Ahh… The most handsome assassin makes the top of the list. 😍 Let’s be honest here, any TRUE Assassin’s Creed fan knew AC2 would be at the top! Ezio will always be one of my favourite protagonists I’ve ever played in gaming, and that is high praise considering the amount of games I’ve played since my childhood. Ezio simply had a charm about him, with a gripping story that made you as the player, wanting to seek out revenge for the tragedy that unfolded in young Ezio’s life. To this very day I play AC2, and still enjoy it, when Ubisoft USED to make great games instead instant cash grabs. Yes, graphically it is tired now, but nothing short of a remake wouldn’t solve. Yes I know about & play The Ezio Collection, but to see it reborn on modern consoles would be epic!
Unity was actually 1 of the better games outside of the glitches. Co-op missions. Customizable clothes. 1st one you could equip different weapons. And a solid story
I was thinking the same thing. Some people really hate the newer games for some reason. I thought Valhalla was great and odyssey is one of the best action RPGs ever made. I do think my 2 favourites atr black flag and 2. But the newer games are great too
@@ReproBates"for some reason" getting rid of almost everything worth of a AC game and making an RPG bloated with repetitive content and lousy scenes is a damn good reason to hate the RPG era of AC games.
Unity isn't a game I particularly like but that was ridiculous reasoning. Why are we still talking about bugs that were fixed nearly a decade ago? How about the fact that nothing works quite right?
Played and completed AC1, 2, Brotherhood and Revelations. Three was Okay but I completely lost all interest when they introduced ship mechanics into a game series based on Assassination and stealth in Black Flag.
-Unity deserves a better spot for how it plays NOW! -Revelations is the best of the Ezio Trilogy (fight me on it) -I cannot believe Valhalla and Odyssey and Origins are as high as they are when they have almost nothing to do with any of the other games (I never liked Origins being the start of the whole timeline when i never gave a single shit about Bayek and his wife.) -I actually don't mind AC2 being #1, it was my first AC game and it is still fantastic
Hard disagree on Unity. Did you guys actually play it or is this just a list based on public reception? Despite it’s rough technical state at launch owing to Ubi severely underestimating how much power the new gen of consoles would actually have, the game itself is really good and ahead of it’s time. And it is the distinction of being the only coop AC title. It’s looked back on extremely fondly these days by the community and is well up there in the list personally.
Unity is in my top 3: AC Brotherhood (Peak Ezio) AC Unity AC3 I think it's extremely unfair to criticize Unity today for bugs that were present 10 years ago. It was the last mainline AC title that had any ambition while maintaining the pillars of Assassin's Creed.
Odyssey will forever be my favourite AC game. Love the Greek mythological world and this game perfected it. Playstyle, characters, story, music. All perfect to me.
Ummmm have you all not been paying attention? Unitys reputation has done a complete 180 the past couple of years especially in light of the last few games. These guys just go off of old review scores which often leads to rankings that feel completely out of date and irrelevant. We need rankings that take into account the launch state whilst not ignoring current discourse.
I really wish I liked the Assassin's Creed games more. They should be something I love, with all the open worlds and stealth action and history... but the modern-day Abstergo parts just ruin them for me. "Genetic memory?" Really? You had me at "assassin," why are you muddying the waters like this? The last thing I want in my cool historical assassin simulator is to be some regular dude getting strapped down to a table by Kristen Bell and ohhhh never mind I get it now.
I have to completely disagree with Assassin's Creed Rogue. It's one of the few AC games I ever finished on PC. I had an absolute blast with Rogue and never had a single bug or issue playing it. I enjoyed the story more than Unity and I thought the new stuff Rogue had was pretty darn good overall. That being said, my absolute favorite games are still Odyssey and Origins, then Rogue and Brotherhood and etc. So because my list of the best AC games is different than yours at TJ - I shall complain online like I am and pout and stamp my feet :D
@@kanglongshankz3313 What Rogue? I didn't finish it in a day, it took me over a week. I don't rush games as it is, and I'm old as dirt so I can't sit here for hours and hours anymore lol
I didn't enjoy AC4 and Rogue at all, there was way too much island hopping and naval combat for my liking. If i picked a top 3 it would be 1: Brotherhood, 2: AC2, 3: Odyssey. For me Brotherhood is the quintessential AC experience and improved on AC 2 in every way. Odysseys open world is the best I've seen so far, the depth of it was incredible I lost months of my life to that game 😂😂
In Josh Tranks AWFUL Fantastic 4 movie, Dr. Doom was actually introduced sitting in a basement playing AC Syndicate. And if you pay attention to the screen he's really bad at it. Not sure if that particular product placement did Ubisoft any favours though.
