apple just needs to admit defeat already and set up iPad Pros for dual-OS with iPadOS and macOS, with seamless switching depending on whether it's docked/connected to a magic keyboard or bt keyboard and mouse.
I was anxiously waiting for this comparison because i don't think any RUclipsr knows the tab S-9s better than you. The Tab S10 ultra will crush the M4 iPad for these reasons 1) 75% anti reflective display, gorilla glass amour display. 2) Dex 3) Bluetooth S-pen & included in the box
Excellent video, Ivan. I have both, I use the 2024 iPad Pro 13 inches for reading content and the Samsung tab s9 Plus for watching content. For work, I have a Microsoft Surface laptop 15 inches.
The Pro is designed for media creators and Artists. It has a few Pro Apps that the m4 is designed for. Both tablets would be excellent purchases, dependant on what you wish to use them for.
Seriously considering this as an upgrade to my 11" Air 3. I'm also considering the Galaxy tabs, but these are the points I'm unsure about as an iPad user: 1) Battery life, particularly standby battery life, the iPad's excellent, whereas Qualcomm's processors seem to be struggling in the energy-efficiency department; 2) Long-term support, Apple's software updates are reliable for upwards of 5 years, Samsung is less reliable with their updates, both in quantity and schedule. The Tabs are cheaper and it helps that the pencil (and keyboard case) come bundled. I might also wait and see what the specs are for the Tab S10.
Well Samsung does offer the same amount of software support as Apple on the tablets and 7 years on their new gen phones. All flagship Samsung devices are highly energy efficient, on top of the new cooling system that takes things to the next level. Frankly, if you are considering either an iPad or a flagship galaxy tablet, none of those should cause for worries - instead, make sure that either choice goes with your lifestyle, and you should be good
I got mine today the 13 inch iPad Pro space black base model Wi-Fi only and I have an LG c1 oorsair 45 in oiled and that’s probably beats both as far as picture
I really thought about upgrading my iPad 10th with 256GB, but decided because I already have a Tab S9, I didn't need to. I did upgrade my M1 Macbook Air to M3, that's it for this year 🤣. I've had iPad Pro devices in the past, but just didn't feel a Pro experience. Once again a great review and user experience from you.
I'm a fan of Samsung and really a fan of my Tab S7+, but honestly, the reason why I haven't upgraded since then is because the new Tab S don't bring anything in terms of power, they're still cruelly below the iPads, and even below the iPad Pro 2018. To say that the power of the M4 is useless is not honest, it serves to make the new iPad Pro M4 future proof, and with the arrival of emulation and alternative Stores on iOS/iPad OS, I can tell you guarantee that within 2 years when these M4 iPads will be around $600 reconditioned or second hand, and the M1/M2 even cheaper, Android tablets and especially Samsung (because of their price as high as the iPads), will have a hard time selling if they do not switch to processors like the X Elite. Just like today no one wants to buy a Google Pixel (because of Tensors) as expensive as a Galaxy S, in 1-2 years, no one will agree to pay for a Galaxy Tab S (with smartphone processors) as expensive if not more expensive than an iPad Pro M4, not to mention the M5/M6 which will be released in the meantime. Today, the iPad Pros have better screens than the Tab S while it was really one of the selling points of the Tab S, if tomorrow, Apple reforms "Stage Manager" and makes it as flexible as Dex, what strength does Samsung have left? As fans of Samsung/Android, let's stop hiding our faces and being complacent towards Samsung, we need at least a processor like Snapdragon possibility of dual boot Android/Windows, Windows for ARM is there and functional. 🙏🏽
I always appreciate your good insights. I don't think it's dishonest to say that the M4 is useless to the average consumer (which is the context I shared in the video); Apple's sales numbers are always up there, and we all know those numbers aren't driven by the tech enthusiasts, but the simple layman - that's what I was referring to, which is also why I said they're better off with the M1 ipad pro, as it'll offer better value to the average person. The last thing I'm going to add here is that, given how quickly technology evolves, it's not a great idea to purchase a tech product in hopes that the manufacturer makes changes at some point in the future that'll allow the full potential of said device. It goes without saying that you've been watching the channel long enough to know that, although I'll always advocate for the side of value, I can also recognize when something is awesome! Like this ipad pro👍🏾 Appreciate you watching bro.
@IvanKam11 First of all, I'm not new to the channel, I would even say that I'm one of the oldest subscribers. Then, regarding the unnecessary power of the M4, you contradict yourself, when you recommend the M1 iPads If you can recommend them today, it is clearly because their hardware was ahead of its time 🤷🏽♂️, it is clearly the same thing for the M4s which will drop in price and will be ahead of the next 2 generations of Tab S if Samsung does not change its processors on its tablets. Apple is certainly stubborn, but not stupid, and I can guarantee you that in the next 2 years, iPad-OS (Stage Manager) will get closer to Dex, and the forced opening of iOS by EU will be more beneficial to Apple unlike what Apple itself thinks. And I haven't even mentioned the new Surface Pro 2024 which will be one of the biggest problems for the Galaxy S.
