L&D nurses seem to only want to use it as a last ditch position when there is advanced dilated but baby js high. But why not do it when baby is stuck 2cm if baby is staying high. Saying baby doesnt tolerate it on her back doesnt make sense especially after the epidural they lay flat 30 minutes.
If baby is high, then this could possibly help bc it’s more about the station than the dilation. You could do it earlier but it’s not a comfortable position so there is a lot of other things you can try first
Do you think it would be ok to practice watchers at the end of pregnancy?
It’s more of a labor position bc you need the strong uterine contractions to push baby into the pelvis!
But if you wanna try it, it would be fine!
