I'm heading up there on the 27th. I have a similar setup with the downrigger. If you don't mind, how deep do you set it? How far back is your rig, and if it isn't too much to ask, what's your setup? Flasher? Lure type, etc.? Thank you in advance!
I entered a Trout Derby there about 15 years ago, in the pouring rain. The jackpot was $500 for the biggest fish, I caught a four and a half pounder but the winner caught a five and a half pounder. The bummer was that I lost one that was about seven pounds. Oh well, it was fun though. OSH :-)
Where were you catching these? I usually stay around the dock but have always wanted to check out other parts of the lake. Just got a yak so I'm hoping to explore new parts this weekend!
@@TheShkang115, I'm not the guy in the video but I use a 4 pound weight on my Hobies. Considering jumping up to 6 pounds for less blow back when trolling fast.
Awesome video. Nice big trout.

That Derby was in early 2003, I know because I just bought my boat. I'll check your videos out right now, thank you.
Nice quality fish!
Thanks for watching !

Thanks for watching 🙏
Nice. Looks like it's your day. How deep did you drop down?
I was getting them at 10 to 15ft 🤟
Nice video. Why does your kayak look like it's leaning to your left?
Because of his downrigger weight.
What size weight are you using?
