Sketching is an awesome ways to get ideas out of your head. Don't worry about striving for perfection but instead strive to explore using this quick method!
I love how you repeat that we don’t need it to be perfect and that’s because I’ve seen a lot of my peers thinking that they can’t draw because their sketches are not perfect. Also, I never thought of using photoshop to color my sketches even though I use it a lot. I might be using it a whole lot more now that I saw you’re video. Thank you for the awesome content.
1:17 - never done this, I used to go with a heavier pencil and redraw a lot. Sharpie is an awesome way and I’m going to show this video to my sister, she’s going to appreciate it big time.
This vid actually helped a lot!!! I was struggling to draw my design out but i got the basic structure out of my head and on to paper and now im adding in some detail that i like
Love this new format man - simple and interesting. It must also be less time consuming, right? It seems to be working too since you're almost at 400 subs! I think a crucial tip you forgot to mention is to not push too hard when you use the pen or pencil but rapid quick, light strokes. A lot of people draw badly because of that. Also, did you use a script? Because there was a lot of hums, pauses and all. I would suggest making a quick script to avoid that man.
Dude! You've been lost lol. I even messaged you on IG today cause it's been way too quiet around here. Yes, this video was really straight forward and didn't take much time at all. Especially since, as you noticed, I didnt make a script for this one. This was done on purpose: I always type up my scripts so that they sound as natural as possible but even then I feel like taking the opportunity to step back from that sometimes. So i took the opportunity with this video. While i was editing i noticed that there were alot of ums and pauses and I was going to edit it but I was like , eh whatever. A few vocal fillers never hurt anyone. Thanks again for your comment man, good to hear from you; hope all is well!
@@Moochers Hahha sorry man, I dont go on Instagram or any social media much but I always look forward to your next video! And Im quite alright. About to start my final exams so stressed but otherwise, could be worse. What about you? Do architects have final exams?
Been watching for a few months and really enjoy your content. I am currently in Interior Design school and find myself drawing all the time. Keep it up dude!
I have no idea how I came across this channel, but wish content like this was around when I did my Part 1! Presenting my work was always my weakest point and I always felt inadequate during crits. Videos like this would definitely have helped me, as I only had one tutor in my third year who took the time to help me develop in this area! I would love to see videos on physical models as well.
Hi, I'm a freshman in architecture, I was wondering if normally when we design a shop for example, are we responsible for listing the price and where to buy the furnitures we use in our design?
Depends on the school. Different school look for different things. Contact schools you would like to attend and ask them to provide samples of portfolios they have accepted. Generally speaking they want to see motivated students who have an interest in creativity, materiality, and putting things together.
Im in high school in what i think is called in english “vocation school” and im choosing architecture as my like workshop or vocation idk What im trying to say is Keep up the good work im happy i found this channel your vids are great That cons vid was really demoralizing tho but atleast you made a pros one haha Edit: i forgot to say You just gained a new sub Hope to see more from you in the future since you seem to be a very busy person haha
i think the end result would have been better if the proportions of the stairs would have match the rest of the building....i know what you mean more messy best result..but proportions and perspektive lines need to be right!!the coloring is amazing!! i will try photoshop!
oof, I would add a railing on the middle of the stairs, reduces the risk of getting an injury by tripping on the stairs. I love this video, I hope your channel skyrockets when the youtube algorithm recommends your videos to everyone . :) I SUBBED
Hey! Idk why but your comment was flagged as a spam comment so I want able to see it... but yes, those stairs could highly benefit from an added rail great point! I really appreciate the positive vibes and wishes. Thanks alot!!!!!
Im not sure what I want to major in and my high school time is running out haha. Your videos are really helping me consider if I want to study architecture.
Wow im totally stunned. Did you use a special pen to sketch this? Was it on an Ipad or computer? Or did you sketch this in one program then transfer it to indesign?
Which edit program you use man .....bro i just want to tell you ...i was thinking very seriously to become a architect...know i am sure that i want to be an architect thanks💪
Hey! Unfortanlty I do not have any experience with "architecture technology". Architecture is the study of buildings and how they are put together (design) to serve as functional spaces for whatever will take place inside. It also deals with aesthetics. I assume that architecture technology deals with that actual details that make up the architecture. I just googled it and I was right. So to explain it a bit more : if you study architecture, you will learn to design buildings - to create functional spaces. If you study architecture technology you will be the one who focuses on the manufacturing / construction of these spaces. For example , as an architect, I would design a room with a door and a window. If you have a background in architecture technology, you would provide more information on the type of door (material/construction) walls, windows, etc. Architects need to know this info too, but you would be more of a specialist. I still recommend you go to the school and ask for more information rather than rely on my, cause as I said, I do not have experience with this. Hope this helps though!
I've never used it, but there is a website called Photopea. It's similar to photoshop. Kind of looks like it too. It's free and it's web-based (I think you can download it too). You could try it out and let me know!

