The EU has banned Apple from including the charging brick with new devices, iPhones and iPads. As there have been so many charging bricks causing E-Waste for Europe, this has become the solution. Seeing as this is going to require consumers purchasing the charging bricks, this seems like a bad idea but at the same time, I understand the want to minimize electrical waste. A give and take indeed. Thank you for reviewing the 11 inch as I'm not finding many people reviewing the 11 inch over the 13 inch. I hope the iPad brings you more entertainment than you anticipate!
@@hulkincredible8169 Do you not suppose people already have a lot of charging bricks in 2024? Over a decade on from the introduction of USB bricks? And many many years into the standardization of higher wattage bricks with USB C? Do you think there's a possibility people may have several of these in their homes already? Maaaaaaaybbe just maybe someone found out about this conjecture of mine. And decided that it would be a good idea to stop shipping them in every new product.
I think the theory is not every device needs to come with a wire and brick anymore since they standardized usb-c plugs the assumption is people will own one already and China providing cheap micro usb or usb-c chargers with everything is pointless and wasteful
The brick they included before couldn't even charge it at maximum speed, so for anyone who cared about charging speed, they'd need a charger anyway. Apple's chargers are generally bad even when that's not an issue though since you can get chargers with multiple ports that charge as fast and are very good quality. I personally use anker chargers. Though my macbook pro max does use the included brick when at home, purchased the extension cable and never move it from where I sit most of the time. If I'm on the move, I either bring a big power bank or my anker charger. I just got the 11" ipad, thought it would include the 20w charger at least but it didn't, but honestly I don't think I would use it except for maybe as an extra charger that I chuck somewhere just in case, like my car. I can honestly see very clearly why chargers for devices like ipads, iphones and other similar devices a waste of both money and materials. It's much better to just buy one or two chargers with much higher W and far more ports yet the same size that you can use for at least 5-10 years than getting new ones almost every year. Macbooks excluded, of course, they're just another kind of machine and used in a way where it's good to have a dedicated charger.
I got my 13inch today and it’s absolutely amazing. I especially like the new Oled screen and the M4 seems great. Audio is peak! So I feel I made a great and worthy investment. Great video by the way! 👍🤩🙂
In the US, it’s just one copy of the documentation in English from what I’ve seen Also a charging brick isn’t included for these iPads purchased in the EU, just in case you aren’t aware
got M1 , A processor 13 inch pro ipads. And i just got 11inch m4, since it is very portable. Carrying around 13inch pro with keyboard feels like carrying a dumbed down MBP. so yeah for anyone I would say if you want Ipad pro go for 11inch highly portable and can do everything that 13inch ipad can.
So purchased the 11 inch ipad pro 256 GB one, and at the back it clearly says "includes ipad pro with nano-texture glass" and then in the same line "not all features included" and then right at the bottom says "with standard glass" now i know the nano-texture only comes in the 1 and 2 TB version, but i wonder if some one picks it up and reads it they will think they are getting one with nano-texture i find that misleading
@@captainspox935m4 pro easily imo, I originally bought the m1 iPad Air on sale and after using it for a week decided for me the OLED and 120 hz screen was worth exchanging the Air and paying an extra $500ish to get the pro. Seriously, I feel it's like a step in the wrong direction to make the battery smaller just to make it thinner. Yeah, lighter, cool, but I'd rather it be 25-50% heavier and have far more battery life than the 10 hours max or so we get now. I don't see ipads as a device you hold 24/7 in the first place and my case alone weighs almost 500g, more than the ipad itself. Even with 200-300g more weight, it'd still be more than manageable to hold for hours and it's easy to just rest it on things or have a case with various stand options (I use the ESR case). It's even more useless that it's so thin, it just makes it harder to grab properly for very little weight reduction, you need a bulky case to hold these ipads properly. Well, the battery life is fine, I suppose. More than enough for a side device, if you don't use safari or watch videos, you'll likely get many hours out of it, especially if you turn down the brightness a bit, can probably get more hours with a power saving mode which I assume exists. It's easy enough to bring a powerbank or charger along and if someone is really bothered by the battery life, there are battery cases out there as well. It's more of an issue once the battery starts wearing out than when it's rather new. Just got my 11" ipad pro m4, it seems great to use so far. Too bad they re-designed the front camera and therefore the apple pencil as well. Now there are no third party pencils out there that work pretty good for a fraction of the price. The apple pencil is outrageously expensive for what it is. Same with the keyboard. I'll just skip out on a pencil for now and I pair it with a logitech mx keys mini and mx anywhere 3s, both which are much cheaper yet high quality, nicer to type on and more versatile since it has quick pairing with 3 devices so I can use it with my phone and macbook as well. Wonderful otherwise, it's my first ipad ever, 11" is just right, about the size of half my 16" macbook pro screen, just nice for reading books/novels, watching videos and flipping through comics/manga, I only use half my macbook screen for that anyway and while this is slightly less wide, it's a little bit taller. 13" would've been nice too, but it does make it a bit less portable even if I probably wouldn't mind, but it was about 40% more expensive in my case since I found my ipad pro on outlet (a returned unit first tested/used 54 days ago before being returned in the 14 day return window, but I got applecare+ so it's fine). I don't regret getting the ipad pro for just entertainment/media purposes, the smooth scrolling, high brightness, great oled, great speakers and face ID more than make up for the slight price difference and lower storage than I wanted in this case. I'm thinking of taking up writing so the keyboard and ipad would be a great on-the-move writing experience. My macbook pro max m3 is just a bit too chunky to bring along everywhere even if it's light and compact compared to the gaming laptops I used to own.
Well my new gen 6 11” pro m4 just arrived. IMO my gen 3 11” iPad Pro has better dynamic range . The new oled screen looks washed out . Never expected that,as I assumed it would have been an improvement. Just an fyi , the new iPad was brighter at its default middle setting in the display control . I turned it down to match my old iPad Pro , which is at its middle default setting , but there’s definitely a difference in dynamic range , as the older iPads were superior
They have removed the stickers from the packaging of the iPad Pro, next they will try to sell the MacBook Air and Pro without a charger. I am all for the protection and preservation of the environment but taking the charger out does very little for the environment as most new users will have to purchase one in order to use their device. This charger will likely be purchased online This charger will come with its own packaging. In addition to that packaging, the charger's packaging must be placed in a shipment box for protection, in order to ensure that the item and its packaging arrive to the customer untarnished. This is very important. Can you imaging your MacBook Air or Pro coming with no charger? I have been an Apple user and fan since my first Mac: the Apple II, but I must say that the unboxing experience is becoming less interesting with each new product release as there is less to look forward to apart from the device itself and while that is what we all made the purchase for, it is safe to say that most of us look forward to extras when purchasing a premium device. Most customers who buy Apple products brand new from Apple, look forward to having a charger and Apple stickers to unbox. I never throw away the boxes for my Apple devices. If Apple keeps removing everything from the box, sooner or later customers feel they have less need to purchase the devices directly from Apple brand new. Many will start purchasing Apple products "used" and "refurbished" from third party sellers like Ebay or Amazon, since the box that once included official Apple accessories has been stripped to the bone.

Considering the price is similar for the 256gb storage (approx. $1000) and I still need to buy apple pencil as well. I am using it for media & note taking. For heavy use, I still have MBP M1 16 inch