Liberations definitely did have the first WOC and I'm not trying to downplay that representation, but Altaïr is literally a Syrian character, or Persian in that time period, do people from the Middle East not count as POC?
Unity being that low is absolute bs. I get that you took the criticial and player reception at the release of the games as the main metric. But this low placing shows that that's not entirely fair. The parcours in Unity is the best of the series, the graphics have aged very well and while not having the best story it's miles ahead of a grind fest like Valhalla. Though ... that was after all the patching.
Valhalla is easily the worst entry for me. it’s the only mainline Assassin’s Creed and one of the few games I’ve dropped and never finished. It’s insane how bloated and boring that game is.
Just your friendly neighbourhood irritant requesting a rankem for ever weapon based racing video games. Rules: Need at least one weapon Must do laps around a track in a racing format
@@DJCube1701 surely it shouldn't be too big, especially if it's just restricted to consoles. And Shovelware Kart racers, yes there are plenty, but weapon based ones are sufficiently less. When you factor in racing elements, there can't be THAT many. These boys have don't videos in the 100s as far as rankems are concerned
This must be ranked in order of sales figures or an old online poll. Having Unity ranked so low and the RPG trilogy so high in a franchise built and loved for its stealth and parkour elements is abysmal. I'd rather have seen a ranked personalised catalogue of the games that YOU have played rather than this soulless list you compiled using VGChartz.
Worst to best is my favorite thing you guys do, however this is probably the first list I have major disagreements with. Everyone concentrates on how Unity released, but ignore the game that it actually became once the bugs were worked out. Odyssey is way overrated and they made this huge world with nothing in it. Brotherhood is simply a better game than AC 2. Finally Rogue is the best AC game mechanically (although one of the worst story wise) I think the conventional wisdom of AC content creators and the AC reddit community is going to hate this list. It is still hella entertaining though Can we ever get an all MMOs ranked worst to best?
Assassins creed 3/4. AC3/4 was okay, but to me the cons are not what all the peasants complained about. I love the Mohican Native tribe, I love the British ,I love the fact that you start as Hatham, a freemason (In this game ''templar'' means freemason/illuminati) and I adore when AC shows the '' universal enemy'' that the propaganda of today wants you to see as the ''bad guys '' (British/Crusaders) as not actually so bad and perhaps the ''good guys'' from a different perspective. I loved that I could kill more Yanks in this game than the British ,although I wish your choices would reflect on what side you choose to ally with and not automatically end up working for the yanks. If your actions had a more profound effect and you ended up supporting the British in the end, the game would be 100 times better. But I digress, this is not the worst part of the game for me. ''oh no... the world is in peril, all of humanity is in danger ....again ... '' World ending stakes does not equate to a good/suspenseful story. I don't care 1 bit about the story outside of history/the animus, I just want the historical content. My favourite ACs are 1,Origins,2,Brotherhood and Unity. Revelations' setting of Constantinople was superb, but the half arsed npc design ( copy and paste potato face) really placed that game on the back burner for me. Medieval, in cities that are policed by soldiers , guards and police forces , shows exactly why stealth and assassins were a reality/necessity. Those settings are superb. But to be in an open world with sprawling fields ,fighting against armies with rifles/muskets is what makes the game/setting dim-witted and non enjoyable to me. There is no need for stealth when you fight mostly in fields and in reality, if you come up against a professional army of line infantry , you will be mowed down by a volley of musket fire within 10 seconds of an engagement. That is why I don't care for this ASSASSINS creed. AC 3 and Black flag doesn't feel one bit like assassins creed games...and that is not a bad thing.
Naaah. This list off for me. Unity is definitely better than Syndicate. Origins is the best in the ancient trilogy. AC 1 wasn’t that good of a game and the reviews at the time was spot on, people just have nostalgia glasses on with that. Lol. And no way in fuck is Brotherhood better than 4, that one is just criminal. But hey, this isn’t my list. AC1 needs a remake though.
