I feel like I can say the WILDEST stuff about a brand or product in a review and people still think I'm being paid for these (I'm not). Its almost become a game.
I think this keyboard is great! I got it before all the reviews came out since i switched to a minimalist setup. While I definitely agree that $150 is a big ask, this keyboard brings 2.4ghz to those who want to cut the wire. I hate seeing wires on my workspace, be it a simple wire or those clunky spiral ones. So this keyboard definitely ticks the right boxes for me. Until other 60-75% keyboards offer 2.4ghz, Im definitely sticking to this one. I can't think of any other keyboards with this form factor that offers 2.4ghz wireless. The other features such as the battery indicator, touch bar and the dust cover are excellent bonuses for me too as I use them quite a bit.
Would u recommend Ducky One 2 SF or this one? I need the arrow keys so I gotta choose between them. One 2 SF has a far better RGB, that's the only thing that would make me look at the SF, don't know if it's worth getting it because of that
This is one of those products that really tell you which reviewer gets paid by the manufacturer and which not (or do not accept it). Big respect, man, loved the video and honesty!
I just posted my review of the same keyboard today, too bad our market here in Serbia is pretty small for custom solutions so this one, Redragon Draconic and Huntsman Mini are our only 60-65% options.
Watched a few videos over time, found myself saying "Oh this guy is good," when looking for a review of this keyboard. Wondered why I hadn't subscribed yet (this issue has no been resolved). Great work on this review and overall channel!
Thanks for the transparent review. I was really close to ordering this, but that irregular key-cap sizing is a deal-breaker, not to mention the lack of sound-dampening.
Not exactly a fan of the board but for someone who loves customs I can respect the dust cover/case cover and the touchscreen thing side. This gives me some ideas for a high end custom with a built on dust cover and like a touchpad for volume or whatever. I really want to design my own keyboard but I just don't know where to start. I'm not talking acrylic case im talking high end with some cool never seen features like this but done right. I need to figure something out. Great video Dadseed definitely gave me some ideas here.
You know what, I decided to give the falchion a try- and I absolutely love it. Much better than my g503 carbon ive replaced 😊 the cherry reds are a dream, and it feels good :) i don't mind the sound at all, I actually think there is some dampening in the UK version I have :) Granted I could have probably built one for the same money that's better. I also just got the model O wireless and I bloody love both of them. Thanks for the content, and thanks for the recommendations :P
I ordered this today and got it for 130 euros! Did you have Romer-G Tactile or linear switches? I have the same G503 Carbon with the Tactile switches and they feel kinda mushy and and stuff, I went to a local store to try out the red switches on the hyperx red and they felt pretty good, I was trying to see if I'd like linear switches when I thought I wouldnt and coming from tactile romer-g's I think I'll like the mx reds. I think it's more satisfying to bottom out red's than my current g503. So in conclusion I wanted to ask if going to cherry mx reds from the romer g switches was a good and satisfying choice and if If the keyboard is as good as it seems? From what I've seen it seems nearly perfect because 65% is the perfect middle ground and I don't care for modding and as I've seen the cons of this kb is mostly modding related
I agree with the conclusion that Keychron K2V2 would be a better solution, I've been using it for the past 5 months and so far I've switched 3 keycap sets and there was not too much trouble with fitting any of them on the K2V2. The keycap sets that I've tried are the following: - Pudding V2 from KPRepublic - OEM profile. - SA Chalk from KPRepublic - SA profile - G.Skill Crystal Crown white - OEM profile (only this set didn't had a right shift {1.75u} for the K2V2, so I used the pudding one)
Another great video, I am really enjoying the content that is being uploaded. Quick question, I am wanting to get the ducky one 2 mini but the only thing holding me back is the case back; the scratches that can appear because of the glossy plastic. I would really like to hear some comments on this subject as I cannot find that much online. Keep up the good work!
I purchased this keyboard, was so excited for it. Everything worked great when plugged in wired... as soon as I put it on wireless mode it was double press the keys while I typed and I could not find a single solution online to fix this. Its clearly a software issue because it works perfectly when plugged in.
Good review as always and agree on your statement saying that mainstream boards have to bring a lot of value when entering certain markets/segments. On the topic of 65% boards, will you be looking at/reviewing the Tecware B68 or the RK68?
Just to Add, Keychron still is yet to implement software or QMK / VIA compatibility until the K12. So that; could be a big downer for many who are planning on opting for the Kx KB's. At least to me, the RGB variants felt kind of useless but don't get me wrong. They make some solid KB guess GK68xs (Non-Alu One) is still a champ vs ROG Falchion if someone wants something that has wireless and software compatibility and can be worked on too. I hated that Asus intentionally used non-standard keycaps to sell their PBT Keycap sets :3!
Any reviews for Keychron in the works? I have the K8, accidentally ordered the hot swap optical browns instead of mechanical but ended up loving it once lubed. Really great keyboard IMO
normally I'm not a fan at all of the aggressive gamer aesthetic but honestly this is kind of an exception for me, think it's because it looks more premium than the average gaming product
On the plus side, more competition in the 2.4Ghz wireless, non-bluetooth keyboard space is my dream. Currently rocking an Anne Pro 2. Definitely keen for a lower latency board for gaming, but not at this price (or the G915 price, eesh!).
when I saw this keebs go up for sale I smashed the buy now button like it was your subscribe button. I threw a lawn chair open by my mailbox and waited for it. I tore it out of the box like I was Poe and there was a telltale heart inside of it, I gawked at it's super sharp looks and incredible fully lit switches. Boy this thing would look cool with puddings I thought. Can't get them but yeah bet it'd be cool. At the time of me buying this smol boi Asus had offerings of the standard lineup of cherrys but also this Scissor switch NX thing they made. I had the NX Reds I used it all weekend and mistyped and misclicked more than when I taught my German Shepherd how to play COD, the scissor switches on Asus NX Reds are hair-trigger. As a 60% collector I have a bunch of these boards but I never knew how much I held onto the left side of the board with my pinky or something when playing/typing stuff because I cant tell you how many times I adjusted the goddamn volume on accident. I went in the crate software which btw has twice as much bloat as synapse 3 with half the usefulness, and I looked everywhere for a way to disable the touchbar, it only took 30sec to look everywhere since asus armoury crate has less stuff to do or customize in an entire application UI than a Reddragon keyboard has in it's basic firmware keyboard shortcut navigations. I'll say that the Falchion wins in lighting efficiency, switches are 100% lit compared to even my most delightfully obnoxious Razer keeb. I love the dustcover too, dunno why it gets the hate it does for including this, IMO all mech keyboards should come with one standard. Only other board I have that came with one was a Logitech g9 something from 4yrs ago. These days you have to pay some boutique $400 for an acrylic cover which takes a snappy 5-9 weeks shipping, I'll already have enough dog hair in my keyboard to name it Spot and take it out on piss breaks by then. But yeah I wanted to love this thing and Asus even asked reviewers to use it for a day or two before reviewing it because of how light and quick the keys are. I could get used to that but just like Badseed, the woeful functionality of the key-bindings which is super important on a 60% and more accidental usage than intentional of the touch bar had me pack this unit up and ship it back to the Republic of ch-gamers. I feel like a tool using Razer stuff but I'm afraid I might have to get the new Huntsman I fondled at the Blue Store last week.
One problem I've had in the past with the Armoury Crate software is the amount of places it installs on your PC and how difficult it is to get rid of it entirely. That on it's own is a massive deterrent for me if I was in the market for a new board. The software genuinely felt like a virus at times
$150 could get you a KBD67 Lite, 70 Gateron milky caps of your choice, and a cheap set of keycaps from banggood. I appreciate what prebuilts are trying to do, but they are 3 years too late to the space to be charging this much.

