They were shooting him
@@GalacticExplorer83I can't tell if that's even more badass
i play fallout 76 ... i farm the shit out of BOS....... they have the best armor...
Question is, did that RPD even get through?
@@NCC-2893 yes. Guns can hurt the joints or exposed joints
I love how the knights are the only one using the fallout four assault rifles (I think that’s what they are using) and the squires ain’t using them because of how hard and heavy it would be to carry such a weapon
Yeah, I think carrying them using a top-rail rather than like a standard rifle maked them look a lot less silly... Giving Aliens smartgun vibes.
My head canon is that the fo4 assault rifle is now using .50 bmg like it was intended to. You can even see .50 written on the assault rifle model in fo4. That would make the immense recoil that Thaddeus experiences while trying to use it more logical too.
Notice the scale of the rifle stock also. The few times you see one being carried by someone not in power armor, you can see you'd basically need your whole arm outstretched from your shoulder just to reach the handle. Fine if you're wearing power armor that makes your arms longer, but impossible without it. Its a category of rifle designed specifically for use with power armor.
@@curvingfyre6810 I think it’s more of a heavy machine gun now. It was supposed to be chambered in .50 when it was designed for fallout 4. Then they switched it to 5.56 for some reason. This is probably what the original mg would have been. You can also see Thaddeus struggling with the recoil even when it’s braced against something. That doesn’t happen with 5.56 or 7.62
You do see Thaddeus use one, but he has to mount it before he can fire it accurately and drops it in order to flee from the Gulper.
Shady Sands may have fallen, but the bear’s other head lives! The NCR’s gonna rip the Brotherhood’s steel shell off and consume what’s inside like they’re cracking into a can of Cram!
Titus getting knocked on his a** by a Yoaguai was foreshadowing. /j
"Until the NCR showed them ideological purity and shiny power armor don't count for much when your outnumbered 15 to 1" the show vastly understates the NCRs well supplied military let alone their militia populous

Shady Sands having "fallen" makes zero sense... The premise of this show is dumb
@@thejonathan130did you watch the show or didn’t pay attention. Everything was pretty straight forward. If it’s a timeline thing maxsion looks about early 20s and as a kid looks about around ten so the place was most likely destroyed around 85-87 as the show is in 96 and the time chart on board shows the nuke happening later hence the arrow pointing off to the right which in any timeline indicates after said date not on the same date otherwise I don’t get what could not make sense.
I love seeing the brother hood using power armour the same way you’d use a tank for cover
Fitting because they were invented to take the place of tanks as cover for infantry because tanks and alaska did not mix
Thank you Moldaver for the service rendered to the Republic NCR we continue to fight to rebuild the New California Republic NCR Forever

I love how this sequence highlighted how poor the T-45 and its upgraded cousin the T-60 are really bad at attacking entrenched positions and why the US army used T-51. The NCR inflicts massive casualties with what appears to be a civilian militia that is dug in and prepared with heavy weapons
They already had a flaw which was emps and plasma weapons. There is no reason PA made to rip apart tanks would have a flaw in the chest plate.
@@slideways_sideways1803 unless Wes-tek had rushed the T45 out to help stabilize the front in Alaska while they made the better made and more expensive t51
@@shadewolf0075 that I can see my issue is just that it should be a different flaw on the T-60 or they should just had the knights in T-45.
@@slideways_sideways1803 well T60 is basically a upgraded T45 suit also the flaw as just below the chest plate
@@slideways_sideways1803T60 was literally just an upgrade over the base model T45, T51 was expensive as shit and not every unit could be equipped

Seeing the group of troopers go after that brotherhood knight was brilliant, they ran straight up to a 7 foot tall walking tank and tried to pin it down while their squaddie filled his helmet seals with .45 cal rounds. That's the dedication that the NCR earns from its troopers. Remember HELIOS, remember Shady Sands, the Republic lives, the Republic returns!
The moment when they guys where running around each other looked like they all where having fun acting there wont lie
I cant wait for the rangers and the ncr armored troopers to come in for the 2nd season of this show
Yup. Rangers will always be the NCR's ace, once the riot gear boys show up all bets are off.
Anti-materiel rifles are gonna get a workout, just like HELIOS.
Anti-materiel rifles gonna shred those power armors of the BoS because if they were struggling this much against a bunch of wastelanders that just picked up the banners of the NCR what will they do against the armored NCR Rangers and troopers
I've never felt more validated blowing up the Hidden Bunker than after watching this scene.
I’d bet these aren’t all of the NCR, just the scattered remains of those left in shady sands. We’ll see more of them in new vegas

