I dont think you need to run out on the court, Nick. All you need to do is actually touch your hands together while your team has possession of the ball.
Nick Nurse called time out when Maxey lost posession. Sixers immediatelly tried to play after first 3 pt ( Brunson lucky bounce) and Nurse was watching sidelines signaling some tactics...I don't see this as a time out call
Nurse was watching the sideline ref do his 5 second count. He was preparing to call timeout if it got close. That's why he pulled the signal back when the ball is inbound. Trying to get a timeout in while the ball was scrambling is a different topic. I don't think Maxey had firm control to grant any sort of timeout.
You literally watched the video and still messed up your post. Just say "I'm a Knicks fan and I'm grateful"
@@africadondada6555You can’t call timeout when you don’t have firm possession of the ball. It’s clear that the ball and teams are scrambling for possession.
They should have called timeout before inbounding the ball that was rookie team mistake. Hold that L
You either don’t understand that or don’t want to because you being a Sixers fan boy.
Lucky bounce 😅👍🏼
@@africadondada6555You don’t think as a sixers fan that you may be missing the entire point as well? It’s literally in this video.
It’s not a clear call for a timeout for the refs to call if none of the your own players were calling for a timeout. Your own players are the refs are not mind readers.
Lowry is facing Nick Nurse and he proceeded to inbound the ball.
When Maxey was on the ground he didn’t cradle the ball and call for a timeout. He tried to get rid of it.
None of the Sixers standing on the bench were signaling for a timeout!
I believe a time out can only be called when your player has sole controlled possession of the ball. Nurse hit the time out signal while Maxey and Josh Hart were both grabbing the ball. Sour grapes IMO. It was such a bang bang type of play that you can't expect the refs to bail you out in a playoff game like that. Even when we're all sitting here watching slow mo replays over and over again it's still inconclusive. Knicks fans will say there was not timeout in time and Sixers fans will say they got screwed. At the end of the day, Philly got out hustled and the Basketball Gods made their verdict.
How about the Maxey push-off on Hart under the basket before the bad inbound from Lowry? I don't want to hear about bad or no calls!
You can’t be serious??? Brunson was LITERALLY holding Maxey’s Jersey on that inbound play!
You're correct- this clown is not serious
@@donaldstanley3905Jersey fouls are way too ticky tacky and shouldn’t be called at end of games. Imagine you pay money to see an all-important playoff game and then at the end you hear “JERSEY GRAB! FOUL!” What a lame way to end a playoff game. Let them play. This is why I hate most foul rules in general.
@@donaldstanley3905 Maxey literally pushed Hart before Brunson grabbed his jersey. It's a wash.
Why didn’t Nick Nurse call a timeout after the Brunson three and advance the ball? Is this guy a rookie coach? 😅
he called a timeout before the ball was inbounded
he said in the clip he was looking to see if they could get a quick inbound and once they couldn’t he started to call it
@@Tre_311 He was trying to save his timeout (for later) and messed it up. Should have taken the safe option of calling it after Brunson three (2 points ahead), advancing the ball to halfway and ATO a play with 20 seconds left. There were two guys (Nurse and Lowry) with championship experience. Panicked and made a rookie error.
J Will called it ... Lowery gotta call the timeout
Exactly!!!!! Lowry passed the ball in!
Yo....I was legit *SCREAMING* at my TV "TIME OUT!! TIME OUT!!" 😩😮💨
You should have screamed louder the refs didn’t hear you over that MSG capacity crowd lol
This is a terrible look for coach and the 76ers. Nothing worse than losing and it's entirely your fault and then you cry like a baby and scream victim. Now they want to file a grievance? Wow terrible look.
Terrible coaching. Everyone knows you call timeout immediately after Brunson makes the 3. This is what happens when you try to have your cake and eat it to.
@@user-nm5ry4xt5gcan you write this to the everyone who doesn’t seem to get it
“That’s home court advantage” I guess home teams get to play by different rules now ¯\(°_o)/¯
Apparently home court advantage is refs ignoring a coach clearly signaling for a timeout.
@@mjtingle1 I’m sure by now you’ve seen he didn’t actually call one
@@mjtingle1one of them was him preparing to call a time out if they got close to a 5 seconds which they inbounded it in time. the second he tried to call a time out when the ball was loose. thats always been ignored.
Bro edged the timeout
Maxey didn’t have control of the ball when the coach called timeout the timeout. Sixers should have called timeout before inbounding the ball. Period it wasn’t a home court thing or favoritism of any kind.
They literally gave the Sixers a challenge they should have lost a few plays before that.
