I thought that was an amazing comeback by Kelsey to be that far behind and it must have taken a lot of heart to catch up and win. Those that have never run or experienced the pain of running can make all the snide remarks they want...but they don't really know.

My daughter was a quarter mile specialist, but at the district meet they had her run a mile which I thought was ridiculous. She ran anyway and the leader who was expected to win fell back after one lap, and the leader continually fell back and my daughter actually won the mile sprinting the last one hundred yards at a pace that couldn't be touched. I was so glad, she was able to beat all of her competition!

At 13:15 she emerges top left of screen, gets a pat on the back from the photographer and returns her baton to the basket at 13:25, then turns around and walks back to the infield to be alone

Perhaps he did not want her having to chase somebody down from afar in this early season meet. like I say, 4:33 by season end so her season seemed to go ok. This was not exactly the Penn relays.

Coach wasn't really worried about winning this race...a first year coach know put your best on the anchor leg.

Hope the announcer wasn't getting paid. Not the worst but pretty close. Helps you admire those who know how to do it and make announcing look so easy.

Thanks to the announcer for adding zero value to this video. Do some research, learn some names, and facts. Add value.

is this high school kid recording it for school? Part of a broadcasting class possibly. The value was the experience for the kid. Who knew that kelsey would have a breakout day and the entire f*****g world would have a chance to critique his experience. Every broadcaster has to start somewhere. Turn the sound down and watch it again.

the 2nd place knew she did bad and let her team down. After she crossed the finish line she went the complete opposite direction, she went onto the grass instead of going to the team.

Start at 00:45, cross finish line 12:27...11:42 without using tenths to be accurate, but close to the 11:39 the pathetic announcer was repeating. If the leader had been a bit faster, the record could have fallen, because the chase girl, Chmiel, had it in her to run her down even 3 seconds faster.

      *DMR* stands for *Distance Medley Relay:* 1200m - 400m - 800m - 1600m > 10 laps total (distances in meters)
      _SMR_ stands for _Sprint Medley Relay:_ 100m - 100m - 200m - 400m > 2 laps total
_MMR_ stands for _Mile Medley Relay:_ 200m - 200m - 400m - 800m > 4 laps total [technically, the total distance is more than one mile, despite the name]
