    very good first impression!!! i was first onboard in 03 when the wrf 450 came out,(and what a beast at the time!!)went to a wrf250 in 07(loved that one!!),got tired of waiting for the new model in 13,went euro and loving it ,several bikes later.... just an older average punter who has to pay for a ride...have a 300cc 2t for in the bush....have a 500 4t for adventure riding (nz). slapping a 17ltr tank and having a 6 speed makes running a harder edged enduro bike so much more doable for me,(still get all goey over my xr600rs back in the day...)

      I have 23, 24 has mods I would love to have, but I like mine. Keep in mind you really have to do all mods, here in the US the stock setup is an utter disappointment. Remove throttle, exhaust, and air box restrictions, upgrade to comp ECU and CCU and add map switch. So plan on spending about a thousand bucks extra to open it up, but it's easier to do that than mod a yz for forest service, headlight,b softer suspension etc, which you already have with WR.

    I’ve got the 2023 Wr 250f last summer 11:12 that exhaust has got a gytr race baffle that opens the thing up big time how ever I couldn’t find one so I made one . The 250 has got 6 gears sure you need use a lot more throttle but I think it sounds awesome with the racing baffle in the exhaust being able to switch maps on the fly is awesome I’ve got to learn how to use it . It’s not hard but it dose take a little while to find the settings you want

      The new YZ450’s have a hydraulic clutch option, it might work with the WR450F being they’re almost the same platform.

    These bikes are having airbox sealing problems and the belleville in the clutch is too weak, Yamaha need to address and recall these issues before people go and pay 18k for them.
    The airbox and clutch belleville share the exact one with the YZ 450 23-24 research these issues.

    No doubt any of the 450's will work well at speed, the question is will they cross over enough into the 300 2t to make them an all day tight 1st and 2nd and sometimes 3rd gear trail machine? Throw in the Sherco 300 with its revisions too please.

    Fuel tank is far too small for an enduro bike, still no hyd clutch, open end hand guards, i can see $2k I'd need to spend straight up getting this bike set up for a serious day riding. I was really hoping to stick with yamaha but there are much better options coming out of Europe.

      @@jordanlee2645 Could you elaborate on the differences/advantages/drawbacks of both? I am thinking seriously the new WR450F but I tried an RR480 2024 few days ago and I was impressed by the whole bike, especially how gentle and easy the engine is and also overall the rideability and just good amount of engine braking but not too much of it. For single track mainly. I have had 2 strokes for ever (except a good year with the Beta RR350 2015). I know lots can be done with app on the WR, but ...

    • @jordanlee2645
      @jordanlee2645 3 месяца назад +1

      @LeonidasYZ250 the 450 is definitely going to be a lot more tame than the 500rr. It's a good bike, but you have to spend extra money to get it close to the RR. The RR is far more capable as it is stock.
