DL2 wasn't bad, but, to your point... DL1 was so immersive with the soundtrack and day/night juxtaposition and the parkour mechanics and multiplayer gameplay... it's still a perfect game IMO. DL2 felt like a husk of DL1... and it wasn't bad in and of itself. Just no FPS zombie game comes close to DL1, and that's why it is a top-3 most replayed game of all-time for me.

2:10 i really really enjoy this detail. near the beginning, the zombies are all people who've been dead since the start and some the virals from the initial outbreak are still fresh enough to keep running, everyones mostly wearing normal clothes. at the end of the game, most of the walkers are rais's men, soldiers, bandits or survivors who made it a little longer than the initial outbreak. all of the people killed in the beginning would've slowed down by then so most of the virals you'll see are dressed in runners gear, implying that they died some time post-outbreak
Dying Light had impressive graphics. The first time I exited The Tower, my jaw dropped. I had an old graphics card (I think it was a GTX 460), and it started to lag outside the Tower, so I had to lower my settings. But I'll never forget that moment. DL1 featured combat based on physics, which was incredibly fun and offered much more freedom than the AC series. Yes, the crafting system was basic, and the story was straightforward-trying to save the world from the bad guy. But I loved the entire lore, like the concept of the Tower, the Runners, and the Volatiles. However, the best aspect was the game's atmosphere. I loved free-roaming through the city, scavenging just for the sake of it. I would go out at night, imagining I needed to find valuable materials (and go for the drops) like in some missions, and then escape from the Volatiles. The city was beautifully designed, with a lot of details and diversity on the map. Many of the side quests were funny or creepy but, most importantly, very interesting. I'll never forget the moment I entered Gazi's house and saw him sitting with his "mom." It was funny, creepy, and sad all at once. There were also many small gameplay details that you can see on this channel. The entire soundtrack was perfect, fitting the game's atmosphere perfectly. Sadly, DL2, released seven years later, did many things worse. The combat and parkour felt off and much less realistic-I just didn't like it. I completed the full story, did a few side quests, and then uninstalled it. I'll probably never want to replay it like I did with DL1, which I replayed 4-5 times.

Bro, it's already lost, and the detail in the game is only good by today's standards because there's no detail in games at all anymore. Couple of tips I can give you, regularly see the quartermaster as much as possible for free supplies. Press and hold the search button when doing missions if you can't find an objective, the same goes for crafting supplies, cause that shit is everywhere. Add effects to your weapons for extra damage, also read all the leveling perk points and what they do, some of them are much more effective than others depending on play style. Ammo is rare In the beginning so craft a good melee weapon to deal with volatiles and keep back ups, couple honorable mentions are the volatile baton and the haran weapon set, forget what it's called but you can use a wrench to craft it.
@@joshizfly I just restarted playing it too and I am having a lot of fun while still getting my ass handed to me occasionally, I am getting better slowly and waiting to unlock the grappling hook and I am at the point in the story where you need to get a sample from a certain type of zombie
1:48 After a certain portion of the game, most if not all Zombies are swapped by their third and fourth variants which are stronger in hp and damage, and also are more aggressive. Third variants have a chance to spawn "elemental" and carrying weapons, they are mostly wearing thicker or less ragged clothes like jackets or fancier outfits, they lunge at you at a greater distance and sometimes even do multiple lunges at once. Fourth variants are Hazmat zombies and industrial zombies, they all wear some kind of very thick industrial or hazardous-proof rubber clothes, they have a much higher chance of spawning as an elemental and are very often carrying melee weapons. Also there is a slim chance of spawning female Fourth variants, but they wear thick jackets similar to the Third variants, making them almost indistinguishable in all but their health. EDIT: Forgot to mention the Fourth variant also includes soldier zombies.
It is a fantastic game and I love this video. That’s a sub from me. I do really wish you had just held still on a wide angle for the zombie dance. I felt like I wanted to see but it was like I was a chipmunk or a humming bird darting around, looking left and right😁
I just remember the graphics even on ps4 when it came out were game changing. The atmosphere and feeling like you really are just a helpless dude with an axe was so immersive.
I always assumed that the Antizin Crane pockets in the start are the one Rais takes away from you when you get taken into his Arena fight and loads it into the syringe that he tosses to you to make a choice between you and Jade.
I think te this "one" antizine what Rais give at museum was exacly this same antizine what Crane put in pocket becouse 1. Rais is psychophat so i dont think the he will give his own atizine and 2. yeah definitely i did enjoy dying light 2 but i would rather have a remaster for dying 1 and dying light the following instead of having a dying light 3
Ive got it, but i never could get into it. Maybe i should give it another shot and start a new game
Yes you definitely should
It is just so fucking hard at the start, my modern games accustomed ass can't handle the 2013 era
@@AdolphHItler-rs1wi alright so I went back and restarted, I've made it to haran, the second area. Have tons of blueprints and crafting supplies.
@@AdolphHItler-rs1withere’s literally absolutely nothing hard about the beginning or anything about the game what are you 10?🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤡🤡
I've been playing this game for over 250 hours now. I've seen most of it, but some parts were unfamiliar, thanks!
Reasons why i Love dying light to my heart
This game for me is peak survival horror, i swear, till this day i have cold sweats when night time comes
Hearing the volatiles running behind you is so fucking anxiety inducing it's unreal
The atmosphere was simply just outstanding in this game and still is to this day
It is a fantastic game and I love this video. That’s a sub from me.
I do really wish you had just held still on a wide angle for the zombie dance. I felt like I wanted to see but it was like I was a chipmunk or a humming bird darting around, looking left and right😁
20:10 heck yeah freedom!!!
That chase scene at the end where they are all chasing you has to be one of the best parts of Dying light.
There was more atmosphere in the first 20 seconds of this video than you’ll find in an entire play through of DL2.
man I thought I was one of the few who loved this game on a spiritual level
3:24 he found way to escape...
its been eight years since the game released and it's still in my top 5 best game that i ever played
To this day i'm still asking myself what happened to Dying Light 2 ......
I just remember the graphics even on ps4 when it came out were game changing. The atmosphere and feeling like you really are just a helpless dude with an axe was so immersive.
The visuals and music are INSANE
I always assumed that the Antizin Crane pockets in the start are the one Rais takes away from you when you get taken into his Arena fight and loads it into the syringe that he tosses to you to make a choice between you and Jade.
The sound track to this game is insaneeeeee. Dying light is my favourite game of all time
I think te this "one" antizine what Rais give at museum was exacly this same antizine what Crane put in pocket becouse 1. Rais is psychophat so i dont think the he will give his own atizine and 2. He was take everything from us at these misson. Btw we dont see what Crane do with antizine, maybe he left this on ground and dont take this to pocket 🤷
playing this in quarantine with 3 of my friends is somehow a memory i cherish, thx for the nostalgia, great video!
12:10 kinda sucks u didnt show how the parkour looks with this point of view, great video very nostalgic game
The game will never be forgotten, the story, combat, and abesolute banger of a second game makes the game sooo legendary. replaying the story felt so fresh everytime..
27:04 "Bro,please..."
19:47 This was a funny one.
i always liked the first dying light. playing as crane feels like playing chris redfield in 1st person. and ofc The Main Theme
