Buick as a whole are extremely underrated here in the US. It holds the same level of designs, ride, and quietness as the Caddy (sometimes even better based on which models you’re comparing) Caddy is more sport luxury and competes with the German/Euro brands while Buick competes more on the comfort luxury along the lines of the Japanese luxury cars. Buick has been hitting it out of the park for some time now, unfortunately they don’t market them well and people overlook them because of the “old people” car stigma. If you take the time to look at them and drive them you will buy one.

Who would have thought that Japan would be the benchmark for luxury? What is this world coming to? Good for them, they make great cars for people who like them, but when is Cadillac getting destroyed for comfort by a Lexus or Acura?

    • @UnenthusedEnthusiast

@@christhornycroft3686 Caddy has targeted the European car market as their competitors. Which they are are sport luxury at the cost of comfort. I had a CT5 and it was a complete let down. Traded it in less than a year.

Buick just needs to be unshackled.
Doing this will encourage Cadillac to do better. Making them both more competitive as a whole in their perspective markets per vehicle.model.

Love that the screen is integrated into the dashboard. Doesn’t look like someone just plopped an iPad there like in so many SUVS now.

    • @Jack_Stafford
      @Jack_Stafford Год назад +2

      Amen to that!
Those screens that just stick up from the top of the dash get a lot of glare and seem like they would be hard to clean behind are going to look very dated very soon and it is weird that so many automakers have chosen to do that rather than nicely integrating them like Buick has.

I looked at every Compact SUV but this was the only one I didn't look at because...... well it's a Buick. As soon as I saw one online I went out and purchased one. The interior is just beautiful as well as the exterior and the decent amount of power. I was also interested in the XT4 as it's the same platform as the Envision but the dash design of the XT4 just didn't please me. Ended up with a Sapphire Metallic 2023 Envision Essence. Love it!

I have a 2011 Enclave, fully loaded for it's time (premium wheels, leather, bose system, bluetooth, NAV, tow package and AC/heated seats) -- and it's a wonderful vehicle. Still looks new, rides nice and is so comfy. I say this to say, if they're still making these SUVs like they did back then, you guys are in for a treat. I have 40k miles and will probably have it until I can't drive anymore. One gripe I do have is related to ONSTAR. My vehicle relied on their 2G network and they've since sunsetted vehicles previous to 2013 or 2015, I forget. ONSTAR was great though otherwise.

They definitely have the get up and go 250hp and 250+ torque. But with that said we know it won’t have anywhere near the longevity or ease of repair. It’s honestly a sad day that all of the V sixes are practically disappearing in favor of turbo fours even Toyota drop that suite to GR V6 they been using for a decade and a half.

I own one, a loaded 2022 with pretty much every option. Look up Service Instrument Cluster issues. Then I had a Service Driver Assistance System warning notice that required me to pay $700 to fix (Buick asserts a rock or something hit just this tiny sensor, when entire front of car is pristine with no scratches). Don't open your car door in the rain, it makes the interior of the door get a white frosted look, something I have never seen on a car. Just this week, I found out why my interior mats got filthy after I drove the car during a December snowfall. The curved molding at the bottom of the doors collects dirt and mud while driving, which deposits in the cabin. I didn't realize that until I was standing away from the car while at the dealer (about my 6th time at the dealer in first 6 months). I have now seen others describe this problem also. The Buicks look better, but quality is just not there. I only wish I had known that.

I realize that Honda is not considered luxury but Buick is a overlooked brand so is it luxury? What I've seen it just looks very nice but nothing special. Any vehicle close to $50,000+ needs to start outshining the competition. Plus the dealership is in the next town over for me so any type of service will need to be planned in advanced. Live in the Rockwall, Texas area (suburb of Dallas) and purchased my 2022 Avenir in May of last year. Came without heated and ventelated front/rear seats, at the time and was promised by the "Liar-in-charge"(aka salesman) the chips would be available in the fall, NOT! Did you guys have the same situation, back then and what is the status for owners who haven't had this situation rectified by now? The window sticker stated the retrofit should occur in the fall, but didn't specfiy WHAT YEAR!

I leased my Envision Avenir in the spring of 2022. I received my seat chips in January of 2023, just in time for my cold, Canadian winter. I’d never had cooling seats so I did not miss them that first summer and I didn’t use them in the summer of 2023.

I just rented one of these for a week, it was very nice...but that transmission really suck. The transmission locked up and wouldn't shift and the car stalled on the road. There's nothing you can do except to turn the car off and restart...which may or may not fix the problem. This is very dangerous because other drivers might hit you thinking you are moving when that's not the case. For a 2023 car...this shouldn't be an issue.

The comment on HP is spot on. I often wonder if car reviewers are all 12 year old kids with their heads screwed on crooked under their ball caps. I've driven cars with less that 100 HP for years and only an immature person obsesses with HP the way people do on car reviews.

Got this is a rental car with a sport model disappointment is it didn't have blind spot detection. It didn't have rctw which shows you cars are coming in your direction when you backing up. Didn't like the push-button transmission. It's all deeply ashame because the pearl white with a black rims in the sport model looks amazing and the speed pickup in the car is great. I didn't like the software update where I can't drive the car, if I don't have my seatbelt on. It didn't have active cruise control which allows you to maintain a distance from the car in front of you as it slows the the car down and speeds it up based on the speed of the car in front of you where my 25000 to $30,000 2015 Hyundai sonata limited had this. Nobody wants to move to a car that has less features than the one that had before and pay more for it. It's a shame because like I said the car I had was beautiful but it didn't happen fees features that my 2015 had. I say I really hate the push-button transmission

The KIA stolen car rate is very High and that gives me hesitation.

It comes down to reliability and depreciation. GM has turned out an incredible amount of junk in the past 40+ years. Add to that the cost of being taken every time you pull into a GM garage. Overpriced parts and labor and they give no mercy. Will this SUV be worth almost nothing in 3-5 years and have pile of problems...chances are yes to both.

Buyer beware! None of the 2023 Envision trims has lumbar support as standard feature - an unheard of gimmick at that price point (35K plus). All the other GM cars have it except maybe the base/base models. The design lunatic that made that decision needs to be fired tout suite. That's why I and none of my friends from the consumer club at work I belong to will be buying an Envision.

Isn't this just a tall, stubby car/sedan; clothed looking like a utility vehicle? How will it behave off road,? I suppose Buick makes what the general public demands.. This certainly is nothing revolutionary; just following the current market interest in this type of vehicle.

I would put my decision to purchase a Buick Envision as the WORST vehicle selection I have ever made. Multiple issues with this vehicle. Some related to fit and finish, some related to technology. Most recently, an expensive repair that Buick is asserting happened by some kind of freak road issue, and refused to fix under warranty. This vehicle has been problematic from day one, and I am just at 4K miles. I only wish I had spent more time researching before I purchased. I used to be a routine GM customer, but sadly those days are definitely over. GM made in China is not a car worth buying!