Really glad you think so Boris. Thanks for your comment. You know, if you have a student email, adobe gives you access to all their programs for only $20 a month. I think you have to commit for a year though. So that's what I really recommend. If this is still not an option then I suggest you get a nice set of colored pencils or preferably acrylic paint pens. The problem with these is how expensive they are. Faber-Castell is the brand I recommend for colored pencils and Chartpak is the brand I recommend for acrylic. Keep in mind you don't need to go crazy spending money on supplies. Maybe you could start out with a cheap set from amazon (make sure you make copies of your sketch before rendering it ). As far as other programs to try to color your sketches? I dont know any at the moment but I'll ask around and let you know if I find something ! (I'm sure there is )
All I want to my birthday is to have that markers but I feel sorry to myself because we're poor. I believe that someday I can buy those markers for my hobby😍. Im a grade 10 student and still thinking about my college life in architecture 😭
Sorry to hear that but I really do believe that you can achieve really great things in your life. Use your current situation as fuel to work toward success. Learn something new every day, work on becoming a better person every day and you'll go very far. Use that energy to grow rather than feel sorry for yourself. Feeling sorry for yourself just drains you; i'm saying this from experience. I wish you lot's of success, happiness, and motivation!
Hello Mr. Mooch. I hope I didn't disturb you. I want to buy a finliner to practice my Sketching skills but I can only afford one. I have a budget of 100 pesos I think it's 2 to 3 dollars here in the Philippines. Can I ask which fineliner and it's size will help me? I can afford only one. Actually my plan is Unipin Fine liner size of 0.1. What do you think is it good for my practice?
You don't have to do it this way! You can focus on making more "perfect sketches" Keep in mind though that these sketches are quick because sketches can be used to quickly document or convey ideas. You can make them look better for a final presentation.

Dude, love your work and ideas, keep it goin.
Hi, I'm a freshman in architecture, I was wondering if normally when we design a shop for example, are we responsible for listing the price and where to buy the furnitures we use in our design?
In school? No. In the real world we would provide a client an idea of what the furnishing will cost and who is providing it (the furniture)
In terms of sketches and finalized drawings, how extensive should a portfolio be to get into architecture school?
Depends on the school. Different school look for different things. Contact schools you would like to attend and ask them to provide samples of portfolios they have accepted.

May I know what sources will we get from?
I pay for photoshop. Sorry :[
Nice!!!
what is a sketchy line???
Quick question. What do you mean by "Sketchy Lines"?
Is it like "scratching"?
Exactly. Sketchy lines are when you go over the same line and the. It looks like a bunch of lines overlayed. You want as few lines as possible.
Thanks for the tips! This is really helpful! :)
Hey Kania! Really appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment. I'm really glad to hear it helped :)
Does anyone know the name of the app he used?
That's photoshop
What is the app your using to color the sketch building???
Cool video!
I like the sketches in your other vids too!
Thank you so much! So kind of you to let me know...
wait so i what i tried to draw a building i just like what u describe
I have troubles with colors in photoshop because im colorblind and they dont have labels. So i try my best at guessing😅
I never realized that. That's terrible. How have your previous designs come out using photoshop? What do others say?

Hey! This program is called Photoshop. I'm glad! Keep learning about architecture.
I have question!
What is the difference between architecture technology and architecture??
Are you referring to the name of a course? Like in university or college?
Mehtab Kanda yea

Soo its pretty the same
But in architecture technology you study more right
Well how about the difference between Engineering and Architecture?
How much do you pay for Ps? Im a student and wish there was a free student version.