I don't understand why people don't like the modern day aspect of these games. Without it, the series loses a lot of its nuance and depth and kinda becomes a generic action game set in the past, as opposed to adding another interesting layer on top of the ancestor story. What's more, it's maybe the only thing that connects these games and makes them a coherent, unique experience.Furthermore, its the bloody identity of the series. You can't have Assassin's Creed without the Modern Day segments, like it was established in the first game. Moreover ,If you hate the Modern Day so much, either provide me with interesting arguments as to why it "sucks",because I would argue it creates some of the best story beats and gameplay variety in this series , or create an entirely new series, called " I Just Wanna Play As An Epic Viking and get the most Legendary Armor Sets ,after completing Epic Viking Raids" which is set in the past, so that AC can be Assassin's Creed and not Ass Ass Queef.
The modern day is just uninteresting to me. I like playing AC to see the historical figures and the architecture in different environments and time periods. I have no interest in Desmond, or anyone else don't even know their names.
@@skytheguyguyThanks for replying skytheguyguy! .That is perfectly fine. You don't have to like it. I have no problem with people not liking the modern day. And I can see it being annoying for people who just wanna see the historical aspects of these games. I just absolutely love it and I kinda find it more interesting than the rest of the game, because the historical aspect is just supposed to be a backdrop for the central sci-fi story of these games. That's why I find it weird that you would find the modern day uninteresting, because it is THE game. Like,do you just not engage with the story at all? Cause even if the story sometimes revolves around the history of the era , it is made clear by the end that the central plot is the modern day and the Isu and stuff. It's just confusing. Maybe you don't play Assassin's Creed for the story at all, but the story is kinda shoved in your face, so why don't you hate Assassin's Creed? Do you just want it to become something else altogether? Something that it's not? As I said in the beginning,I have no problem with anyone not liking the Modern Day and stuff. I don't think anyone cares. Most people however that love the Modern Day like me, are just scared that this franchise will just ditch all it's story aspects and become something entirely different, when it was so freaking unique. I mean, why not make another franchise entirely with just stories in the past? Cause that is not what Assassin's Creed is. I don't know if you'll read all this text. It's quite long. I just find it an interesting conversation. That's all. Maybe I just wasted my time and you just don't care. Which is perfectly fine, again. Cause this is a kind of hypothetical conversation and you have to care to engage in it.
IMHO, lists like this are pretty pointless, but not because average critics' scores don't matter (in my opinion, they do), but because scores don't age well and, perhaps more importantly, they age _differently_ (like people 😢).

So it takes a little bit to get good with again but once I'm there I'm good for the playthrough. But yeah I'm sure I've aged in some other games in certain ways. Sekiro for sure being one of them 🤣
@@colinhoeg4728 I play it once in a while but I've found I can't get back to the same level the last few times. Played Smackdown HCTP recently and had some struggles but I used to be a near perfect machine on that game.
@WideOldDan lol aye I'm 32. I get it bro. Honestly I think the only reason my gaming reflexes havnt withered away as much is cause of playing smash bros so sweaty. If I didn't have that I'd be probly done.
Could be my Nostalgia glasses Assassin's Creed on the DS was mind-blowing before its time sure it wasn't open world with the gameplay was fun
I knew Altair's Chronicles would be last lol
I never played Unity before 2024 .... And in 2024 I can tell that it is today an amazing one, that I can rank it higher than Brotherhood which I truly enjoyed, and as high as Black Flag (the 2 other AC I have)
The crowd is impressive, Paris is wonderful, the interiors enhance so much the stealth and parkour, 2 things which are actually really well done in Unity. Fighting in Unity can be so tricky that being a ghost assassin is really satisfying
I love Syndicate. I think it’s mostly the setting and Starrick as the big bad.
He puts the "ass" into "assassin" really killed me.
Please do a Final Fantasy one soon! 🙏🙏🙏
Proud Unity apologist
How about rank every Nickelodeon franchise in video game the worst to best
As somone with 100% sync in all the mainlome entires, my favorites are definitely unity, 2, rogue and revelations.
Least favourite is valhalla. By a very large margin.
Valhalla is great. Put 200 hours in it and never got bored.
Only You Tubers who rushes through the games ans have 2 week time to do so to give review complained its too big. They made people believe its not good.
