precisionsharpe... The new bevel buddy maxx does a great job at sharpening the chipper knives! Keep them sharp!! The grinder is fast, easy, and most of all safe.
Hi love the patter between you and Josh brilliant that what you need to get through the day .Make sure you put a tracker on it all so you know where it is at all times John.
Great video! Our chippers are electric so these are inefficient. If we have the hood open she gets new knives. We had the old back grinders back in the day and I hated sharpening knives after they were used lol. Keep on keeping on :)
So this tool John is utilized as a "to just get by temp fix"? I can tell it doesn't take down much material and ya don't want that if your constantly being audited for chip grade because quality chip thickness is a necessity. I'm a former sawmill chipper operator and depending on what chips are being used for what makes or breaks a chipperman when they need to know exactly when to change out a set, from experience you can tell a story from looking at just one handful of chips. Now as far as quality of chip after you use the "hand grinder"........ have you had quality check from a chip mill and was it positive feedback? And also, it looks like it is non adjustable for thickness of the grind. I know you guys wouldn't be using it if it didnt benefit your operation but......... but is their a mount or slide type clamp to make it stationary except to slide back and forth on that one particular knife as so there is no gouging or high spots. So in another word, so your maintaining the same grind thicknesses from edge to edge? Thanks in advance John, stay safe!

Hey, I've been watching Sergei and can't wait to see him hookup to the 'new' chipper. His channel is good too and I've learned a lot about trucking.
The money that would be saved having it would be worth it's weight in gold thanks for showing.
Nice tool for those knives!
