    You probably know also Joe anyone close to LA on the way up to Castaic there’s a bait barge at Marina Del Rey Sportfishing my Cambodian buddy told me about that spot you can grab live Sardines from them they charge by the scoop I’ve got 2-3 scoops for my buddy $40 gave me a lot there is no price chart or anything they just kind of eyeball it but just a FYI heads up if anyone else watches your video and ever needs them 🤙🏼

      Yep! That's the best way and how most of the real sardine fishermen get their sardines! For me, its kinda outa my way but thats the best option right there to getting fresh sardines.

      Yeah basically every harbor does that! They do that at Channel Islands harbor and Ventura Harbor as well! 20$ a scoop there and you get tons.

    Used to bait&wait for them at Necktie Canyon several years ago. Haven't been back at the lake since. Thank you for the video with cool underwater clips of the juvenile stripers.

    What rod holder mount and rod holder do you have there? Looks like it would work great on my boat.

      @@JoeShowFishing Thanks for the link! I was actually talking about the rod holders that are on the sides of the boat for trolling. The mount particularly is what interests me. I have a 14ft aluminum boat but there is a lip right where yours are mounted at the top and it makes it difficult. Your look like they could bypass that issue by going over the lip. I fish Castaic too by the way on my boat or my friend's boat. Got a ton of bass out of there yesterday with him. 34 all in. CNR.

      @@JoeShowFishing Yeah, I just watched your video on your latest Lund boat and realized it was on a track system. I'm own a boat like the ones they rent at Castaic so no such luxury haha. I"ll keep looking. Thanks!!

    Joe, I was thinking of buying fresh sardines. But It sounds like freezing them defeats the purpose, BTW I've been shorefishing at castaic the past two days with ZERO bites. Seems like no fish right now.

    • @JoeShowFishing
      @JoeShowFishing  Год назад +1

      you can freeze them thats ok. And yes its been tough recently from shore.

    What is the rod holder you have on the boat?

    • @JoeShowFishing
      @JoeShowFishing  2 года назад

      They are called rod retainers. You can find them googling the probably. I stacked 2 of them onto one seat pedestal.

    why do you use such light line? Aren't you sacrificing Landing a nice size fish? If you're trying to be invisible you can use heavy or fluorocarbon. Seems like West Coast people are convinced to use light setup I'm from the East Coast we use 40 lb braid 50 lb mono live lining eels cut bait you name it and have no problems catching striped bass in Clearwater Clearwater
