    A coffee a day keeps the blues away .. really enjoyed how realistic this was! Starting a new job and going back to 9-5 mon to fri, I would probably have treated myself to a coffee or something every day too lol. Your spending didn't seem too bad at all actually, utilities/bills aside which can't be helped.

    I would suggest for iron if you haven't talked to your doctor about an iron infusion ask them. It helped get my iron up and stay up for months. If you aren't eligible then Iron Melts are also available at woolies and so easy on the tummy and usually $11 I think

    Thank you for being transparent and realistic in your video! I agree that tracking allows you to reflect on the value of expenses. My drink of choice is soda which sometimes can easily become a daily expense 😅

    Hey Ella, I've been a silent subscriber but love seeing videos like this. Very real and interesting :) I noticed you mentioned about cancelling Nick's hospital cover. You may know already but seeing both you and Nick are continuing to get pay rises and bringing home more income, your combined threshold may exceed 180K and may have to pay Medicare levy surcharge. It usually works out cheaper or about the same getting hospital cover instead of not holding any hospital cover and paying the surcharge.

    • @smileycitrus
      @smileycitrus  Год назад +1

      firstly, thanks so much! your support means the world 🥹 & secondly, thank you for the advice!! honestly had completely forgotten about the levy so i'll make sure I look into it further before cancelling 🥰

    Love it scary totals is AUS money but I think even in GBP it would still make my eyes water just because you’re paying for two places right now. Did you do a video on why you’re building rather than buying a property around built I’d love to know the thought process, I’d love to build one day ❤
    I know you love coffee and like you said you monitor and cut back where you want which is as it should be. Is there any reason you go for buying over making one at home in a travel mug? My daughter enjoys her coffee and there’s no shop between her work and home so she makes one to go I just think with how much $5 can add up over a year I wonder why you choose to buy out? Also I realise this was your first week back and perhaps not a true pic of your regular coffee habit 😊 I love that you have coffee Friday with hubby so important to keep dating ❤

    • @smileycitrus
      @smileycitrus  Год назад +1

      we chose to build because of the area we want to live in ☺️ it's typically cheaper to build than buy an older house around here and there was more land available at the time than pre exisiting house + we get a brand new house so less maintenance, fixing things etc.
      We usually only buy coffee a few times a week but this was a rough week 🥲 definitely love making my coffee from home too 🥰

    • @DonnasWonderland
      @DonnasWonderland Год назад

      @@smileycitrus thank you I love that you’re building I think because you get so much more input it really makes your house your home from the beginning rather than living in other peoples choices until you can get round to a Reno then living in a Reno urghhh I’d rather not lol 😂 I’m so excited for you.
      You know little confession I hate coffee ☕️ 😳 but I love all the stuff for coffee and I do like the smell of beans but once you add water I want to 🤢 tea girl through and through it’s the British thing 😂 but yea I totally get it was a rough week getting back into the swing xx
