@key peele It is LA COUNTY. The City of LA is pretty liberal. The same cannot be said for the county as a whole. Simi Valley (known locally as Copland due to the high number of LAPD and LASD personnel that live there) is in LA County. That is why the Rodney King trial could get moved there. Valencia (where Six Flags Magic Mountain is located) also has a high percentage of Conservative voters. Malibu has a ton of them as well. This is also why the LAPD has done a better job at trying to deal with these gangs than the LASD. The LAPD had the Vikings as well as the various C.R.A.S.H. units, the most notorious being the one out of Rampart Division. However, those officers were fired and prosecuted. There has not been a single prosecution of a Deputy for gang involvement because our current Sherriff is allegedly a member of one of these gangs.

There is a video on youtube that goes into detail about gangs within the LASD and they state Villanueva is indeed a member of an LASD gang. I don't remember which gang he is affiliated with, either 3000 Boys or Banditos. He claims there is no such thing as gangs within the LASD but he is a gang member himself.

There's a documentary about California's law enforcement, can't remember the name but I have never found it again! It explains that high ranking gang members from all the different gangs groom recruits to join the police but thier loyalty is always to the gang, and this has been happening since the 60s 70s so some of these so called servants of the law are in very high positions and you just have to see what's happening today to figure that out!
Of course it has. Black and Hispanic communities in LA have been complaining about racist cops for generations. They were ignored. @key peele It is LA COUNTY. The City of LA is pretty liberal. The same cannot be said for the county as a whole. Simi Valley (known locally as Copland due to the high number of LAPD and LASD personnel that live there) is in LA County. That is why the Rodney King trial could get moved there. Valencia (where Six Flags Magic Mountain is located) also has a high percentage of Conservative voters. Malibu has a ton of them as well. This is also why the LAPD has done a better job at trying to deal with these gangs than the LASD. The LAPD had the Vikings as well as the various C.R.A.S.H. units, the most notorious being the one out of Rampart Division. However, those officers were fired and prosecuted. There has not been a single prosecution of a Deputy for gang involvement because our current Sherriff is allegedly a member of one of these gangs.

I grew up on 55th/Atlantic, not to far from Compton. Everyone seemed to be with one group or another even back then. I have had Skinheads try and get me on Signal hill back in the late 80,s. Why is this not a priority with the DOJ, it's amazing that law enforcement departments can have these and other issues and let it go on or when they do investigate find no wrongdoing. Both men where shot in the back and both elderly and not hostile and both murders on video surveillance. Both cops only punishment was the where fired to only be rehired in a smaller city a few miles away from my city. If that’s not corruption and good O’ boys treatment for two seriously bad cops idk what is. Heck I don’t believe in BLM protest but I do believe in the Cops have to much power and are above the law with no consequences to there actions.