They are trying to argue that the refs should have given them the game. That’s not it works in the playoffs
Refs are not supposed to decide the outcome of the games. When they do it’s called tampering.
Exactly. Playoff basketball is so much different then regular season games because the refs don’t influence the game nearly as much. Imagine if playoff games constantly ended with ticky tack fouls like light jersey grabbing being called, weak push-offs being called and cheap free throws for a coach calling a timeout. That would be awful. This is why I wish a lot of foul rules would be absent come playoff time. I just want to see them play.
He tried to pump fake his timeout after the fact 😂
@@crossedroses he didnt he went to call timeout but then lowry inbounded the ball and he stopped
@@crossedroses Nurse was watching the sideline ref's 5 second count. He was preparing to call timeout if the count was close. It's why he pulled the signal back when the ball was inbound. Trying to call timeout during a scramble is a different topic. Scrambling on the floor doesn't tell me he had full control.
@@wiIdcattm That's exactly how I saw it!! He was preparing to call a timeout based on the 5 second call coming
@@frazer4737 poor coaching and no situational awareness by both championship caliber coach and player who should have been insync. Meh, let's blame the officiating.
@@hardyharha I'm not blaming the officials, I'm blaming the 6ers
He had his hands up, close together, but he didn't actually make the T signal till Lowry had put the ball in play. At that point, you're leaving it up to fate, refs are watching the guy on the floor for fouls and you gotta get their attention. They had the chance. Own up to it. Or hit a shot on EITHER of your TWO next possessions. The blame game is shameful here.
Sixers can complain all they want. Go back to video tapes and it clearly shows Maxey gave the ball away. If time out was to be called, then Maxey should have curled in to fetal position plus guard the basketball with his dear life to allow Nick Nurse more time to call time out and referees would of saw the possession of ball for time out. Coach should not blame this loss on referees but blame him and his own team for not preparing themselves for a time out. Gotta work on that and no one is to blame
Ok, I have 2 questions:
1 How *tall* is Monica McNutt?
2 How *short* is Jay Will and Greeny?
😳
Monica is 6’2 Jay 6’1 Mike 5’11
Monica is “only” 6 feet. But she was wearing heels.
You're looking at Monica McNutt and only observing how tall she is? lol
I really enjoy Monica on Knicks Radio!
No. He wasn't ignored. He simply waited a bit too long. He doesn't put his hands together to signal for a time out until the ball was already starting to be inbounded. Once it is passed in, a time out cannot be called until the team has clear possession of the ball. Which never happened on this play. It was immediately popped up into the air. Then the Sixers player kinda/sorta won the battle for the ball, but never had control as he was falling to the ground. So can't call time out there either.
Bad coaching. He should’ve called timeout as soon as Brunson made the three. Then he pump fakes a timeout before maxey catches and finally attempts a real timeout as the ball gets stolen but he wouldn’t know because he turned his head from the play.
I watched the game, and the broadcast team said that Nick Nurse had no timeouts left. So I thought the referees were trying to prevent Nick from getting a tech.
that's what I heard too. Not sure how many TOs they actually had left. If that's true - then they are complaining about not getting a Tech! lol
Keep hating on the Knicks. This not even their peak. Whatever we do in the playoffs is just bonus right now. Our season start in the off season this year ! Go Knicks !
lol, barely squeaking by a Sixers team with an injured Embiid, with the refs help to boot. And Sixers will still win this series- book mark it & keep this receipt.
@@Reaper13-hi3yo Knicks dont have Randle and Brunson is struggling. And yall still lost. Knicks in 5
@@Reaper13-hi3yo Cope and seethe.
@@kaz1235g Brunson is a certified brick layer in the playoffs, when it becomes a pattern it is no longer a one-off
@@Reaper13-hi3yoand 76ers still cant win 😂
Since the ball was in bound he never had the ball fully .thats when he got double team and was fighting to hold on to it .
Nick nurse pump faked the first time u can see him pull his hands back before he actually calls it bc the ball is inbounded
I'm gonna sound biased AF but I keep it real all the time......Maxey didn't have possession for Nurse's TO to be honored. Philly should have called time after Brunson's shot but tried to be cute with getting the ball inbound and forcing a foul to take off more time. Knicks have been screwed religiously by officiating for over 30 years and this isn't some kind of fix or make good. Philly simply failed to follow basketball 101.
