons of huge and ridiculously cheap homes and farms. Is the region being abandoned due to increasing storms floods and erosion? Or did it start with the slide of Torino after the Fiat closure?? What is going on there? The region is gorgeous, so there's obviously some unfortunate situation causing this almost complete abandonment of the towns in the area where you are in the video. What info can you find out for us?
Hi there! Love your channel. I’m headed to the Piedmont region in a few days. I loved this villa shown by you and Alberto. Is there anyway we could get in contact to see if it’s still available. We are looking to buy. Kind regards jenn xxx
@@DauvO yes, but the only solution would be providing jobs in the sorrounding area. I myself inherited a house in a very sought after touristic area, sold it and bought a medioval house nobody wanted anymore and renovated it, but I could not possibly live there all year round for lack of opportunities. Still it is perfect for our holidays and we've become "honorary" members of the community after 16 years.
I assume you mean property taxes? It would highly depend on whether it is your residency or a second home. I unfortunately can't answer since I didn't see what the 'rendita catastale' was for this home. Renovations, I'd expect 300-500 per sm unless an inspection determined a structural issue.
Dauvo, very gently, sometimes it might be better for you to interrupt and ramble a little bit less and let the person showing you a property show you the property rather than frequently interrupting them.

The problem with this house is that northern Europeans want a place to go in winter. This house would be freezing because it's up the mountains. Otherwise its a really great property
Ela Paszczynski Palm trees are not really a sign of good weather... they can survive through winter weather of a few degrees below zero. Here winters are cold, damp and foggy but not so much snow. Weather usually starts to pick up from around March and is good into early October. But July / August can be too hot and humid for many. Maybe small pool in the garden would help with this 😄
NaCreagachaDubha I am currently in Dublin but my mother’s family are from Lombardy and Piedmont, grew up living between Ireland and Italy. Usually go back and forth a lot, but have not been able to return to Italy this year due to the virus. I have always had more of an affinity for Italy, but Ireland provides many more professional opportunities, so I ultimately settled in Dublin.
I wouldn't describe this property as 'up the mountains' since less than 10 minutes drive reaches the Po River specifically Pontestura with an elevation of 140 m above sea level. It's still in the Po River Basin.. More like at the base of the mountains. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pontestura
Trying to see the property, but you move the camera around too much. I would need to see more details of the whole property, including the garage, to even consider buying it.
Appreciate the feedback. Still, the video serves as a first look, I strongly urge you to contact some agent requesting additional video clips from anyone selling property from a distance. One video is not sufficient.

