For the moment. This is engine # 3 in two years. I’m sure I’ll be rebuilding it for one reason or another again! If I was smart I’d put it back to stock but... where’s the fun in that?
So glad to see she's up and running again she sounds like she's a little bit be meaner than she was before as always another great video from Hamlin New York Love watching you bro keep it up..
i was lucky that i had this sled in my junior years i didnt just know that it was this powerfull because my speed handling in 10yrs old wasnt that good this video gave so much memories.
I’m trying to figure out how to twin pipe my 01 xc 800 non VES and still run pump gas. The pipes I have are for a VES liberty. The general consensus is don’t do it because she will blow. I’ve heard if you put reeds and octane boost plus the advanced time on the key I should be able to get away with just playing with pilot. Also iridium plugs are supposed to help. Love these old indys and your channel is only one that has anything on twins.
I strongly suggest not running twin pipes on a non ves 800 with the stock head. Those were some pretty high compression engines to begin with. Twin pipes though do not changing cranking compression, will usually increase running compression do to better scavenging, increasing the likely hood of detonation which is why pump gas is not recommended.
I just sold my 99 700 SKS. I never did like the choppy-ness of the engine at anything under 5k rpms's. it just bothered me. I know thats how they should run though
Now, if we were talking about 600’s… then yes, a 2000 would have been faster then a 98 600. However, 98’s and 00’ 700’s make the same power, and the skid setup on a 98 actually has less drag then the 2000. Either way, which ever would win a race would come down to setup & traction between the two.
Nice riding, nice sled. I have a few I'll have to post some videos,.. I mod sleds. I have a 1997 XLT 600, modded to a 144, a formula Z 670 modded to a 144, a 2008 M800 turbo (220hp @ 5psi), 2004 XC SP 700 Liberty, 1989 Enticer 340 (Just gonna send it) lol.. where you from? I'm in Timmins Ontario
That 650 they make now is a rocket. Has almost as much hp as my 800 liberty. And according to snowmobile tv. It pulls as hard as the new 850. And stays with insight of its snow flap at top end.
Love my Polaris 440 & 488. Never have I ever worried about my twins blowing up. Never met a triple I haven't heard of blowing up. Also RARELY a fanner have u heard of puking.
@@AKproXR I pmd your personal one anyway I thought you might appreciate the build of my 1998 RMK 700 non ves big block mod sled, good video man keep up the great work!
@AKproXR. My names Derek Jackson and I live in the upper Adirondacks of my and I have 2 98 xc 700s and my dad has one. My dads is super disgusting and will crack and hold skis off ground until you let off the throttle. I have two that are mine. All machines are identical. One ive had for two or three years and it needed some work to be rideable. I got it running and rideable but the only thing bothering me is my low end throttle response. My other machine I purchased three weeks ago and has amazing low end throttle response just like my dads. I wanna have them all up to spec running a1 steak sauce and I was wondering if you were willing to exchange numbers? Lmk as soon as possible. I think we would benefit from each other's knowledge! Lol. But I know I would benefit from yours. I'm 22 and love the wedge Indys. And what better than the 98 xc 700? They are nasty!!$
Best thing about used parts , no break in period
I don’t think there’s ever been a better looking sled than a wedge Indy.
Not many that's for sure
Agree
The artic cat from the 90s and the Polaris from the 90s are the coolest looking sleds ever
Yamaha srv 540 close second
i love my 700 so god damn much
Glad to see you got'r back up and ripping, sounds awesome and looks like she pulls! Makes me wanna resurrect and freshen up my 98 XC.
I used to have both 987s with 2 different version engines. Love the 220
Sounds sweet.nice budget build.cant c paying the price for newer sleds.old ones seem to be more fun anyways.
Damn back and better then ever. She's a ripper I'm happy for ya man.
Had the red white and blue Indy 400s in 1990. Man I miss that sled, she sure did rip.
Just got a dg can for my xlt and she sounds amazing
Ive seen you get knocked down a bunch & you keep getting back up. Nice work!
I live in NC now, I miss the north and snowmobiling, I now have a 96 Polaris Indy 600 up in NH
Beautiful day for a ride in the valley. Sleds looking real good again.
Way to go man. Sounds great 👍 she's a ripper!!!!
She's a keeper....good work..another sled saved...

Just for my first sled going and I’m pretty excited. Good job on yours
SHES FUCKIN SCREAMING BUDDY RUNNING GOOD MAN
Not really a Polaris guy, but I do enjoy your videos.

IF you happen to be in Alaska, I believe I still have a slp single setup laying around for a 00-01 800.
She Sounds great! Nothing better than fresh trails on an xc 7
New water pump coming for my 97 xc 600 triple and we will be rippin again

I just bought a 99 700 did you sell 2 sleds at the same time or just the 700
The 2000 XCSP700 was dramatically faster than this year but it's still a ripper!
No, no they are not 🤣

Every video you remind me of how much I want to get my old 488 wedge going
I wish Polaris would start making 700’s again.. I know their 600r’s they make are gnarly but still...
The make 650 now close enough lol
I wish they would have made a 700 rather then a new 650.
@@AKproXR 1000 times agreed I LOVE the 700s

Loosen the limiter strap.
How do u loosen limiter straps?
I was there when it blew up😂 I was on the blue and gray rmk 850
Nice
I wus wondering if you would know why my sled runs bogy In warm weather it’s probably the jets
Warmer the air, richer they run!
anyone notice at this time this vid has 666 views devil number :o
What belt do you use for the water pump an oil pump?
Stock.
I'm bringing my 2000 xc there let's go riding
did you loosen those limter straps because it seems to come up a bit
I did not. I do plan on shortening them more though. Can’t turn at all while on throttle
@@AKproXR oh okay like you want to cut them shorter then drill a new whole yo make a little loser
Last thing he needs is someone telling him how to setup and work on his sleds
Your happy no Ambers happy its hers 🤣🤣🤣

We should go ridin sometime, im over the inlet in peters creek. Hit me up if you wanna hit some deep ass powder