Dante DiVincenzo was fouled by Lowry and Knicks still lost challenge…maxey was held for a second after pushing off hart then he was “fouled” ok, I Hart was “fouled” on off. rebound in same fashion no call before DV 3..refs called it pretty even no
Shouldn’t have wasted those challenges. Got too confident the refs would side with you no matter what. Philly needs a Doctor instead of a Nurse
Does Nick Nurse know how to call a timeout or am I the one who doesn't know? 0:05 his hands don't look like they are together, looks like he's ready to call time but never completes the motion (at least that's what it looks like). But then he shows his motion at 0:31, and WHAT!?!?!? Isn't calling a timeout smashing the palm of your one hand over 4 vertical fingers of the other? Not 1 finger MAYBE coming into contact with the other hand? Nobody can see that from far away bro, you gotta call time like you mean it, not dance around the real motion.
Home court advantage line is bs to me a timeout is a timeout fans make it home court advantage not the refs
To Hard to call Maxey lost the Ball when Nurse did the finger timeout, imagine the other way Maxey loses the Ball and they give the timeout NY will be saying they took the Ball before the timeout, now cry me a river
@@davidvalladares6047 not a fan of either team I’m just talking about her take right at the end saying home court advantage over not getting the timeout, it’s clear he called timeout before maxey even passed it in. The timeout should’ve been called at least one ref should’ve had the presence in mind to look at the coach. Look at the situation timeout should’ve been the first thing to come to mind but all refs were watching the ball

@@mjtingle1 yea except he wasn’t and he tried to foul bait and flop
Make your free throws and this would’ve been a non issue
First one was legit. Second one was during a fight for possession
Nick Nurse wanted a timeout he had opportunity when Brunson hit the three. Bad coaching plain and simple he’s terrible at end of game situations
Can't wait for the league office to come out with another empty statement "we acknowledge that we missed some calls and a timeout at the end of the sixers-knicks game..were sorry, better luck next time 🤗"
Kelly Oubre gotta be in when the game’s on the line
Philly didn't have any timeouts left
This is a slippery slope
Nick we love you in Toronto but you can’t call timeout on a loose ball not when your own the other team
ESPN painting that Maxey timeout call like it was close. There are clear shots of nurse calling the timeout with Maxey holding the ball. It’s rigged, and the only ones saying otherwise are Knicks fans who benefitted from a soft whistle all night
iTs riGgEd gtfo
Nick Nurse: "Iguess I needed to run out onto the floor to get his attention, I don't know..."
I mean, you just said he was *literally* looking Right At You and nothing happened, so....just wasnt neant to be i guess 😵💫
What you need to do Nick
is actually call the TO, by touching your hands together, while your team has possession.
The NBA is trying to make the ends of games more exciting. Sounds cool but that's not their job.
iT APPEARED THAT DRAFT KINGS RENTED THE OFFICIATING IN THE LAST MINUTE.......... Maxey was fouled big time...... Josh Hart after ripping the ball from Maxey on the floor ..... watch his feet...... as he didn't even take one dribble...... HE TRAVELED LIKE RINGLING BROS.
She said that’s home court advantage 😂 boy ESPN sucks and it was atrocious listening to Stan van gundy call the game the timeout was called no foul calls at all knicks will lose in six games bookmark that the next two in Philadelphia the refs been like that with the sixers all this season not surprised they screwed them over
ofc ya gonna blame everything else except give the knicks credit, we already know how this goes
I'd like to see both teams at a 100 percent randle and healthy embiid. Both teams are as bAd as the bulls, Hawks here LoL
The soft interjection of timeout was the timeout
Lost all respect for Nick Nurse
Monica that skirt would make call a timeout…well make it quick
Missed free throws were key. Knicks ain’t all that tho. Half a Joel giving them trouble. N no one showing up outside maxey.
We don’t have Randle lmaooo…. Pipe down
No Randle and Brunson not playing his best and we still catch Ws. This is more of an indictment on Philly
I mean - Embiid is the last MVP. "Half-a-Joel" would give every team trouble - Hence the MVP. Through 2 games - The best player on NY has been Hart. Which is enough for a 2-0 lead. That's problematic for PHI
@@marvdatboi Brunson is a brick layer in the playoffs. If Embiid was healthy this series would be a laugher- congrats on barely squeaking by with the refs help. I doubt the favorable calls NYK got in NY will follow them to Philly. Ya'll still going to lose the series which is hilarious
@@shazardsahai4613Acting like Randle is a playoff riser? NN would have had him in hell judt like he is now with Brunson. Be grateful for DDV & Hart. And they would not be getting that nuch fg attempts if Randle was avaikable. It woukd have been a 2 man show between him & Randle. I saw it prior to the trade for OG. This is why RJ's game has improved since he joined the Raps.
