They are interesting watches and the fact that it's something made or designed in the former Soviet Union also makes it interesting! They definitely are a curiosity, not something you see every time you visit the malls or department stores!!
Nice watch mate. I own 6 Vostoks- 1 Komandirskie, 4 Amphibia and 1 Neptune. I will not mod the Neptune but all others are modded completely, even the hands. Vostok watches are good and look awesome.

Just to clarify some things: Price is even cheaper, usually it's around 60 bucks for people abroad (maybe it went down in recent years idk). Russian shipping is very slow in general, they use cheaper system similar to hitch hiking a car, so it's cheaper but takes longer. Anything less than a month i would consider a good luck, especially shipping to NA. Meranom is a partner of vostok i think, they don't do manufacturing, only extra quality control and they produce special editions and custom stuff you can order from them. You can hack the watch, but it's not an intended feature. You have to push on the crown just a little bit down i think in its engaged position and try to wind the time back just so you feel tension that way seconds hand stops moving. You could get original mesh bracelet on meranom with vostok branding for cheap if you really want to. Anyway, thanks for sharing and for a great review! Greets from Russia btw =)

Russia > Norway is ~4 days every time. (About 30 times, so the hitch hiking must be stable and effective.) That's a beauty alright! The bezel and the bracelet are really nice! When I ordered from Meranom it did take 3 weeks for my fist watch but it was faster for my second one, not sure why! I'm in Michigan too! Good video!

I own the blue scuba dude , great watch. I paired it with black SKX007 bezel. Then I went and sanded off the original bezel that came with it and it showed very cool bronze colour and put it back on the watch and swapped the band with dark brown leather and it looked fantastic very cool contrast between the copper bezel and the case

I have two Amphibias. With its history, reliability, looks, and the 10 year service interval, why go with anything else? Amazon has a pretty good selection........paired with a nice sharktooth bracelet, it is a great watch.
Just a correction, Meranom is not the manufacturer, it’s just an AD based in the same city - Chistopol - and obviously is highly specialised in Vostoks.

Hello everyone. The bezel is functional. It is easy to put in place using two fingers with one push with the other pull. The same method used with the unidirectional bezel with click. Do not tray to move the bezel with one finger. If you tray to move it with the finger that you pull it will not move.
Vostok certify 200m but in reality is anything up to 800m as they tested several standard Amphibia's during a simulated submarine rescue and all went to 800m before springing a leak but these were brand new, new gaskets and stuff sort of thing, a used for some time Amphibia would prob not go that deep but replacing stem gasket and fitting new crystal is such a doddle then you know you can go deeper than 200m if need be.
I love my Scuba Dude, don’t mind the crown, the acrilic, the lume, it’s the history that made me purchase the Scuba and a Komandirskie with the tank logo, to my surprise it keeps time pretty good, will be ordering another one!
I dunno why but I am not a fan of the Scuba Dude dial, I think any Russian watch collector should have a tank commander in their set hehe I got an early CCCP black one and a much later gilded golden generalskie one oh and the silly Eaglemoss one which is oversize and just very sad lol
I got a Vostock branded shark mesh with my watch.They're great quality and much cheaper than yours tbh.P.s I also got a blue wave dial and an insane looking batman shark tooth bezel that looks like a buzz saw.
If you tray to move the bezel with only the finger that you use to pull is very difficult that it move. At least that the bezel has few spring tension. If it is the case you can add more tension to your spring. You can find some video about do this.

My eyesight is not good as was before. If I want to know my month day I use my cellphone. For that reason I change my dial in my Vostok Komandirskie. It was not difficult to change this, I solve this problem easy.
I have the 710 case scuba dude with no date the funny thing is I haven’t found one in RUclips that the scuba dude is in the same spot as mine! All the amphibians the scuba dude head is under the 12 o’clock position my scuba dudes head is under the 10:00 position not saying mines rare or special or anything I just haven’t seen any like mine!

Also, you can actually fiddle with the crown to actually hack the seconds, it just takes a bit of practice.

I recommend put the bezel at 12 and use the watch for one week, and you will notice the your bezel did not move. Simple and functional that is all.

I just screw it until it's tight, but not extremely tight if that makes sense.

Bazel it make that way because , when You dive under pressure it so hard turn bazel on other watch but not on vostok
