Me too, this was the first time I watched one of PIA's 777's and little did I know was that was the start of something special which continues into the present day.
I remember watching this as a little kid never knowing what the hell kind of plane this was lol but I knew planes was my favorite thing to watch and everyday I watch vids like these with planes taking off because it’s part of my passion I have for aviation
The front-on shot of the approaching SIN B777 at 2:18 shows just how big the Turbofans are, using the main fuselage as a comparison. The sound of the 2-stage spool-up of the engines is just awesome. I have flown the Perth-Singapore route on SIN B777-200 several times now, and the 777 is just a magnificent aircraft. It's a joy to watch this type of footage.
If just about sound , I loves Rolls Royce Trent over General Electric GE90-115B. Although the fact GE90 have a lot of thrust than RR Trents , for aviation fans know that, RR engine is more like riding a sports car that makes you worth the ticket price. That roaring beast sound is what the best part , the air-sucking power is strong. Never any engine can do such rev-up sound except Rolls Royce. Just my 2 cent.
C’s Aviation - The International Flight Spotter i agree very very powerful intense roar of the Rolls Royce Trent 800 engines producing 90,000 lbs of thrust
I just loooooooooooooove that sound of the jet engine. It cries out loud first as if its saying "I am thirsty...quench my thirst...gimme fuel"..........and then it roars once the thirst is quenched with fuel and pushes that monster into the air
Khalid Halim I honestly prefer the GE90s. They sound WAY better than more durable than the Trent 800s. RR engines were brought down by ice or exploded in mid air.
I adore the sound of those engines too, I usually here it at least 6-7 times each day as I only live about a mile and a half away from Gatwick Airport.
Although i'm not interested in planes, this video really gives that sense of anticipation one gets waiting for the beasts to power up. Great stuff and love the whine of those engines.
yes folks, with the rollout of the dreamliner again relayed the triple 7 remains the most outstanding peace of boeing flying above us. beautifull video by the way!
Must have watched this hundreds of times and never ever get bored of it. Its the most incredible sound that the Trent engines make at all stages of flight. I can watch this again all day and its still as magical as the first time. Once again, this old pilot thanks you. Kev
Beautiful...makes me want to go back to wanting to becoming a pilot. At least I got simulators to play with for now. Maybe I'll get my Sports Pilot license one day...
Oh yes, that´s music to my ears. departure....thrust 50 %....after 4 seconds...100% full thrust!! wonderful, beautiful...or how the german´s say "GEIL!!"
God I love this video, since childhood I have always been spellbound seeing planes landing and taking off, and in San Diego, flying over your car. I was hired to be a flight attendant but had to abandon that due to a very jealous ex-fiance, however my heart has always been with flying. My brother-in-law who flies commercial told me that I could take up flying but I have terrible eyesight and I would be reduced to props. I wanted jets just like "Maverick", so I'll settle for your videos. Michele
I dont understand why people comment Boeing or Airbus sucks when they have never been behind the yoke. Please just be quiet and be amazed on how we are able to get that much metal into the sky.
This video is simply great! Both of those takeoffs were magnificent to watch and listen to. It looked like either smoke or condensation was coming out of the left engine on that second takeoff. A fabulous job here once again! I also enjoyed the transmissions between air traffic control and the pilots.
I love this plane and the good thing is that the company I work in makes parts for aerospace including Boeing and we ship it all over the world. I do quality stuff (Designing, inspection.....)and know where and at what plane that specific part will be fitted.
Nice! Flew Singapore Airline's 777-300 ER & 777-200 for a total of 50 hours in June/July 2010 (Houston - Moscow - Singapore - Manila & vice versus). Great aircraft and excellent service & hospitality by Singapore Airlines!
I used to travel on 747's ever since i was a child, a childhood thing. When they started replacing them with 777's, my heart broke a little until i rode on one of these. 777's have newer tech, better seats, more entertainment, i loved it :D
This video was my childhood for some reason.
you are not alone
same here
Me too, this was the first time I watched one of PIA's 777's and little did I know was that was the start of something special which continues into the present day.
Same
Ah same
This remains my favourite 777 video till date. Extreme and raw sound of the great engine.
My favourite too because I love the sound of the engine
Same here. Top Quality.
Always top quality
I remember watching this as a little kid never knowing what the hell kind of plane this was lol but I knew planes was my favorite thing to watch and everyday I watch vids like these with planes taking off because it’s part of my passion I have for aviation
With all the 777 takeoff videos this one has the best sound.
I love the smell of jet fuel in the morning....Smells like.....Boeing.
Amen to that
SC PSO smells like Airbus
Smells like GE Aviation. They're the ones who make these engines right in Ohio. Proud to live here :)
@@FutureMP445 My father made engines for GE for over 20 years after he survived Vietnam, right there in Cincinnati.
Nice quality for 2006
the roaring sound of these engines amazes me everytime i hear it. just can't get enough of it!
My favourite Video of PIA and 777s. Superb video and excellent sound. God Bless.
The favorite take-off video of all time - with a double trip-seven punch. PIA one, 25 seconds from full-power to rotation - sickening acceleration.
The front-on shot of the approaching SIN B777 at 2:18 shows just how big the Turbofans are, using the main fuselage as a comparison. The sound of the 2-stage spool-up of the engines is just awesome. The plane is as close to perfection as you can get !!!!!
This Video is 17 Years Old & Still Awesome👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
The 777s Close up & the Amazing Engine Sounds✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️.
Love the sound of the engines. It gives me goose bumps

