      ***** i don't know any point guard in NBA history other than Stephen curry to were as soon as a point guard cross the half court line the opponents call a double team because how great of a shooter he is

      Cornelius Mitchell Back then in the NBA double teams were rarer than they are today.
      Today if your moderately good you get double teamed.

      ***** if you look at all varieties of shooting. catch and shoot, off the dribble, step back, pull up, hell even fade away threes, stephen curry is farrr better than any shooter that has ever played the game. Steve Nash doesn't shoot in varieties and doesn't shoot as much, as he is not a scorer like curry. I'm pretty sure Nash has even said Curry is a better shooter.

    Amongst all the star PGs in the league right now (Westbrook, Rose, Irving, etc.), Stephen will most likely have the longest career.
    He doesn't rely much on his athleticism. So his game will age well.

    Curry is undoubtedly the best shooter with a quick release but there is no denying that steve nash will always be considered probably the best shooter ever in terms of percentages.

    • @sravansurapaneni8534
      @sravansurapaneni8534 10 лет назад +1

      Being the best shooter ever has to do with percentages AND volume. Otherwise Jose Calderon is one of the greatest shooters of all time. Nash never made 200 3's in a season; Curry set the record while shooting close to Nash's highest 3P% season. He also shot 50% on 2's this season. He just takes too many 3's to shoot 50% on all FGs, and if a guy can shoot over 40% from 3, he's hurting his team by holding back. Curry's well on pace to break Ray Allen's all time 3's made, and doing it at a % that's good for 3rd best all time. He's also the 4th most accurate free throw shooter ever (he was first, but his numbers dipped). 50-40-90 isn't a great stat; it doesn't account for a guy who shoots 3's at 45% in a season and makes 272.

      I was thinking the same thing! Steve Nash is my favorite player, but Stephen Curry is starting to becoming my second because he carries so many parallels with Steve Nash. And quite frankly although my play resembles Nash, shooting wise I resemble Curry.

    • @isawrooka4
      @isawrooka4 10 лет назад +3

      He cherry picked his shots. No doubt Nash was a great shooter but he only took what the defense gave him. Curry, Ray Allen, and Reggie Miller are in a league of their own because no matter what they throw at you there's no stopping the inevitable.

    I like Curry's game but also analyze all aspects of the game... If you watch this clip almost 90% of the way he gets those shots off is after he gets a pick and its usually on a big man that can't move his feet quick enough to stay with him.....I know its a highlight clip and all but if you a true hooper you notice these things right off the back....He's a great player but i'd like to see him create his own shot on a more consistent basis..

    He's really good but he kind of a ball hog all he do is shoot!! I don't pay much attention to him or the worries but I would be surprised if he gets any assist!! 😕
