i know it seemed like that in the show , but all it’s fake they didn’t really say that they said that for the show ( they go once for the competition, and that’s when the judges actually judge ) then they go another time for the show and they take the judges results from the actaully competition and put it in that
even if i like Maddie's version better i had to say that Kendall did really good and strong performance

Kendall was an amazing lyrical dancer. If Abby would have gave her more solos like this, she would have won a lot more! This type of dancing is her strengths! This is my favorite solo of hers!
Onyx Campbell this is definitely her specialty though. She could’ve excelled in lyrical if Abby had given her more opportunities, instead of covering up Kendall’s horrible technique with a style that does absolutely nothing to help her.

I agree, Maddie did the solo better. But did Kendall still do amazing? Yes! She was fabulous. What Cathy said in the audience was horrendous, why would you talk about another studios kid while she’s dancing?

Rachel S I really disagree. She just so unbelievably average...she doesn’t emote, her transitions are awkward, she looks down at the floor while she’s dancing. And above all she has zero passion and intention behind her movements. She is fine in a group dance but a solo...🤷🏼♀️

Kendall’s peak truly was seasons 4 & 5, although I personally prefer maddie’s version, this is still a very strong and solid performance.
Maddie’s version is actually my favorite solo ever on dance moms. but Kendall’s was still amazing, probably one of her best solos. the technique is good and the facials are decent too.

This was awful for anyone involved. It was awful for Kendall because she was considered a "knock off of Maddie" (I believe she deserves her own dance, not a dance another friend of hers did) Its not fair for Maddie because she felt like an arrogant POS (which she wasn't). Its not fair of Abby to give a child a solo another has done and goad her for not "being like Maddie". It was awful for Jill because she felt her child was a "knock off". It was awful of Cathy to talk so horribly about a child who was her previous student. This was a awful thing to do to Kendall. Kendall and Maddie were the victims.
Jessica Ryan I love them both and think they are both amazing little girls. But Maddie made it more emotional and entertaining for me. But Kendall killed it. It’s just an opinion that I wouldn’t give in the audience or even really unless we are discussing. Cathy and that other mom were horrible.

Although Maddie may get more glory for her emotions, but everyone is different in their styles and I personally like how Kendall turns more than Maddie. No hate tho I love them all:)

Well,talking technically Maddie has by far better turns,her technique it’s a lot more clean and she doesn’t drives as much as Kendall does sometimes,but if you like them it’s ok

Mary •-• Technique wise, Kendall has better turns. Maddie falls out of her turns more than not, and travels quite a lot. Maddie’s turns may look “prettier” but from a dancer’s point of view, her turns aren’t great at all and are executed quite poorly. Don’t forget Maddie’s half releve.

You can see that Kendall actually enjoyed dancing this. That is what matters. Competition and ranks come in second. It's the passion that keeps kids dancing.

season 4 was definitely Kendall’s best season. her dancing was at its peak.
What makes maddie a better dancer in my opinion is the emotion she puts in her dances.
For example, watching Maddie's dance I could feel it and see the emotion in her face while in Kendall's you can't really see anything. It's just a pretty smiley face throughout the dance.
By far my favorite Kendall solo; I do slightly prefer Maddie's version because she has more emotion but they both did amazing. Kendall honestly is a great turner.

I think both girls did really well with this solo I prefer Maddie’s Version but it doesn’t mean Kendall’s is bad hers is real good she’s used her face and her technique was great and I don’t want to see a comment saying Kendall version sucks and is the worst dance on the show and stuff like that ( I’m over exaggerating but you get my point)

This just shows how much Kendall has advanced! From barely being able to do a tilt at the start of season 2 and then being able to pull this off pretty cleanly!
Kendall’s technique, jumps and fluidity in this dance was totally up to maddies level. It was beautiful seeing her perform that gracefully. BUT the problem is her facial expression. She worries so much about making her technique beautiful that she forgets about using her face at all. Had she used her face, she would’ve made this solo as good as maddies if not better. Her dancing was one of the best I’ve seen her do through all the seasons. She definitely improved the most this season. I wish abby gave her more lyrical solos. It would teach her to emote using her face. Unlike in jazz where it’s usually just fun expressions.

This is actually one of my favorites solo’s from her along side many, i just felt like it was a change of pace from the cheesy jazz that abby always gave her. And you can tell that she really enjoyed this solo.

I know my opinion doesn’t matter 10 years after the real life events of this dance but here’s it anyway. Even though I agree that Maddie executed the skills in the dance overall better, I like this solo better for Kendall. I feel like Kendall has really good pacing with the music, and it seems to me that (as a common occurrence with many of Maddie’s solos) she goes so fast and doesn’t finish the movement all the way through. Also I really like how Kendall’s side aerial is very controlled and not as “whippy” as Maddie’s is in this dance. Anyways, both did a great job and “my little Kendall” deserves better! 💛

I never used to like kendall because of her most season 7 solos, but now when i have watched more of her dancing in seasons 4-5, she is really good!

No kendall did fabulous and amazing but I prefer Maddie’s solo better and I am a dancer so I know better. But for Kendall she did absolutely amazing.

Was Maddie’s version slightly better? Yes but kendall was outstanding and managed to hold her ground compared to maddie, she did sooo well!
If Abby was going to constantly compare Kendall to Maddie, then why would they give Kendall a solo that was made for Maddie’s growths? Give both of them what they are great at.

kendall did AMAZING and it was very close to Maddie in performance value and skill but Maddie’s technique on small parts was better. like when kendall steps up from the ground into prep, she stomps with a flexed foot and maddie doesnt do that. that was just what caught my eye while watching kendall
