A truly great player. I'm a Newcastle fan and I still wish he'd signed for United over Spurs. I reckon Sir Alex would have been good for him at that point in his life. Could've been a different storey.

On ability, Gazza was the greatest English player of all time and one of the worlds best.
Great goals but come on. He scored some blinders that put those to shame.
Blackpool at St.James Park was a magnificent strike..nestled in stanchion..at gallowgate end....

This should be retitled Paul Gascoigne's top 10 goals for Rangers. Surely his free kick for Spurs v Arsenal in 91 FA Cup Semi-Final and that goal v Scotland at Euro 96 should be topping any top 10 of Gazza's goals.

Gazza should have been in top 3 by ballon d'or in 1996, at least, but he hasnt even been among candidates. One of the biggest injustice in sport history.

These were after his horror injury too-and in a mediocre league-I saw him before the injury regularly at Spurs and he was world class then. Lost a yard after '91's cup final tackle-still great but never the same as before.

Have to be honest and own up as not a big football fan, but from a naive perspective, Le Tissiers top 10 looked better. Having listened to the documentaries about him though, the fact that he kept delivering through some very difficult media pressure is impressive. There are people in the media who love trying to bring a good guy down... and they were at least partly responsible.

This is GAZZA playing CLUB football for Rangers!!!! He scored loads of goals better than that euro 96 game.... obviously that goal was class.... but for him it was EASY!!!
