  • In this week's procedure video, Dr. Carter deals with a challenging case. This patient is a diabetic that has not had his nails trimmed in approximately one year. The nails have curved downward and are now digging into the patient's skin. This can be very painful and causes concern for the development of ulcers. Watch as Dr. Carter trims these nails to prevent wounds from developing in the future!

I agree, with a diabetic person especially, she should have taken her time and been more careful and thorough. Seeing the nails after they dremel them would have ended the video nicely, as far as seeing the transformation. Seems like she just did a chop job, way too quick.

I really would have liked to see them after the dremel. I’ve tried to never be critical of any of the podiatrist videos, but this really needed the finished product! They looked so chopped up. Pointed edges and needed more cutting before smoothing and thinning-I think, because of previous videos I’ve seen. I realize he’ll be coming back but this one was kind of frustrating. 🥺

No it couldn't have it was caused by the dead skin hardening like a scab and 99 percent of the time it isnt an issue but this time she lifted it to clip and it torn the skin as a it came away. Not her fault at all slow or fast. Tired of comments from people who never have or will do this trying to tell a professional what's what

I don't care of your in a rush and rough with most average patient care, but with diabetic people you have got to be more careful.
You were literally using leverage to break off mail, rather than using got, sharp nippers that don't squeak.
