- I went to Glendale on Sunday to catch the action at hand. The first thing I caught was the LORAM rail grinding machine coming up Main 2. Talk about a fireworks show! I have to catch this thing at night someday.
After it passed, and a short wait later, they started running the trains at a quick till it got dark and I had to leave to go watch my son play a little basketball.
Thanks for watching!
Love the sound on steel wheels on freshly ground rail
Fire and smoke and fresh paint! Awesome video!
I`m glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you. An impressive mix of trains . Enjoyed watching the rail grinder in action. Nice seeing all these mixed freight trains too. Thank you
Thanks Alex! Yes, I love that rail grinder! I couldn`t believe how many mixed manifests came through either. I got more on Monday!
Seeing the rail grinder in action was awesome.👍👍!
I’m glad you enjoyed it, Joker! 😁
I had suspected for a while that the rail sound was because of the grinding. Thanks for bringing that up. And thanks for all the great videos.😊
You`re very welcome!
Good morning my friend, I hope you’re week is off to a good start. If you and the guys are heading out this week, please be safe and careful out there my friend. God bless🇺🇸🙏🏼
Thanks Bill! I think I am sticking around town this week. The weather is going to go South for a few days so I will just stay local and see what I can find here.
Thise shiny engines looked great Excellent video. Enjoyed it
Thanks Rick! I`m glad you liked it. I have been seeing a lot of those repainted locomotives lately!
Scott had a lucky day on the high Iron with all those mixed freight trains😊
I did have a good night at Glendale! Thanks Carlos!
@1960gambit you're welcome I have been watching the webcam there
Good made video, mr 1960gambit.
A great shot of the grinder train, whe see that never here in the Netherlands. Grinding the rails is always in the night. That is on the day not possible: whe have here the passenger trains. Every 10 minutes a train. Thx for this topvideo 🚆🚆🚆👌👍👍💪💪👍👌🚆🚆🚆in Glendale Ohio.
Greet from Zandvoort the Netherlands.
Thanks Roelof! I would love to catch the rail grinder running at night. The sparks would make quite a show!
Hi Scott, I always enjoy video's of Glendale, I saw the rail grinder on the VRF cam its always an impressive sight thats twice I've seen it in action now. My viewing & comments might be a bit later than usual My eldest Son Nathan back in hospital again I rushed him in early hours of this morning its quicker than waiting tor an ambulance, he's waiting for results of CT scan so I'm making trips to the city to visit. Cheers Scott, ❤🥰👍
I hate to hear that your son is ill again Carol! I hope it`s nothing too serious and he is back to his healthy self very soon! I was in Glendale on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. I`m sure I was seen on the camera a few times! Lol
Yes you were spotted Scott! Thank you for good wishes as of this morning still awaiting scan results he's not allowed food just dips of water & he's hungry! See what today brings & what the surgeons say, ❤
I`ll say a prayer for him!
When I opened RUclips Sun. morning and went to Glendale VR cam, I noticed the tracks were wet on NB T1 and I knew the Loram had been through .. I knew it was in the area from live chats the night before. Then I seen you and some fellow foamers in the crosswalk on camera, so I knew I'd eventually see the Loram in action. Good stuff as always, Gambit. Thanks.
Awesome channel great video keep them up make sure you like and subscribe thank you for your support
Thanks!
Scott, I really like the way those trains sound after they run that grinder over that track. I live about a mile away from the track and I love to hear a train come through at night specially a double stack because those tracks will be singing and you can hear it real good at night because everything‘s quite but anyway my friend another awesome video and as always you stay safe out there and watch your back and we’ll see you on the next one
Thanks Timmy. Yes, the freshly ground rails really do sing for a good long while till they get worn back in and flattened out on top again. I really can tell the difference now!
Great coverage on the rail grinder Scott. Another great video.
Glad you enjoyed it, Kent! 😁
Sparkin! I wonder how many trains it takes to get rid of the grinding marks....... Great evening action and love those night trains. Nice signal drop. Enjoyed this one a lot, thanks Scott!
Thanks Pat! It will be a good while before those marks are gone. I will make a video every couple of weeks, and you will be able to see how it progresses. Have a great day!
damn unusual night for the skunk road with 3 mixed they run majority unit pulls anymore!! and i think that's the most IM tanks you've caught yet!!
That was a lot of manifests for NS for sure. I was thinking the same thing about the IM tanks too. They just kept coming. Must be getting ready for the Super Bowl! Lol
@@1960gambit i don;t think those were booze haulers! no red label bands
Great video as usual Scott. Plenty of mixed manifest for you. Almost a night train and a second one! Love those. Thanks Scott and take care. ❤
I'm glad you enjoyed it, Margie and thanks for the kind words!
Good one Scott. Great trains and the Loram units are a nice bonus. I think that's the first time I have seen the short unit. Thanks again and stay safe.
Thanks Lou! That`s the second time I have caught both LORAM units. The short one did grind the crossing last year. Not sure why it didn`t this time around.
Great catches Scott! Cool catch on the rail grinder, and always like when you get a couple evening trains! Hope the basketball went well!
🚂🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃💯👍🇺🇸
Thanks Jim! Basketball was okay. They went 1 and 1. Lol
Last train was headed for a Super Bowl Kegger?
Could have been with all those alcoholic beverage tanks on it! Lol
Hi Scott Wonder how many times they grind the rail until they replace it.
I’m not sure but I’m guessing it depends on the wear and tear. They are only doing the top of the rail as best as I can tell. Thy probably aren`t taking off a whole lot, but those sparks make you think it`s a lot more for sure! Main 2 was replaced n 2022 in July. I filmed them unloading those rails.
Where's Timmy?
On a grain train somewhere! Lol
I would like to see that when I come down some time in two to three years from now,
AAR?
Association of American Railroads. They get together and agree on standards for anything from rail profile, brakes, couplers, etc.
In this case, inside joke, Articulated auto rack....LOL
@@JohnnyBravo-n9o Oops, my bad! BTW, my brother thinks they look like rolling turkey farm barns.
Okay. You can hear the difference. Why? Sounds exactly like a train going past to me. What’s the difference live and in person. I didn’t pay RUclips this month for the audio add on, but if I bundle with the nadshaking vibrant collator, I get both for 60% off individually purchased. I told them I’d let them know. If you’d let me in on the sensory perceptions I’ll save $8.99/m. I really don’t need anymore monthly fees. 💰 🟢
🟢 Ohhh Gambit you’re such a tease! I typed the reply, and as I posted you told us at 17:00! Saved me $8:99! You have a future in finance. Me? I need some schooling in patience. “All comes to those who wait.” 🟢🟡
