I've always imagined the 9 Hells with it's inverted cone shape (I don't think it's actually shaped like that, but many of the diagrams I've seen are. ) functions almost like a cork, or stopper on the opening of the abyss. Like they're the lock on the door.
Makes me wonder how the cults in Baulders Gate and Waterdeep are going to deal with the Demonic incursions up in the north in the Timeless novels. I hope that gets some crossover
Love the content. Thanks for the show! This is the second Dragon Talks episode that I've watched so far. Looks like you have a great setup there. But it sounds like you have some clipping in the audio (over modulation). Maybe take another look at your gain structure. Thanks again!
So good . I am just about to place an order for the "Blood War" from DM's-Guild . Wonder if we will see another adventure/campaign that will take place in the Planescape setting ??
So when mortals die they go to heaven or hell or some other ethereal plane but what happens when demons, devils and celestials die? Do they respawn in their respective planes or do they cease to exist? Or do they go somewhere ever weirder?
Different 'good' gods have conflicting interest, but don't wanna see too much harm come to pass and seem to keep it pretty civil, but theirs certainly conflict of the less violent more bureaucratic kind. I mean celestials go rogue, that's how we got Zarial
There have been massive wars between the various good aligned celestials, at least in the history of the game before WotC took over the brand. These are quite infrequent now as the powers of good realized how much damage was caused and that they had weakened their own ranks compared to their infernal counterparts. They also established a council to deal with such conflicts. But this was back in the day when the writing and structure of the cosmology was far superior to the poorly thought out mess it currently is in.
I feel like if you have a meeting in Azmodeus' office he will definitely offer you a snack and a cold beverage.
And a cigar. He wants you very comfortable. Puts you off your guard.

I like this!
I do believe they got that from Dante
Love the podcast. A limiter or compressor would stop that audio from booming, and bring up anything thats a little quiet.
Hey I really appreciate you putting the date stamp at the top of this video. CHRIS PERKINS CANNOT GET SICK!
Great video! Enjoy your Wednesday! Chris Perkins, awesome people.💯🙏👐
I love reading about the blood wars.
Been playing since Advanced D&D.
I hope you do more about the subject.
Absolutely love this series!
Its the mirror of Angels and Archangels, but they supposed to work harmonically in sync.
I wish they would make this a separate podcast and start really breaking down the lore. Kinda like dungeoncast except with loremasters.
I like these discussions/videos - however my speakers are begging for better audio
Lol im about to run Descent into Avernus tomorrow, happy i got a little brush up on the lore
Love it! thank you for rumaging your archives ^^

Chris, keep them coming. I can't get enough.
I hope we see that Undead Elderbrain stuff one day

Can we have a bit more info on baernaloths? So little is known.
i would love to see Chris Perkins DM a 1-20 evil campaign
Lawful 'willing to do whatever is required'

sooo: Demons are Id and Devils are Ego?
Chris Perkins = D&D God!
That would be Gigax
Perkins is Metatron
I've been playing a bit too much borderlands recently. That thumbnail hit different.
BLOOOD FEEEEUUUUUD
I can't wait to see how people react to spelljammer 5e I love the look on people faces when the crystal spheres are described

Isn't that 'story about Devil's making a move on the Forgotten Realms' just decent into avernus?
Lets not forget that devils were once Angeles. That is part of the reason they fight the demons.
At 02:14 "spawns an infinite number of DEVILS".... should that be DEMONS?
Exactly my thoughts... he later corrects himself at 2:24
Yeah, he stumbled over that a little bit. I think he just misspoke.
Limiter for the mic plc. It’s clipping. Content is graut thou
Can we get an avernus tower defense game please
The blood war is just devils playing balloons tower defense lol
Is there any "good" analogue to the blood war?
The Water Accord!

@@genghisgalahad8465 what's that?

Chris should maybe watch Escape from the Bloodkeep 🤔
CHRRRRRIIIIIIISSSSSSSS!!!
Guys greg's microphone is always clipping and the sound quality in general is really poor
