    The NZXT H9 flow pretty much solves the airflow problem you have with the glass, I have that case it's very nice.

    There is a - AIO pump header on most mother boards ; try to use that for your AIO. In most cases. Most current video cards even the higher end models don't even max out a PCIE video card slot ; so it going from X16 to X8 shouldn't cause any problem.

    AM5 is now LGA ( Lan Grid Array ) and not PGA { Pin Grid Arry }. AM4 and older are PGA , Starting with AM5 it will be LGA.

    to be fair, if you're willing to put $6k down on parts, YOU should know what you're doing. my system is 1/3 that and i did a ridiculous amount of research being a new builder. ive had some issues but i was able to fix them on my own and without spending money.

    On my Z790 Motherboard, if you use First M.2 closest to CPU, it will make your GPU pcie5 to 8x. This will not effect performance as the most powerful GPU can't max it out. You have a driver or other issues 7900xt will no ware near saturate 8x even the next gen. My suggestion go to your motherboard manufacturer reload bios complete reinstall of windows with bare min of components. Then start adding extras.

    I wouldnt mount the AIO pipes that they are on the highest point of the radiator. Thats the place the air will be over time and your pump in the cooler doesnt move air, so it wont get really enough water to actually pump.

    Some M.2 slots are " Connected " to the CPU and others through the chipset itself.

    And sounds like you're system was buckling under load, buckled during a driver/bios/important software install could cause the domino of shyte, Psu may be too weak, (over current is built into motherboard to prevent what you suspected) so PSU faulty or underpowered, GPU could be clocked too high
    And chipset is not where the CPU is, it's south east by the m.2 drives, it's a second processing unit that handles Ethernet, WiFi and or with USB ports

    I would bring in some more fresh air. Make your side fans as intake. It will also feed you rad with cool air.
    Nice to see a fellow Calgarian tech channel

    Wow that tech person was rude af! How could a tech tell someone not to mess with their computer? I know what he meant... but still you don't tell a person to not touch their own property. No way he suggested putting an Intel CPU on an AMD board. That would have been the end of my conversation and I would have immediately kicked him out lol. Sweet Jesus have mercy on him. I can relate to this video as to making a simple mistake and having big problems. My biggest tip in building and configuring is to SLOW down and double check connections. As for overloading the fan pins... I don't think that would have caused the issues that you have. I feel like that would just make the fans not spin at worst. I have made mistakes by going to fast and or being distracted. I killed a motherboard because I assumed the fan was plugged in. It wasn't and there were no fans on. An hour later my cpu was doing weird things and I realized the top of the case was super hot. I realized what I did and now the board and CPU is toast. Luckily they were budget parts but still... it cost me almost $150 because I forgot to plug in the fan all the way in the pins on the motherboard. Updating BIOS imo is the riskiest configuration you can do to your computer. Just one error such as the wrong BIOS and or a brown out can brick your motherboard. What was the issue that required a motherboard BIOS update? From what I understand something very specific like higher clock speeds and voltage issues are main reasons to update a BIOS. Maybe I didn't catch... but are you using the same CPU from the previous board? Also can you do a breakdown of the price of the components? From what I see your machine shouldn't get anywhere even close to $6000. Like maybe around $3000 but 6 seems way too high. So can you show the current temps now?

    i watched your video and listened to your conclusions. i dont think that they are actually correct., i need more info from the build to the events leading up to the issues to be able to help
    i have a rog extreme x670e mobo /7950x3d/gigabytertx4090/64gb corsair titanuim ddr5 ram/ 1 tb crucial t700 pro m.2 gen5 ssd /2 tb corsair mp700pro m.2 gen5 ssd 1300w platinum psu

    in 2023 i was expierencing all these same issues and i pretty much purshased spare parts for this entire build so i could get to the bottom of what was happening.

      agreed when your spending 6000 dollars im not sure how you find stuff to waste that money on besides a 4090

    • @leagueaddict8357
      @leagueaddict8357 6 месяцев назад

      I mean, some people really like to spend on a monitor, or other things so hard to say, is the 6000 for the PC, is it his entire setup not sure but at the end of the day if he is happy with it and it works then it works, I would think if you spend more than 3.2K you should get a 4090 no question, but he doesn't really say what the use case is, how exactly the money is spend so it is hard to say whether it was worth 6000.

      A part of that might be the cost of one of the M.2'S. There are some M.2'S that are much higher capacity ; like 8-tb ( on Amazon - 8-tb ) M.2'S are ranging from around $840 dollars to $1200 +. The RX 7900XTX can range from $900 and Up. If he has 192-gb ram that will cost from $330 to about $800. The MB might be a couple hundred dollar bord in itself. If the CPU is a Ryzen 9 7950X3D that can cost upto $600 dollars. Might be able to get lower prices for various components are NewEgg vs Amazon. So it's worth taking time to compare.