Lots of potential in this property, 55K Euro seems like a very fair price considering what you are getting. Very interesting video, thanks for do this! Also my complements to Alberto, his English is excellent!
Ya! I'll let him know! Thanks for watching JJ, hope it helps!
The dogs were driving me crazy. :( I am looking for a property in that style and extra space for a guests, but more in the quite area . La campagna. Courtyard coud be very nice on this one. Love it.
Thanks as ever , looking forward to your thoughts on Como👍
I love that property!
Me too!
I absolutely love this place. Almost as is!!! I would live there a while and think about what to do.
I can't find the listing on the website and wonder if it's still around.
Pretty sure this one sold quick
Wow I love this place
I love this property. I would be very happy there.
It did have a lot of comforts. Thanks for sharing J!
That is so lovely!
That House looks amazing!!
I loved it too!
I'm really curious to see some newer Italian properties!
That could be a fun type of tour too! Thanks for the request!
Thanks DauvO, what a dream!!!
I agree! There area is not much different from where I group up in regards to it's distance from a larger city. I lived the garden even overgrown as it is haha
I expected the price to be double really, very interesting property
Lovely home!
I think so too!
Sold 🌹🌠 I'm an artist..love this
What an amazing home and beautiful courtyard/garden.
Anthony Agovino Yes, it’s possible to do this.
@@ElibelDublin Thank you so much.
Thanks everyone for helping out! I can confirm that it's a big yes!
Hi Dauvo
Just as a matter of intetest, this was posted 6 months ago, so my question is, was this property sold ?? What was it sold for?? Has the renovations started? Also, could please revisit these properties when the renovations are completed. Thank you so much for showing these properties, I love them...Cheers Melbourne Australia 😁👍🏽
I love this one.
I recently subscribed to your channel watching Chris's video. I really like what you do and very much interested in buying a property. Ill be contacting you soon. Thank you for such informative videos.
DauvO a really like this one!!!
Dauvo, have you done any videos around Pontremoli? I have seen some interesting listings of detached homes there. Thanks for the great channel.
No but thanks for mentioning it. Now I'm curious!
@@DauvO A youtuber with the site "Not Useless Yet" is restoring a home in the area. It looks beautiful.
I'd love to see more properties like this!! Definitely love a garden. Do you ever go to Abruzzo?
I'm going there soon! Thanks for letting me know!
£55k is very very affordable considering it has a garden and a larger area... I want to buy this if it will still be available ...but I"m sure there are still many more properties available...prettier and larger...but so far so good!♥️♥️♥️
@@bee5841 €55k or £50k is still relatively cheap from my 3rd world country and ironically, it'll just be equivalent to a tiny 50 sqm townhouse here... so this comes as a huge bargain considering this is ITaLY, an EU member country.
A tiny 2 bdrm property in Cambridge, UK sells for £700k at the very least...
@@bee5841 yes I agree..part of the risks are the renovations required which must be complied within 3-5 yrs...but I guess it all depends on the owner..if he spends all his retirement money on renovations or just filling up the holes with grout or cement ...?? haha...sometimes it's about the journey...✌️💸
@@bee5841 yeah I exaggerated there haha but what I' m really trying to say is .. ..about them both being EU member countrries so they both have higher land value potential...✌️💰
Those that do live there are in their homes or at work
you are saving the best for last
I think Alberto did the same for me. haha The last property I went in, was particularly unique
Can't hardly wait to see that one too !!
Is that type of heating sufficient for the winters in the Piedmont area? I love that it has a garage and garden!
Beauty of a house in need of some TCL not very much though I love the decor
Love it!! 🏠
So much potential
I love it !
can you please talk about how old these houses are? that would be super interesting to hear. thanks .
Gardens are very rare for the historical centers.. They are more present the more you reach the outskirts
Just subbed great videos!! Thanks
How much is this villa with Artist studio I just love it so peacefull
Hi Jenn is it too late? You can look up tecnocasa casale monferrato to talk to alberto or email me
love this property! perfect. i'd like to see it but it'll be gone fast...
The property market is very sluggish in Italy: too many of us have inherited houses in places where nobody wants to live anymore.
It's location gives it some challenges, but I am hoping you are right!
I think together we need to solve the part where no one wants to live there anymore. What do you think Mimmi?
@@DauvO yes, but the only solution would be providing jobs in the sorrounding area. I myself inherited a house in a very sought after touristic area, sold it and bought a medioval house nobody wanted anymore and renovated it, but I could not possibly live there all year round for lack of opportunities. Still it is perfect for our holidays and we've become "honorary" members of the community after 16 years.
@@mimmiblu6138 that's how I bought mine, a large family with too many houses, they did not want the up keep. So just abandoned it...
FIRST!! Lovely property
Nice! Glad you liked it!
I see this was posted 2 years ago. Any updates? Did the property sell?
I want to buy the brick building on the right at 03:48. Cute :)
Maybe it's for sale! haha
I would buy this. Retire in about 5 years.....
I have a question how much would be the taxes on this place? How much are the closing cost? How much do you think it would cost to renevate it?
I assume you mean property taxes? It would highly depend on whether it is your residency or a second home. I unfortunately can't answer since I didn't see what the 'rendita catastale' was for this home. Renovations, I'd expect 300-500 per sm unless an inspection determined a structural issue.
Is the furnature sold with property
Dauvo, very gently, sometimes it might be better for you to interrupt and ramble a little bit less and let the person showing you a property show you the property rather than frequently interrupting them.
advice noted. Thanks for the feedback
The dogs barking non stop would drive me crazy.
What was the price?
Has this sold?
Dauvo i just saw the video with the lady real estate agent and you on a property fro 385,000 euros, can you send me more info on that property and this property please.
Caio DaivO
I have been living in Italy for 3 1/2 years now; I am itching to acquire another property for potential rental or Air-B-n-B. I would like to talk with you about some properties near my area; no 1 euro though. Let me know if you are available.
Thanks.
Feel free to contact me using the links on the about page. My email is there too! Which part of Italy are you in?
Now seeing this is this property still available if you know.
I will check in on Alberto to find out!
Is This house still for sale in montferrato
Has this property been sold?
Yes, from what I know it had an offer placed some months ago.
Hi, DauvO. Can you post contact link for the agent on this. Thank you, Brother. Doing a great job.
We're collecting intrest through this form in order to help out Alberto in managing the requests. Thanks for your support!

What happend with your meeting with the mayor?
It went well. I will be sharing that soon
Wish I had 55000 it’s fantastic I have 40000 grazie ciao
You'll find something else. No worries! Make sure it's what you really want there are plenty of options.
Still available?
I haven't sold it personally haha.. Last time I checked it was. If you'd like I can connect you with Alberto if you haven't done so already.
The problem with this house is that northern Europeans want a place to go in winter. This house would be freezing because it's up the mountains. Otherwise its a really great property
NaCreagachaDubha i dont think is that bad if they have palm tree.lol
Ela Paszczynski Palm trees are not really a sign of good weather... they can survive through winter weather of a few degrees below zero. Here winters are cold, damp and foggy but not so much snow. Weather usually starts to pick up from around March and is good into early October. But July / August can be too hot and humid for many. Maybe small pool in the garden would help with this 😄
@@ElibelDublin are you in the mountains of Italy, Eilbel? Prefer it to Dublin?
I’m assuming this is sold?
Yes. It was a good one though 👍 what did you like about it?
@@DauvO We liked the gardens and general feel of the home and outbuilding. Are you still posting videos of homes? We loved your stuff and we have starting looking seriously in Italy.