That lady sounds so cheerful. Love it.
A 777 has never had a fatal accident in the 15 years of it being in service. You are more than safe.
Those Rolls Royces sound clean. much love to the GE 90 too :)
3:22 I love the extreme engine sound on Singapor Airlines!
C’s Aviation - The International Flight Spotter i agree very very powerful intense roar of the Rolls Royce Trent 800 engines producing 90,000 lbs of thrust
That roar gave me shivers! GE90 fans (pun intended) can't take me away from the roar of a Trent.
@@lourensjacobsakaturbo8147 only 90,000? weak
I've seen this video at least 25 times by now. I come from time to time only to hear the ATC's musical voice...
The ATC is icing on the cake.
Superb.
Great video!!*****
Those GE engines push like hell, I can smell the JP1 from my speakers !
are you alive bro?
yoo
Thx for posting these Chris....the sound is unbelievable......great having ATC instructions in background.....:-)
I just loooooooooooooove that sound of the jet engine. It cries out loud first as if its saying "I am thirsty...quench my thirst...gimme fuel"..........and then it roars once the thirst is quenched with fuel and pushes that monster into the air
I love these two engines so much
maybe it's just me, but the controller had a sexy voice
It's nit just you : it's her!!! LOL
Yeah she does
Yeah
He sure does!!!
Nice planes the 777s
Phwoar, love the way that roar just kicks in at 3:22 on the Singapore bird :)
Loving the compression clouds that form at the mouth of the engine!!
Who else lives near an airport?
So the first one is a 200LR with GE90s and the second is a 300 with RR Trent 800 series engines? I'm new to this. btw I think the GE90 sounds better.
Wrong you fat ass noob.
Khalid Halim
I honestly prefer the GE90s. They sound WAY better than more durable than the Trent 800s. RR engines were brought down by ice or exploded in mid air.
Khalid Halim Thank god you're here.
The second plane is a Boeing 777-200ER
You are right about the engines, but both planes are 777-200ER :)
Dunno how many times i have watched this.......the sounds when aircraft spooling up is incredible....
i love that sound that 777 engines make..........cant get enough of it
I adore the sound of those engines too, I usually here it at least 6-7 times each day as I only live about a mile and a half away from Gatwick Airport.
You're a boss friend!!!...excelent video! the ATC conversations, the turbines sound, the quality. Thanks a lot
The pia one is just so mind cleansing❤
I love the swirly thing in the centre of the turbofan at 3:20 and then the condensation cloud it produces! Cool!
Although i'm not interested in planes, this video really gives that sense of anticipation one gets waiting for the beasts to power up. Great stuff and love the whine of those engines.
Wow classic . This video is still here I used to watch it in 2006 :)
the sound, the act, the camera, this video is amazing!
Rolls Royce engines...their sound gives me goosebumps!!
Poetry in movement!
Absolutely beautiful
What amazes me is the angle of the takeoff of these new beasts.
the engines on the 777 are just incredible
Beautiful! Yes, the sound of a 777 takeoff is like music.
I love the sound of a 777 just before it's about to take off.
I like that the B777 has no winglets, and it takes off and lands nicely too! :D
Great B777s takeoff. Those sound is unique.
These planes are just amazing. Such a comfort flying in it!
What a magnificent aircraft, that frowning face and those engines are beast!!!
One of the best video's of take off for the 777
The sound...the thunderous SOUND!! Gotta love the mighty 777

777 engine sounds are just AMAZING
it's such a beautiful plane and only TWO engines. It' really loud and imagine the power to get the aircraft into the air
Cool video! I could listen to the sound of those engines all day long
No other power plant has the awesome sound of a jet engine!!!
departure, the most exciting moment since the engine starts
yes folks, with the rollout of the dreamliner again relayed the triple 7 remains the most outstanding peace of boeing flying above us.

just love the sound of those engines at the very start of the takeoff roll
That BA 767 in front of the Singapore 777 sounded nice too!
I dont understand why people comment Boeing or Airbus sucks when they have never been behind the yoke. Please just be quiet and be amazed on how we are able to get that much metal into the sky.
