  • Here I list off of most of the modifications I have done to my WR. I bought the bike with a few modifications, and did a few myself. Drop a comment if you have any questions, thanks.

Excelentes cambios, cuando uno sabe para que necesita una moto, esta tiene que ser adaptada a lo que se necesita, felicidades y que la disfrutes mucho.

Nice walk through. Are those the Powermadd Sentinal mirrors on your Tusk handguards? Been wanting to do something similar.

These aren't power mods, just a cheep online set.

Nice build my guy, thanks for posting. Ever try any longer distance trips on it, or does it not hold up too well at highway speeds?

Thanks! I haven’t done any longer trips with it yet (still getting the quirks worked out) so I can’t say. Hopefully come spring that’ll change!

Nice video and nice bike. I really wanted a new WR but for some reason Yamaha is ignoring this segment of the market. I bought a 23 Honda CRF 300 and after 3000kms of use I am selling it. Overweight, underpowered and horrible suspension.

I'm considering getting one, but do you think the engine vibrations would be hard on your hands during a 4h+ ride?

    • @Skoshy5115

I don’t find the engine vibrations to be much of an issue on longer rides. True knobby 90/10 dual sport tires annoy me with noise and vibration before the bike does.
The smooth and linear power delivery of this little motor is nicer that a Mx bike, but you pay for that in overall power and increased weight of the bike.

how do you like the Rekluse? i am putting the Radius X in my 2000 RM250 to mitigate stalls

I like it a lot. I still use the clutch lever while taking coasting to a stop to downshift, shifting up through the gears, and when taking off from stopped (with the clutch adjusted properly there will be a little creep forward in gear). One of the best features of an auto clutch is loading and unloading the bike on a trailer. Feathering the clutch and stalling the bike on the ramps sucks, which is totally eliminated with this setup.

What tail-tidy kit are you using? And which front blinkers? -- Is that a Parabellum smoked windscreen? Considering one, whats your opinion? Don't want it to get damaged, or in the way on technical trail riding, but would welcome some protection for the highway.

Not sure on the tidy tail, or front blinkers (done before I got the bike). I can say I have been very happy with the smoked parabellum windshield. It’s far enough forward and low enough that I don’t notice it when doing technical type stuff. It will not keep wind off my helmet, but will keep it off my chest which is primarily why I bought it (I’m 6’ fyi)
I think it makes Highway riding much more enjoyable for me.

Can you tell me where you got those black frame covers?

Not sure if they are still available but I bought them on eBay.

So this is a street bike? Not a dirt bike?

    • @Skoshy5115

It’s a bike they call a dual sport. Dual as in on road and off road.