You definitely should reconsider. The caps on the Anne Pro 2 aren’t even really great examples of PBT. You can pick up a quality set that will last you a lifetime for $50 or under. And I’m with you on the arrows. Most times I don’t miss them but scripting and particularly editing, they’re really useful.
ASUS ROG has less feature than Epomaker GK68XS at the same price. Limited customization. But yeah, the 65% mainstream should be good enough... But I think there are better alternatives with lower price with more or less identical quality.

Bought two of these, one for myself and one for the S.O. through Amazon (not sure if Asus gives them an inferior version or not) but both keyboards had issues with the wireless adapter not having a range of more than 3-4 feet before missing keystrokes or having keystroke register multiple times (eg: keysttttttttroke)... Wired the keyboard was great but if you're buying this wireless keyboard to use it wirelessly it is absolutely hot garbage... They needed to invest more than 50¢ in the wireless adapter and this would have been a winner

Dig the honesty 👌
love the vids keep up the amazing work
Ps5 compatible?
Thanks for the review on this as I’m looking for a regular keyboard for my nephew .
Really torn between this and the gmmk pro
gmmk pro %100. The asus keyboard isn't even hotswap.
@@slimsam3447 right, it doesn’t come in white/silver, either. However, it is wireless, etc. Pros and cons either way
I like aspects of it, but the font is TRASH and the non standard 'caps and Hideous price is a deal breaker
i skip this keeb after watching the ads on ROG Global channel that said "precision and tactile feedback" while showing cherry red
Now that I’m in the keyboard space and have the supplies … I want to go back and mod this thing since it’s only been collecting dust
That cherry jab was awesome 😂
Great video cant wait for the next one
Curious out of the new 60 perxent from big manufacturers like the new asus 60 percent the razer mini and fhe corsair 65 60 percent board out of those which is the best. I have high end board wanna get a extra board for more rgb stuff irs either one of those or just get the easy one ducky mecha mini
This channel is becoming "send your production board out for a roast" 😂
I *hate* that too but yiiikes. 😁 This board had so much potential but they squandered it with rookie mistakes.
You should play Kratos in there live action series. Apply for it, you'd win the role ez