@@rolins3279 Yes indeed, you are one of my oldest subscribers, and I certainly appreciate you along with the civilized disagreements you and I can have (like this one). My saying "...it goes without saying you've been watching the channel long enough..." was the affirmation that you are one of my foundation supporters - I have no clue how you took that as me saying you're new to the channel, but hey 🤷♂...not sure what to say here... Firstly, as far as the power of the M4 goes, I've never questioned for one second the longevity or the prowess of Apple's hardware; if anything I'm saying the opposite - I stated that it's so powerful and so good that it's a shame that it's put in a device that cannot even dare extract all that potential, and that my hope is that Apple announces some new unlocks/launches and ways to tap into that power more, at the upcoming WWDC24. Secondly, you seem to be moving the goalpost of the discussion: can most people use the new iPad pro to the full potential of the M4 chip? The resounding answer is simply NO. Finally, I have no idea where you see the contradiction, with me recommending the M1 to the average consumer - in my humble opinion, the average person will find better value in going for one the previous models, as they'll be more affordable, yet still super powerful. This line of recommendation goes with what I try to support on this channel. As far as your last statements go, I do agree - Apple is not a trillion dollars company by mere luck. Certainly hoping that some of the points I highlighted above, brought some clarification and again, I appreciate your support👊🏾
Unless Apple brings the ability to dual boot into macOS or revamps iPadOS where it allows the same functionality as a Mac, the M4 chip will be pointless.
I like Samsung but i think the only reason that i stay with apple is because their ecosystem to me is unbeatable. And for work related tasks its the best.
It’s unfair to say Apple made the accessories incompatible on purpose, especially for an owner of the S9 Ultra. I had the S8 Ultra and S9 Ultra and that keyboard didn’t survive more than one generation whereas the original Magic Keyboard supported iPads going back to 2018, encompassing the 2018, 2020, 2021, and 2022 iPad Pros and the 5’th and 6’th generation iPad Airs. In other words, Apple had a keyboard that lasted for six years while Samsung couldn’t get past one year. The keyboard was mostly revised because of the significant weight changes allowing the keyboard to be lighter because the iPad got lighter. The Pencil was also made incompatible with earlier iPads because of the change of the camera to landscape. They had to move things around since the camera sits where the charging and pairing mechanism was in older iPads. They did not make things incompatible for no reason.
When I said "...for no reason...", I was being facetious - I know they have their reasons for doing what they do. That said, I fully agree with your other points, specifically as it relates to the S9 Ultra (which I did share my discontentment about, when I reviewed it on the Tab S9 Ultra) - I also agree with the second point you made about the previous magic keyboard support of the other ipads. Thanks for joining the convo👍🏾
Great stuff..I watch my videos on my Samsung ULTRA 9..(best ratio ever )..will I trade in my Ipod pro M2. 13" on a new M4 ? - just to get..a slightly better screen & better keyboard ....seeing I don't do any video editing /gaming 😮 ...big cost for a little gain !!! You man should go for the 13" ...it's beautiful 😅😅😅
For whatching videos is there a big difference between the 13” ipad pro and the 11” like video size for instance? cause im comsidering the 11” cause its cheaper than the 13” and has same technology
There certainly is a difference when you put them side by side. I have both, but will generally recommend the 11", unless you're an artist and need the additional screen real estate
@@Johnmims65If you find yourself watching with the tablet in your lap, go for 11". If you watch content when the ipad is on a desk or surface that's away from your body go for 13"
If you're going to be making heavy use of the S Pen, yes, go ahead and buy one, but make sure NOT to buy the matte screen protector. Only buy the regular one, for the S Pen longevity sake.
Thank you very much for the video I was happy that you're back Hope you're doing well when the Samsung starts putting a data plan on there 11-in tablets again then I will come back to Samsung and get one but right now I need the smaller tablet Thank you for always making great videos I hope you have a fantastic day
I agree with Samsung adding 4G\5G models, I miss that. However, a few weeks ago I was out and had my Tab S9 with me. The Auto Hotspot on my S24+ kicked in before I even had a minute to panic 😆, that was awesome.
riding ferrari in bumper in bumper traffic, a very nice way to describe apple overpower chip on their ipad, For me ipad would be better if they use same chip like their iphone pro line up, price would be "cheaper", and also would be offer different performace with same chip since ipad thermal management is better than iphone.
Why don’t you speak about iPadOS 18 and the WWDC in 2 days which will improve the experience about the M4 iPad Pro. Every RUclipsr who make a video on the M4 iPAd Pro speaks on the limitations on the software like but speaks about the future of iPadOS and his expectations but not you 🤷♂️

Specs wise it’s great but I’ll still take my Tab S9 any day. It’s cheaper and can do a lot more stuff.
Can't run any Adobe products. I have the S8+ and dig it but need Adobe. So..
I tried the fold 5, it was "fine", won't get another fold until they stop making awful compromises with the battery and camera
I just ordered the Galaxy Tab S9 (256GB, 12GB RAM, 5G) with a free Smart Book Cover for 595€. I’m an iPhone user, but this deal was unbeatable.
where did you get the deal from?
I'm not fond of google products. Yes I havnt tried their tablet but ive seen their UI and I'm not fond of it. I like apple but yea google is cheaper
Am I the only one who hate this current camera landscape? I used this for mostly for reading in portrait mode.
