The new format reminds me of a blend of a lot of MatrixPrime's videos. Hasbro really half-assed Shatter like Universe Galvatron. I'm not getting Shatter at all.
We need a Voyager shatter and dropkick with proper tripal changing and a new bumblebee mold that they can remold into all the different bumblebees from tge movie and somehow make them scale with studio series 38 A true herculean task
Sure, the arms and wheel well panels can be annoying, but with a little patience and a bit of modding, it can be a decent figure. Also, while I won’t be doing it, is anyone else looking forward to Studio Series Devastator?
Format, good. I kinda like it. Seeing more of your reactions and your views and expressions on the figures at the front of camera, looks way cool. Keep it going, Balt. I'm with the new look.
Yo, Balt. I really like this new format you are trying. Very creative. Been watching your reviews for years now and I love that you try new things with your channel.
I personally don't have the problem with the side panels falling off on mine, and the arm ball joints need some light force. I really enjoy my Shatter and she works for me
Shatter clearly suffers from ‘first figure syndrome’. I can see why you called shatter the “first good female transformer” in the movies...because the Arcee triplets didn’t really get characters. I do hope SS makes a decent 3-pack of those gals though, I loved their designs and they were a lot of fun to watch in the RotF.
I fixed the panels from the back taking the nails out and using small screws. Don't pop out any more, but the arms are another story. Not Enough plastic to keep them on.
I noticed the new format immediately. I think it’s cool. I like the change. Let’s see more. Especially reviews for transformers you ACTUALLY like lol. 🙌🏼 You’re one of my favorite reviewers so thank you and keep up the good work
Sooo...is SS40 Shatter (car mode) as hammer-worthy as SS01 "2007" Bumblebee was? I'm impressed that you didn't do it. Also, car mode Dropkick (SS46) is supposedly coming soon, and maybe a jet mode Shatter. Honestly? These two - Shatter & Dropkick - are peeps that the design & engineering teams at Hasbro & Takara should've said "to hell with scale", and made them Voyager class & proper triple changers. But given that they couldn't even pull that off with AoE Drift (nice new tiny Deluxe mold for the car mode, but a retool of DotM Voyager Skyhammer for chopper mode), maybe they haven't evolved their brains to that point yet. A shame, actually...
I like cars and I like Transformers figures. The transformation is pretty straightforward, BUT the extreme tendency for parts to fall off is beyond tolerable. I really wish Hasbro would bring back the Human Alliance scale for their car-formers.
As for constructive criticism, the top thing I want to see in a review is the transformation. Sot only can I see for myself if it looks fun, but you can glean a lot about the toy through seeing how easy the hinges and tabs work, what the plastic sounds like, and, yes, if anything falls off during. So, I don't mind the format change, but deffo show the full transformation, warts and all.
I like shatter a lot more than most people do. i understand the gripe about the head sculpt, but it's supposed to be a battle mask of sorts. yea it could've used at least a line of a different color for the eyes, but i'm alright with it. If there is one bumblebee movie figure that is worth picking up, it has to be the optimus prime figure. Every bit of the figure is covered from head to foot with G1 detail with a mix of the live action aesthetic, and it works wonderfully well for it.
Not objecting to the new format. Too many toy reviewers refrain from being on camera. My thoughts: Ideas for the Greenscreen: A montage of still images of the character being reviewed from different sources. If they were from G1 then some shots of the cartoon, If they're form the movies then some stills from that. Etc. If not that then some sort of TF centric background (or related to the brand you're reviewing) like the old G1 grid layout, or a Teletran-1 background. Presentation: How about some split screen stuff. Like one half is showing you going through the transformation and talking about the figure, while on the other side we have the traditional POV close up shot of the transformation.
I'm just feeling let down because I allowed myself to be hyped about getting a muscle-carformer that initially looked cool but withered under the lights (By which I mean her bits falling off at the slightest provocation) maybe if I see her on clearance...
The new format just feels a tiny bit too static. I would just like to request putting static images in front of animated backgrounds. Perhaps an image floating and panning in front of some adobe stock animation. Hehe! Maybe you should also have a Balt-Buster Chamber for figures that lapse too much in quality, where they get shredded or something of the like. Just stay safe! (I still love your Interchange Review. “But, I do have an axe...”)
Ok, I don't mean to sound rude, but this looks more like something you buy at a Dollar Genaro story. By the way, nice Green Eggs and Ham reference you made at 4:09, that made me laugh! :)
new format is great man :D it's a shame that Shatter result in some kind of puzzle for a toy but anyway, it's good to see your face again. thumbs up from Chile
I like the new format. But, shatter is so damn disappointing. I've been waiting for this figure ever since it was announced. And when I took the chance and got it, the arms immediately fell off with just a little movement. And I tried to transform it, but got frustrated and just gave up. Pieces would not stop falling off. That sucks because shatter was easily one of my favorite movie decepticons. But are we ever gonna get good figures for her and dropkick?
I've been hearing all over that Studio Series Shatter is bad. It's a real shame. She's easily my favourite Decepticon in the movieverse, and even one of my favourites overall. Hopefully they'll make a good jet figure for her, or a third party will release an upgrade kit that fixes the issues or just makes an all new figure or something.
The thing about shatter that sucks the most is that this is the only figure we have of such a good character. Also balt the new format requires you to be better at editing.. theres a bunch of times you have awkward cuts audio is desynced and all. I do applaud your willingness to change things up but try to do as you can afford to.
Thank you for this review. Made me feel much better.I know I'm late but ive been going through the back catalogue. I bought this for my son when he was 4 and boy did i despise this figure finally gave up and returned the sucker for an age appropriate megaton.
I like the the new format. It's good to change things up once in a while. And as long as you're enjoying it, then you just keep doing what makes you happy.
Cool format. U were way more calmer than i thought u'd be while reviewing this. Sad that she is one of the better characters. Maybe they'll make a small voyager ko.
I like that shatter, she's not a bad figure in my opinion. I'm just waiting for a jet version cuz that might be more accurate. Btw I love the new format, it's a great style, and I've also been wondering what you really look like hahahahahaha. But yeah, the new format is cool, keep it up!!
Hmm, I think the new format has potential - but a few 'kinks' need to be worked in the editing and transitions. The demonstration of the robot build quality issues and particularly the transformation were not, in my opinion, as smooth or detailed as normal - but that may have been due to the figure and your obvious frustration. But a content maker stepping in front of the camera after such a long time is always to be encouraged.
I love this new style. its a good review and reminds me of those rare times when we see his opening reactions to a bad figure or a story behind the figure.
I gotta admit, I don't really like the ss dropkick either. But the car version of him coming out looks much better, maybe they'll make a better ss shatter that turns into the jet.
Please stick to a format. You keep changing naming on your videos, you keep changing how you film your stuff, you keep changing intros. Find something you like, keep doing it. After seeing reviews, my second gripe was those weak arms and shoulder panels popping off, it's RID Sideswipe all over again. I like the new format but a little to close up for my taste. If you could also zoom out for the transformation and go a little slower, I think it would be perfect. BTW I love your reviews😃
This is one of my frustrations it was with bumblebee and most of the deluxe figures to be fair and thats screen accuracy why in the name of Zeus ass are the door flaps on shatter by her sides when they are clearly over by her shoulders? The leaders and Voyagers in this line are flawless but the deluxes are all sorts of trash sometimes.
I really like this format! I do think the production quality could use some work here on the parts showing your face but i think this could be a good new format, but if you're going to talk about transformation back you might aswell show that
I was able to tolerate PotP Jazz's legs falling off. And I was waiting for Shatter ever since she was announced. So considering both of those, I can definitely look past her flaws and she has a welcome place on my shelf. As for Rampage and Prime? I'm sure they're great. But they're not Shatter.