These BoS PoSs gonna get ghosted by the Rangers
That is, if they don't have it where House ending is canon. Which I bet they will, given he was in the board meeting scene.
Definitely
You can literally see that most of the NCR aren't even wearing proper uniforms, this looks like a hastily thrown together militia of untrained civilians. Explaining why they ran into machine gun fire instead of defending entrenched positions
Imagine trying to look tough as an unhinged military cult, and you're taking heavy casualties from a random assortment of battered and unorganized scavs and farmers even with a significant advantage with advanced technology, gear, and I'd say tactics but they basically just did a basic frontal assault with no support or flanking.
The bear has two heads and as they were so obsessed with killing one the other will rip them to shreds for their hubris in thinking this could end any other way
Here we see the entire population of the lost hill chapters engaging a minor outpost garrison of the ncr
Seriously like 1 bunker could take on a whole ass country, they simply don't have the manpower

The eastern brotherhood showed up to provide relief. That is probably where they got all the T60 suits from
@@shadewolf0075 That makes almost less sense. The level of logistics for that to happen given everything we've seen would be insane. And the Eastern brotherhood, even under the more orthodox command of Maxis, was still excommunicated close to 50 years ago at this point.

Yes the brotherhood got the Only GECK coldfusion core not destroyed by Vaultech, (season 2 leaks indicate that Vaultech Self destructed all the GECKs in 2277, That's why the NCR is so desperate during the Mojave campaign and Had an open war with the brotherhood for control of Helios 1, In a single day they lost like 90% of their fresh water and energy production Since most of their large cities Used GECKs)
But at the end of the day it's really questionable what they can do with it, Yes they have the energy production to power a large city now, but they only have one of them, and there are many branches to the brotherhood.

@@stormtempterf8058I would like a bit of colonel autumn.
He can be convinced to stand down peacefully and he will leave unharmed.
My guess is that there was a mutiny which explained why broken steel dlc happened.
But anyway colonel autumn was trying to turn his faction around and by comparison was basically enclave-lite by letting wastelanders into his planned communities to rebuild America.
What I would like to see is colonel autumn and a number of loyalists escape, break off and travel the wasteland looking for a home.
Think 40 years wondering the desert but not actually 40 years and on the way they receive charity, kindness, shelter from average people and this causes autumn and his loyalists to fully change for the better and they now have respect for what they had back at Raven rock.
So now they set off for another COG site with their friends, adopted family in tow and when they arrive at this enclave COG site they are going to fully take it over so those enclave members don’t waste what they have.
All I’m going to say is this BOS pledges were not ready for real combat the knights sure maybe some of them had seen some stuff but if the BOS didn’t send as many knights I’m thinking they would’ve got bodied harder than the enclave in DC
Honestly if this was a actually well organized brotherhood chapter those NCR remnants would have been getting shredded by paladins using mini guns and Gatling lasers
@@shadewolf0075 facts they wouldn’t stand a chance😂 it would have been reversed Helios one
@@shadewolf0075it’s the fact that no one uses laser weapons that is getting me. The whole schick of the Brotherhood is they are the best equipped in the area, the pledges should be all using laser rifles while the Knights would be using every heavy weapon to keep these effectively morally righteous raiders. Everything about this show makes everyone a blubbering idiot, not to mention they made ghouls into fucking zombies.
@@bombvoyage5686Yeah the show portrayed them more as raiders than NCR remnants.
this is probably how season 2 will open. this song playing as absolute carnage unfolds throughout the LA boneyard. as Lucy and The Ghoul sneak through to wherever they're trying to get to next
tbh I just need Fallout to use more early 70s songs! like 76 did!
60s, not 70s I think
Are there any actual NCR troopers in the fight scene?
Like service rifle wielding brown fatigues and bulletproof chest plate and all? It feels like they skimped out a bit for the NCR, hell, Moldovar or whatever her name is used raiders to break into the vault instead of an actual strike team.
The one of the main reasons the NCR was so powerful was because of the manpower, I guess that’s gone though😢 remember shady sands.
I think the NCR we see in the show is more like a splinter faction rather than the actual NCR. At least that’s what I hope
Vault city, New Reno LA outskirts, all were said to be NCR hubs, shady sands was simply one city. They definitely need to remedy how powerful their shown. The NCR had 1000s of soldiers at their disposal
Not to mention supply lines that manufactured the service rifles armor and all how you said
@@yeetandrepeat4251 the show is set around LA so the NCR has definitely abandoned Southern California
I have a head canon. What if the NCR we see in the show are just shady sands residents that stayed behind to mourn their lost home, while the majority of the NCR moved on from the nuking, they stayed. that could explain why they had so little manpower, and could explain why a lot of the fighters weren't wearing the trooper armor.
@@fricei2867 definetly looks more like a militia then the NCR we see in new vegas
For the NCR !!
My headcanon theory at the moment is that when Shady Sands got nuked, the NCR
Given the NCR and Brotherhood were already in a 20+ year war, seeing Shady Sands get suddenly nuked meant the latter were able to immediately capitalise on the disorganisation set into the NCR ranks. Combine that with the Brotherhood then getting a boon from their East Coast counterparts in the form of an airship & vertibirds (which if you believe FO2 they had the schematics to build / repair) and you have an NCR that has slowly been eaten away from within.
It's not a stretch to guess that while they aren't gone, places like the Hub, New Reno and Vault City are either going to be in bad shape or holed up given they've been on the bad end of a war for 10+ years. I suspect that Muldaver was forced to recruit mercenaries for her raid on Vault 31 which is why they act more like raiders than NCR troops. And the forces we see at the Boneyard are more like a guerilla force left in that area. So the NCR isn't gone, but they're currently on the backfoot after years of attrition and several crippling blows while their opponents have only got stronger.
With Vegas. I think either way the lack of NCR tourism will have hit the economy. Wouldn't be surprised if independent Vegas (whether that is under House or the Courier) ends up being the "canon" ending OR, alternatively, they leave it unclear but have House reappear in the form of aAI as contingency.
I think they did make a significant continuity snafu with Shady Sands looking as though it was meant to be in LA. This is something the writers can tidy up however in Season 2. Same for the timeline. Hopefully in S2 we see more of the NCR, as well as nods to other groups in the series like the Khans, Followers and Legion etc.

