I just had mine... Our school are just really early.
Just to warn people CGP isn't useful for Maths. CGP is specialised in summarising content, whereas maths isn't really content, it's mainly doing practice questions.
The cgp maths exam question books are good!
@@charley8688 past papers are best. Trust me, I'm in y12
Zack E me too and I know they are the best but sometimes (especially with the new GCSE’s) there’s not enough past papers so they are second best.
There aren't that many past papers but websites like Corbett maths have really good practice questions
idk idk 100% but it’s just in response to the op saying cgp isn’t good for maths but it can be

my day in the life of a gcse student is watching tiktok until 10pm then realising my teachers going to tell me off so quickly try and to do some work but end up crying to sleep

from someone who is in year 12, you are doing everything right. everything i didn't do. but honestly u will be exausted during the month that you sit all your exams so you need to be prepared for an exam as well as possible before any gcses start because chances are you will be too tired during the exams. prioritise sleep of work during that month which is why i say be prepared before because if you are tired after an exam u should sleep, not work. (also i'm doing biology, chemistry, physics and maths a level if you ever wanna ask about any of them if you are interested in taking any)

I'm doing cambridge and it's honestly shiy I mean the textbook there's nothing inside if u want to understand SOEMTHING in detail the whole process uve to google it find out extra notes cuz there's nothing in textbook it's all just messed up As if they were in a hurry to get done with the book :(
hey, I'm actually looking to do biology and chemistry for a levels, any chance we could talk?
haf hi ! chemistry is the only a level which is necessary for medicine, and then maths is next important. biology (for some reason) isn't seen as very important by any uni when applying for medicine. they are great fun though!
It’s really interesting watching a video especially during mock season as a current year 12 - I clearly remember the exact stress of year 11 and how horrible it was! Unfortunately, it doesn’t get any better in year 12 (as naive 15 year old me thought it would - A Levels are *so* much work!) but the summer of year 11 is incredible. I’m doing English Lit&Lang, French, History and an EPQ, and it’s amazing to never have to touch sciences and maths again! Good luck, don’t overwork yourself and you’ll smash it!

I love it! It’s a lot (like a lot!) more content than GCSE but it’s really interesting - I’m on the AQA exam board and on AQA you only do two topics so I’m doing the Crusades and the Religious Reformation and the conflict surrounding that. It is a lot of essays and actually having to understand why things happened (which is different to GCSE) but I find it really interesting. It’s definitely one of my favourite A Levels - make sure that you know what topics you would be covering and check you’re interested in them though! If you’re not then it’ll be a long two years 😂 Good luck!

hi just a quick question, im in year 11 and doing aqa. how do you structure the different questions (4,8,12,16 markers) i need help because i understand the content but im stuck on a g7 and i want to do it for a-level! if you cant help then thats ok

I have just started my year 10 and I am done with my first what they call “pre-mocks” dk if it’s common among all like gcse students and schools but they are similar to mocks just not mocks basically the unofficial mocks and I feel like gcse is a survival of the fittest situation god help good luck to all gcse, a levels and just students in general

Dont worry about year 10 just keep on top of end of unit tests and have some fun whilst you still can (make the most of it)
this motivated me to get up and go do 4 hours of revision for maths and chemistry
I haven’t revised since year 9, we’re almost half way through year 11 and I really gotta start revising :(

I always use a whiteboard for maths, it uses less paper and is great when you’re doing practice questions you don’t need to write down
Best advice ever is to prepare as much as you can BEFORE exams start. The whole “GCSE” period is so exhausting mentally, physically and emotionally. Revising stressed out will make it worse !

I have a predicted 9 for maths. Trust me when i tell you CGP sucks for maths! All i do is practice, practice and practice. Ez haha! Also just watch some tutorials on YT if your stuck.
Personally, hegarty maths helps me a lot. I recommend you to try it out if you ever find a topic difficult! :]

Milly Agar they aren’t pointless. you have to get good grades i. maths and english because if you don’t you can’t study some stuff in 6th form which will be harder for you to get subjects that you want/are good at which will then lower your results for A-level. plus a lotttt of the time unis will look back at your GCSE results

Not sure if your going to see this emma especially since you’ve started a levels 😞 but when you revise for mocks or anything actually do you put music on in the background? I do but I just wanted to know if it’s a bad thing my mocks start in less than a month 😬😗
I personally don’t but that’s cause I get on better in silence, sometimes I put on soft classical type music if anything but it’s not a bad thing!! I know so many people that do and if you can concentrate just as well then you’re fine :)) 💘
