I think their model is kinda pretty, but yeah, really similar to the Marwaris. Watching this, I also thought of the Marwari horses, just because of the neck and really skinny head shape. I do understand that they're gaited horses, however like you said, I believe that the head and neck are so stiff to represent the short reins that saddleseat riders use on them, which is kind of disappointing in my opinion. I wanted to see these horses represented freely. It bugs me that their heads are so drawn in close to their chests. I would've loved to see their heads held higher and out more. It just makes the trot, canter, and gallop look odd. And I agree so much on the racking move too! When I first saw the spoiler, I was like, "Um, no thanks," lmao. Don't appreciate how lazy SSO was with that special gait and how they just float across the ground like that. Also, not really a fan of how their tails are so up and pointy. Makes the rear look weird too 😭
I adore saddlebreds in irl and theyre one of my fav breeds so this just became my new favorite horse in the game! my friend has 2 irl 😂💖 but you are so valid they are strange looking irl as well and not everyone's cup of tea for sure I wish we had updated dogs also 🥲
I had an internal warfare for me to buy between the silver buckskin or the rose grey dapple. This Saturday will allow me to buy the horse so I'm really excited ♡♥︎♡

I only liked that silver dun/buckskin and the dapple bay. The rose dapple/grey dapple doesn’t look right too me; The tail texture makes the fade look weird. My first pick was also the silver dun/buckskin and I’m considering getting the bay dapple as well.

American saddlebred horses are absolutely beautiful, I do think there are some inaccuracies in the game but I mean it is also a stylized game. Either way their natural gait is pretty cool, as long as it ain’t soring or big lick
i actually really like these horses, if you ignore the slow gallop. My gripe is that the player taking one hand off the reins makes the progression from halt to gallop like at the start of a race look really goofy. The player aswell just looks too big for the horse, and it makes the horse look like its been shrunk because the proportions would be correct if the horse was a bit larger. I think the old characters would have looked so good with the saddlebreds. I really like the horse but its the player character that lets it down imo.

I honestly need a refund for the saddlebred that I bought. I haven't felt like I made such a huge mistake like this in a long time. I think it's just their appearance that made me wanna buy them, but their gaits fr threw me off and I regretted buying one sec after :,) I'm definitely not a fan of these ones

Hey I have both, imo the american saddlebred is a bit more well finished especially if it's abt the gaits, both models are really pretty tho, for the coats the selle is more classic and the AS is more exotic so it's abt your personnal taste on that bcs in both cases they're really pretty, but yeah the AS would win for me bcs the animations are better

Its a buckskin (pretty sure) duns have dorsal stripes and the base of there tail is often the same color as their coat and fades into the darker color

I think they just need to loosen up the neck a bit and speed up the animation for the sliding gait

For me the animations are broken. It stays fast gallop on the speed rack and special animation.
