This game directed by Ryosuke Yoshida who did the combat and enemy design (including bosses) is the senior game designer on this game so you know its gonna be ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
From what I've played of this game this is really feeling like my comfort food type of game. Just turn my brain down for a while and run to various icons on the map and eventually run to the main quest icon once I feel like progressing the story. I'm fine with the side quests being simplistic and samey in this game. Though the having to back track to the quest giver is a baffling design choice in this day and age. The game definitely loses at least a significant fraction of a point for that. Of all new games that released this month that I bought this is the purchase I'm most happy with.
As you asked i played the secret of mana on SNES and the seiken detsu 3 unoffical on SNES as well as their remakes in the last years. So i'm pretty excited to get my hands on it
@@xDevilNeverCry You can play Secret of Mana and its sequel on Switch, Secret of Evermore was on the Super Nintendo, I don’t know if it’s available on the Nintendo eshop.
Your party members will stop moving sometimes. In the middle of a boss match just standing there...... watching😮!? The CPU sometimes will literally just stop??? Wtf
Heyho! Say, since it's a PS5 Review... can you tell me if the Deadzone is fixed? Many people (me included) have had a problem with running diagonal, since the char walked slowly instead. I really wanna get this game, but only if the game doesn't feel like the controller is broken. ^^ EDIT: The problem was in the demo, I might add. But since Sony won't issue refunds, I don't wanna jump the gun in the hopes it's fixed for the full release.
just because it makes it different than the 1.000 of souls game out of there doesnt mean its worse.. the Mana series was always feeling more arcade style.
@@Coldsilfur4 honestly most souls games feel light in combat too. There’s a huge difference in the feel of the combat when you play games like dmcv, god war and nier compared to games like visions of mana. It doesn’t mean it’s bad I would just prefer the more impact and heavy side of gameplay.
@@scarvellopersonally i never understand people who want games to feel all the same. always heavy combat.. always openworld.. i thing its refreshing that games feel different.
@@Coldsilfur4 that’s just the thing though I don’t want them all to feel the same it’s just a preference of mine that’s all. I’ve played games that started off feeling light and as the character leveled up they accessed moves that shook the screen and rumbled the controller.
Everything about seems great from a person that likes action/jrpg games like FF, DMC, sekiro, Stellar Blade. I think the artstyle looks beautiful and it makes we want to jump in. I get laughed by my friends cause I want to, maybe its because of the artstyle?😅
It’s much close to say ff7 remake and rebirth, rather than say DMC or stellar blade. It’s more rpg than hack and slash. However I do still believe it’s worth a play if you a big DMC fan. Funny enough it plays almost exactly like GranBlue that came out earlier this year
Played the demo and was pretty much nope. Overcomplicated battle system for no reason, it feels nothing at all like previous mana games....they are going the Final Fantasy route at this point.

seems like something I can wait to play until it’s discounted
The katana fighting style alone has motivated me to pick up this game.
the cloister of trials theme instantly triggered my PTSD from ff10
vergil moveset is pretty cool to put into this game
Now that Nintendo owns the patent on riding a creature, I wonder if they will retroactively sue Visions of Mana's publisher.
😂😂😂😂😂 lol patent on riding a creature. Hahahaha you gotta get out more, man.
I was little oddly weird out by the Final Fantasy 8 music in the background there
Great ears 👀
finally someone who knows the song
If I know right that's his favourite one so a little hint

Do you fall into battle automatically like final fantasy?
I'm getting dark cloud 2 visual vibes lol
@@michaelhowell2809 The original Dark Cloud is one of my favourites, never finished 2 unfortunately
Awesome work as always man 👍
Definitely would main the guy with the katana if i were to pick this game up 😂.
Had to be done
What elemental transformation is that for Morley w the katana and samurai outfit
You have to change him to that style. All characters can have their “classes” fighting styles changed
@@Ragnarakk187 Wood element I believe, though he has a katana as standard
A New Trials of Mana game??
Trials of mana has a no future mode which is very dmd difficulty. I wonder if this one has that.
LOVE the FFVIII garden music!
Cant go wrong with Balamb Garden!
@@xDevilNeverCry yea don't think I've ever seen a video use it, the ost is very underrated I think, was great to play it again with the remaster
Only played Secret of Mana (never completed it though) and the very underrated Secret of Evermore. Great review 👍.
I'll definitely be checking out others in the series off the back of how much I enjoyed Visions

Game looks so fun
How does the combat stack up against ff7 rebirth?
A lot simpler imo, not as much to juggle
@@xDevilNeverCry Awesome thanks for the reply🙏🏾 I do like my combat systems complex.
They are both trash. Two series ruined completely. At least Dragon Quest stuck to what made the series iconic.
Ff7 rebirth was complex ?
@@omensoffate on hard difficulty after beating the game you can’t button mash anymore. It gets complex.
The game is good. But technically speaking, performance wise, it's not great.
Square closed the studio one day after release. But why?
Wasn't square decision. Net ease owned the studio that developed visions.

When tilting the stick diagonally your character runs normally. I didnt play the demo so i dont have an accurate point of reference
Of course lip synching isnt gonna match if they dubbed the game in Japanese first 😂
Good Job Brotha 🍊
What is val ??? boy/girl
I can't wait for the" Dishonest review" now ! 😂 I played and I have " secret of Mana" on Super NES
Try gamestop review for it😂
