I truly believe there is an incredible opportunity for software developers to create architectural software that performs as seamlessly and efficiently as the Mac operating system. As a dedicated Mac user, I value the reliability, security, and streamlined experience of the Mac ecosystem. Unfortunately, it has been frustrating to find that many architectural software options require a Windows machine, which often comes with bloatware and security vulnerabilities. It’s clear that Apple’s success in industries like film production software demonstrates the potential for them to expand into architectural design software. There is undoubtedly a significant demand among Mac users for a professional-grade solution in this field, and I’m confident Apple could replicate their success by offering such software for their systems. As someone who loves the Mac ecosystem, it’s disappointing to feel forced into using a Windows machine for my architectural work. I hope this feedback helps spark a conversation among developers about addressing the needs of Mac users in the architectural design space.
One of the challenges the developers face is that MACs speak different language than Windows, therefore it is hard to put development budget towards something they aren't sure they would be able to have return from. Another challenge is the hardware as Macs are relatively more expensive when you start to require high end components such as dedicated GPUs.
I love apple, I even got a brand new MacBook Pro for modeling and rendering for interior design thinking will be faster and efficient. Unfortunately I regret this decision as is very frustrating to work on this laptop, Sketchup is constantly crashing and I’m resetting the Mac 2/3 times a day. AutoCad also is not very responsive.
@@dagmarasz1 right now a MacBook Pro 2022 M2. I use Sketchup and Enscape and have to constantly reboot the computer. I haven’t try Vray yet on this computer but I used to on my previous MacBook Air and it was an impossible mission. I have used a Windows PC, I’m not sure the capacity of it (was during my course) and it works pretty well. I feel design software are definitely more efficient to Windows.
@@caryanina and what ram you have? I have windows 8gb ram 5 years old ald I has same problem. They recommend minimum 16gb ram and better 32gb for that programs. Maybe that is the problem?

Do vray skechup Works on Mac book pro m3 36 GB RAM? Donut works relatively fast or because it is Mac it will be slow ?

It is so good looking, so hard to not buy 😂
What MacBook Pro you have ? Did you try to use vray on skechup on Mac? Do it works slower than on windows laptop with similar Ram ?