When I finally played it myself I regretted I didnt play it earlier. Its not too big, its great rpg which has content for months and enterteined me months.
@@susanna8612 no new game plus tho just ruins it
syndicate behind Valhalla is insane.
I haven't played an Assassin's Creed game since ACIII, but I'm going to give this everything I've got.
I've heard folks compare Aleppo to the likes of Debenham and Deal. Which is a bit harsh. Aleppo's alright. To quote one of my favourite comedians: "Nobody in Aleppo is off their tits before Pointless!"
You put Valhalla/Origins/Odyssey above Revelations & AC1? That's actually insane.
Origins and odyssey but not Valhalla I'll agree with
I love Rouge, not my 100% favouirte but if they'd had more time and been able to implement the other main city (Montreal if I remember correctly) it would be my number 1. I love that this game allows you to look at things from another perspective.
Origins was super fun and beautifully made
I haven’t played all of AC’s but AC2 has always been my favorite and after many years I just started playing it again 😁
Ahh… The most handsome assassin makes the top of the list. 😍
Let’s be honest here, any TRUE Assassin’s Creed fan knew AC2 would be at the top!
No matter how you feel about the games, all of us wanted to do parkour after our first Assassins Creed game
Nobody knew what parkour was then. It wasn't even a thing.
Unity has a case to be No. 1.
Unity was actually 1 of the better games outside of the glitches. Co-op missions. Customizable clothes. 1st one you could equip different weapons. And a solid story
Jack the Ripper DLC was the best part of Syndicate by far. Top DLCs all time
Wow the disrespect on Valhalla was quite harsh, it is such a damn good game with a lot of content.
I was thinking the same thing. Some people really hate the newer games for some reason. I thought Valhalla was great and odyssey is one of the best action RPGs ever made. I do think my 2 favourites atr black flag and 2. But the newer games are great too
@@ReproBates I feel that if you love a good PRG and enjoy Assassins Creed lore then the trilogy of games are perfect
I adored both Valhalla and Odyssey. They are near-perfect RPGs to me! Black Flag is my fave AC game, but I will always love the newer games too.
@@ReproBates"for some reason" getting rid of almost everything worth of a AC game and making an RPG bloated with repetitive content and lousy scenes is a damn good reason to hate the RPG era of AC games.
@CYB3R2K as opposed to the old games which had terrible gameplay (black flag notwithstanding) and created a game with a great combat system
Assasin’s creed forever ❤❤
Unity isn't a game I particularly like but that was ridiculous reasoning. Why are we still talking about bugs that were fixed nearly a decade ago? How about the fact that nothing works quite right?
Played and completed AC1, 2, Brotherhood and Revelations.
Three was Okay but I completely lost all interest when they introduced ship mechanics into a game series based on Assassination and stealth in Black Flag.
I've been playing them since the very first. I haven't played all of them, but the most I enjoyed were ac2 black flag and odyssey.
Damn, that’s crazy because assassin’s creed Russia is my favorite one out of the trilogy
-Unity deserves a better spot for how it plays NOW!
-Revelations is the best of the Ezio Trilogy (fight me on it)
-I cannot believe Valhalla and Odyssey and Origins are as high as they are when they have almost nothing to do with any of the other games (I never liked Origins being the start of the whole timeline when i never gave a single shit about Bayek and his wife.)
-I actually don't mind AC2 being #1, it was my first AC game and it is still fantastic
Revelations was the worst
Hard disagree on Unity. Did you guys actually play it or is this just a list based on public reception? Despite it’s rough technical state at launch owing to Ubi severely underestimating how much power the new gen of consoles would actually have, the game itself is really good and ahead of it’s time. And it is the distinction of being the only coop AC title. It’s looked back on extremely fondly these days by the community and is well up there in the list personally.
Black flag will always be my personal favorite and favorite game ever
Placing unity this low is criminal!!!! Try playing the current version, it is easily top 5.
Unity is in my top 3:
AC Brotherhood (Peak Ezio)
AC Unity
AC3
I think it's extremely unfair to criticize Unity today for bugs that were present 10 years ago. It was the last mainline AC title that had any ambition while maintaining the pillars of Assassin's Creed.
i always love these types of videos by triple jump they make my day every time
Odyssey will forever be my favourite AC game. Love the Greek mythological world and this game perfected it. Playstyle, characters, story, music. All perfect to me.
