When Hawk said around the next turn I need full reverse turbo wit all that horsepower spoiled up like that and to come to a complete stop from mach 2 to stop those turbines should have been screaming reversing thrust like that thats a lot of power and torque on that main rotor and tail rotor just to see Hawk pull back on the stick like to bring air wolf 🐺 in to a hover that was true pilot skill there !!!!
This battle between Airwolf and the X400 was one of the few fights where Airwolf was actually up against a viable opponent and wasn't toying with them, but actually being pushed to it's limits to survive (I bought the bluray boxset and just got to this episode in Season 3). Only String's crazy skills won this one.
Even in real life, you have to have "a trust," in your team, even when it goes beyond "it's limits, " a risk to get it done! String and Dom characters were a great team! Helped each other, with the lady. Help your team, neighbor, out as Bible proclaims! Nice to see. Airwolf I 👍

There was a little CGI in here but in for a current show they would be criticized heavily. The instrument displays and the missiles are CGI. Customizing the copter took a good deal of money. I would love to see a sequel with string's son as the pilot of an upgraded redwolf.
Everything they did in the series when hawk had to shoot all those nuclear tip missles before they hit the white house at mach 2 the writers the special effect people were just off the planet i wish they would reboot airwolf
The intruder´s aircraft is Avtek 400A. Only one was built during 80´s , but there was a turboprop biz jet with engines in push configruration . So without guns and rockets. Very nice cannard aircraft, sadly never in production.

It’s a very strange plane, and it’s just sitting outside-unhangared and dirty-at Camarillo Airport (about 45 miles NW of Los Angeles). I had to look it up online, and came across a lot of interesting info about it, including this short Airwolf vid. Pretty cool, having just seen this strange bird up close and personal this morning!

Robert Goes That would be incorrect. The Tiefighters make the same sound as Air Wolf. I have seen/heard Air Wolf in person and to bad it did not sound like it did on tv.
The plane was far enough away from a town to be abandoned and left to burn itself out. She didn't have a big enough extinguisher any way. Any fire should only be tackled if it's small, you have an escape route, and being competent in the use of a fire extinguisher. Aircraft fires are never small and require specialized equipment to tackle safely. This was why Hawke tried to get the woman pilot away, not to mention the fact they were being shot at. Planes are replaceable; human life isn't.
I used to have such a hard time deciding which show I like when I was younger how do you know if I like blue thunder or airwolf cuz they were like both similar but they were both cool shows.

First he lost his leg, while surgery the doctors damaged his vocal cords with the regular breathing device, intubate every patient got into his trachea.... but the idiot of doctor didn't got it, but pushed it into his esophagus, injured his vocal cords so badly, he only could whisper for the rest of his life. And as if this is not enough, he got an aneurysm and because of that he lost a lot of his long time memories. Especially the Airwolf time span😢, nearly all years
He would have made a great medical contact for the series! Maybe even helping String and the others with PST or other issues, especially String dealing with not having his brother, how it is affecting him, and finding closure, until he was found!
When Hawk told Dom he need full turbo Dom reached up to the top console and hit two buttons and all 4 engines lit up at maximum thrust out put that should've been more power 🔋 combined from all 4 engines for Hawk to out run the X-400 Dom said for get thay were 30% percent pass maneuvering speed so air wolf 🐺 was at her limit !!!!
I remember when this Episode came out. Back then, we didn't care about visible cannon or missile ports being shown; we cared about whether or not The Lady was going to get the X-400. One thing that will always be true... This Scene was filmed with Real Aircraft, by Real Aircraft. CGI could never duplicate the look, sound and feel of the genuine article.

Right the sound clip was overused for sure. I guess they were trying to imitate something like the Avro Vulcan howl when it went above 92% throttle
They modified the howl from a GE J79 in an F-104 starfighter. The idea was to make it sound like a wolf
