People really seem to not realize just how consistent ferrari was last season and by all metrics should have won the construcor. WIthout the Crash in Baku between Perez and Sainz, Ferrari would have won. Even if we argue that Checo was faster and would have finished ahead of Sainz, that is still 15 extra points on the Ferrari tally that would have given the championship to them.
Scott Mitchell continues bashing Lando Norris and praising Oscar Piastri, but we all witnessed in 2024 that Lando Norris completely destroyed Oscar Piastri after the summer break. At several races after the summer break, Lando Norris out-qualified Oscar Piastri at almost half a second. Scott Mitchell also talked about Oscar Piastri's race craft, but at several races, Oscar Piastri had a very difficult time passing the driver in front of him once he was within 1.2 to 1.4 seconds behind the driver even though he had the faster car.
I don’t hear this consistently from Scott. Piastri’s 2024 while stronger than his 2023, was peaky with moments where he was fastest in the field, but this made his below average weekends seem so much worse. In contrast Norris was more regularly the fastest of the two when both were out front, particularly in qualifying. Lando’s consistency in race finishes put McLaren over the top as team champions.
It's easy for a driver to say, "I can't be bothered with this", than for them to officially leave. Lewis said he wouldn't be around for long. Max is not the first to say it but even he knows it's not easy to leave and come back. I personally don't think he'll go anywhere until he drives for Ferrari.

Max will not race with the new FIA rules in 2026. You can talk about Max and Aston Marin but if the new rules are still in place it will not happen.
Win or lose this year, he has nothing to prove to anybody or himself. He has little time or patience for nonsense.