Hasbro needs to stop with these crap studio series and one step changers. They need to go back to the great Transformers like Power of the Primes, War for Cybertron, or even Revenge of the Fallen Prime.
The new format reminds me of a blend of a lot of MatrixPrime's videos. Hasbro really half-assed Shatter like Universe Galvatron. I'm not getting Shatter at all.
I'll be honest, I got this figure and immediately returned it the next day and got Sideswipe instead
I wondered where Jobbys green screen ran off too...
Who is that give me a link plz
Just wait till it's the Studio-er Series version that's actually a triple changer.
Really? that is happening? a full on 3ple changer figure? please, you better be saying the truth.
@@Randomguy-hf8ht It was a joke, but I don't think it's impossible.
@@gavinerickson9392 Of course it's possible, if Shatter were a voyager.
Apparently toy world or zeta are making a triple changing shatter and dropkick

We need a Voyager shatter and dropkick with proper tripal changing and a new bumblebee mold that they can remold into all the different bumblebees from tge movie and somehow make them scale with studio series 38

She’s not bad, but she’s not great either. My biggest issue with her is her inaccurate head
Otherwise I think she’s a decent deluxe
The head is technically accurate, she had it in the cybertron scene.

If you be gentle in the transformation progress, things will not pop off. You just have to be gentle about it.
An outtake I cut (but really should have left in) was where I sneezed and one of the rear wings fell off.
At least the car mode is badass.