Love the brotherhood of steel. They go to war with zero tactics other than keep pushing forward no matter the cost..
You can definitely see some battle tactics by the unarmored troops using the power-armored soldiers at a riot shield of shorts which is fucking cool as hell but I assume why they kinda just rushed in there was because of how weak the NCR was and they thought it would have been wipe for the ncr which it was just the ghoul caused a few more casualties than expected
@@ElderMaxon147Reminds me of real world battle tactics in which soldiers trying to storm a heavily defended position would get behind tanks and use them for cover
@@TheSimGuy007 exactly except in this case you can bring the tank inside a building and not completely crush it

The Rangers of the NCR patrolled the Mojave solo. They can handle the brotherhood with ease. Just wait. Mr House and the NCR gonna rise together and Hank is gonna get involved with the enclave somehow, he did sound a lot like enclave in the final episode.

I would have much preferred to see the NCR not charge out of their defensive position into automatic gun fire. Also would have much preferred to see the Brotherhood using laser weaponry. would have show the difference between the two factions much better.
I love how incompetent the BoS looks in that scene, maximus handled his power armor better than the knights, like god damn it, BoS knights just run straight at the ennemy like a bunch of dumbasses, in melee, where uts easier to hit the power armor weak points, only actual threat should be heavy weapons and explosives. Power Armor needs to be handled the same as a tank, why do tanks really really hate urban environments ? Because their weak points are more easily hit and accesible.
Eitheir :
1 : The Brotherhood doesnt know how to use power armor and the knights are poorly trained
Or
2 : This is just to try and make it look like "See the NCR is actually pretty strong", no they arent. Without the writers making the knights a bunch of clowns the NCR militia would have been crushed.
the Ghoul does state that the brotherhood training isnt what it use to be, i think they are all about numbers now a growing their presence in the show or atleast thats how it comes off to me
I agree I can expect lightly armoured aspirants to get mown down attacking an entrenched posistiion but the brotherhood has air support why are they not doing gun runs? Those knights are meant to be trained they could of made a wall of power armour and slowly advanced while laying down suppressing fire, they have no need to charge on their own to get pulled down one by one.
If they wanted the NCR to look stronger they could of pulled out heavy weapons and be shown firing serious armour piercing guns to fell some knights.
@@thepurenewb1584 The Brotherhood in no way has the numbers to compete with the NCR at large, this was a splinter faction of the NCR, a militia they do not have the numbers to square up to the NCR and never have so they was always meant to fight smartly and a single knight was the match for a dozen of so NCR trained riflemen, this was just bad them getting pulled down by such a rag tag force.
