- Welcome to a new series - as I take you to the Balkans for the first time, we begin in the Capital of Croatia - Zagreb. Here we uncover a gem of a staircase, but the lines, shapes and angles could go very wrong - unless we take our time. We need to focus too - this noisy location could be very off-putting.
I give you tips on photographing spaces like this - especially when you have little experience and knowledge of architecture. This is video 1 of 8 from Croatia - with more to follow from other parts of The Balkans in due course.

Wonderful location, lotsd for you to work with and when you had the person in the image they were just in the right place. Sure in the UK H&S would have demanded higher bannisters 🙂

Yeah a really mental one. I love this kind of space though, people just walk past all the time - I think these urban ones are fast becoming my fav. Some bangers in Croatia too. Next week - Black & white!
Nice staircase now watching someone come along and paint it and spoil the look..
Yellow is a colour that always looks good - yet so many people are so scared to paint using it in interiors, I remember when I did kitchen shoots - so much grey, white - life is going to be so dull in the future. I believe this one is getting a total redesign - tbh, it was pretty worn out. Love these spaces though!
Lovely video as per James. Quick question, what bag do you use to cover your head? I’ve been looking for one for mine but can’t find one that fits.
Ohh it came with the Sunwayfoto gh pro ii - but I wouldn't recommend that head!