Yeah...Played ODYSSEY 3000h😂😂😂...
One of the worst AC games...
@@CYB3R2K Alrighty
@@CYB3R2K nobody cares assassin creed...😀😀😀
Ummmm have you all not been paying attention? Unitys reputation has done a complete 180 the past couple of years especially in light of the last few games. These guys just go off of old review scores which often leads to rankings that feel completely out of date and irrelevant. We need rankings that take into account the launch state whilst not ignoring current discourse.
They took the easy route, but they admit it in the beginning.
Bruh.. have to use chapters for a video that’s 40+ minutes long. 😣
Rah-ton-hak-ay-ton
I really wish I liked the Assassin's Creed games more. They should be something I love, with all the open worlds and stealth action and history... but the modern-day Abstergo parts just ruin them for me. "Genetic memory?" Really? You had me at "assassin," why are you muddying the waters like this? The last thing I want in my cool historical assassin simulator is to be some regular dude getting strapped down to a table by Kristen Bell and ohhhh never mind I get it now.
Syndicate #1
1: Black flag
2: AC2
3: AC Brotherhood
My personal top 3.
Odyssey is my least favourite game of all time and i don’t even mind alexios or his sister
00:49: So Ace Attorney is incomplete.
That's probably because you can finish it in a day
@@kanglongshankz3313 What Rogue? I didn't finish it in a day, it took me over a week. I don't rush games as it is, and I'm old as dirt so I can't sit here for hours and hours anymore lol
In terms of gameplay alone. Unity (after all the patches) is probably the best Ac game. Best combat. Best stealth. Best parkour
The fact that Valhalla and Odyssey is ranked higher on this list than Syndicate and Revelations is mind boggling.
What’s mind boggling is your inability to accept other people’s opinions
I would put Ac 4 over Brotherhood. I agree with the rest of the list.
Liberations definitely did have the first WOC and I'm not trying to downplay that representation, but Altaïr is literally a Syrian character, or Persian in that time period, do people from the Middle East not count as POC?
Who cares? Representation is silly. Game characters shouldn't be rated by how nonwhite they are.
I really love odyssey just bought it last month..
Origins was amazing. Best AC game since Brotherhood
Unity made me feel more like an Assassin than any other game in the series.
Please do every X-men or Power Rangers game. Been asking for years now.
Unity was the second best assassin's Creed game ever made assassin's Creed 2 gets my number one spot
Valhalla is easily the worst entry for me. it’s the only mainline Assassin’s Creed and one of the few games I’ve dropped and never finished. It’s insane how bloated and boring that game is.
When you doing a best street fighter games or even better characters you've mk
Just your friendly neighbourhood irritant requesting a rankem for ever weapon based racing video games.
Rules:
Need at least one weapon
Must do laps around a track in a racing format
The issue with a list like that is the massive, massive amount of shovelware Kart racers.
I'd rather have seen a ranked personalised catalogue of the games that YOU have played rather than this soulless list you compiled using VGChartz.
true also does no one know that assassins creed nexus was released 7 months ago
hes the only person ive seen whos ranked that game
Worst to best is my favorite thing you guys do, however this is probably the first list I have major disagreements with. Everyone concentrates on how Unity released, but ignore the game that it actually became once the bugs were worked out. Odyssey is way overrated and they made this huge world with nothing in it. Brotherhood is simply a better game than AC 2. Finally Rogue is the best AC game mechanically (although one of the worst story wise) I think the conventional wisdom of AC content creators and the AC reddit community is going to hate this list. It is still hella entertaining though
Can we ever get an all MMOs ranked worst to best?
These games are...maybe a bit like the Magic Tree House books???
The atrocity of putting unity below Valhalla, odyssey, syndicate, and rogue is crazy. Unity is peak AC.
Same bro the only problem is unity was hella rushed and so many glitched but still one of my fav AC games
Odyssey is still fun no direction after killing you're brother or sister but its a huge map lots of shit to do
IMHO, lists like this are pretty pointless, but not because average critics' scores don't matter (in my opinion, they do), but because scores don't age well and, perhaps more importantly, they age _differently_ (like people 😢).
There is only one ‘Big E’… anything else is heresy…
they could just make a movie on ezio
I genuinely didnt like odyssey.
