Second, and bear with me on this one, most of us who criticize the game, know that there were women who fought in the war. BUT! They were only *Soviet snipers* or *French Resistance Fighters*, not *US or UK frontline military*. They could have chosen to represent blacks instead if they wanted to focus on America's side of the war. What about the Tuskegee Airmen? Where are they? They were actually in the American army. But instead of showing how women took jobs men would usually do to help the country by producing weapons and clothes for the military (very important catalyst for women's civil rights which actually happened), the far left spoon-fed EA to slap on (what it is assumed from the trailer) a female frontline soldier, probably from the UK (not to mention that modern prosthetic). They could have done this in modern wars, but if you're going to accurately represent a war, at least get your facts right and don't please anyone's political agenda. Shoving politics into anything ruins it. If you want change, do it somewhere else. Address the government for issues like these, not a private company who's main purpose is to do business and entertain

To be fair mate Battlefield 1 had a realistic feel to it even if it was just in terms of how the game played with the animations of death. The least realistic bit is the fact weapons not used in WW1 were put in the game as otherwise we’d be spending most of our time with one shot rifles.
Certainly felt a lot more like actual war than the likes of COD which almost feel plastic.
The feeling of a crew running through trenches with you to capture an objective was brilliant. Especially on operations.
I agree though, this looks a bit silly by comparison and I’m disappointed.
I expect Battlefield 2 would have been released based on WW2 but that’s been put on hold as COD beat them to it.
Thus meaning we’ve got this shit instead.

Lad Back in the day it was about game mechanics, map design, and skill curves in vehicles. Now its about face paint, base building, BR, and pretty visuals. This series has gone to sh*t.
Battlefield series has turned into a mess, played the series since the start but they are pushing all the die hard 'original' fans away by making the game more casual based bullshit. So I completely agree with you. I was really hoping for another BF4 type game.
