- ANYWAY like god my brain works in mysterious ways so heres a 3 minute animatic that i abandoned like three months ago.
Edward and Frenchie go to a restaurant not knowing Stede and Lucius were gonna be there too, so in an effort to show how deeply he doesnt care about stede, ed makes a toast in honor of his best friend.
Its based on a fic by wellwhiskey on ao3 titled "The Crew Dines Out" which is actually based on that one episode of iasip. I love this fic it is soooo underrated. You can tell I was so compelled by the dialogue, as the entire thing its taken straight from the fic. I truly think this is one of THE funniest and in character ofmd fanfics out there more people should definitely read it.

Izzy being conspicuously missing because he's in his cabin, openly sobbing about not being Ed's new best friend
WAIT OMGGGG hes actually featured in the fic and his IS in the restaurant with the others but the catch is neither stede nor ed know hes there too. when stede and ed make their toasts, izzy in his own table thinks that theyre both talking about him and hes seething in his seat going "how dare you?! i didnt say that!". this scene actually starts from izzy's pov, where he thinks everyone is judging him, but no one even realizes hes there - it is absolutely hilarious. did not include him here since i thought itd be too heavy of a project and also i hate him

@Seaa0987 served his purpose in the narrative! he was always a stand in for upholding toxic masculinity, and someone who was holding ed back for growth. he won s1 and lost hard beginning of s2 but was shown a different option where maybe its not all about surviving by being the biggest baddie in the room. he couldve been a cautionary tale, by being a character who went to extremes and never changed, but the writers took an interesting route with him by instaed showcasing that change and growth is possible. and they acknowledged how shitty he was in the first s1! hurray! suffice to say i always have the correct and right interpretations and its no different here with izzy. rip old chihuhaha

@@king-wenskiii2511@alliannaclark Still Izzy I think Izzy shouldn't have died he was by far the highlight of s2 and they just kinda killed him off and made him take all the blame of his and Blackbeards toxic relationship. THE MAN MADE A COPING METHOD OF HIS INJURIES BEING PUT ON BY SHARKS AND ITS NEVER MENTIONED AGAIN!
I literally just got the chance to watch this show and just finished watching it. I came here to lessen the sadness and this showed up and its just 👌. Thank you this is incredible.

This is great!! I'm used to short mainly-humorous content from you, so this was a delight to go "oH. It's almost three and a half minutes long!" and then lie down on the couch and enjoy. You did a fantastic job of portraying a combination of actual painful hurt and humor here. Awesome work!! I feel like I misread the vibe of the thumbnail so completely. I came here for a fun time and while this is exactly the sort of double layer scene from OFMD that would make you laugh it also made me CRY. I'm in a glass case of emotions. Thank you. For that.
Also I super adore the motion and life you give to your characters always. The way that Ed is gesturing when talking about the rats? Super amazingly well done!!! There's so much life and body language to it, and the silhouette is SO strong. So cheers from the technical stand point too, as always!!

I'm cackling!!! I love this so much!! I've never read this fic but kudos to the author bc that dialogue was so in character. And the way you drew them all too was amazing. There was so much emotion in Ed's poses and movement, it looked very professional. I was laughing through out this entire video
Holy shit that fot me so hard XD I started openly laughing when that guitar played a d I started realizing what Ed's singing, gosh I'm almost crying this is so good! The writing is of course phenomenal, so in character, and I'm definitely gonna go read it. But that animatic tho!!! The miming of smacking rats also sent me, and Frenchie's face was amazing, the body language and expressions all together were absolutely amazing ahhh so fun!!

I'm not the creator, but that's fair. Maybe you can set the video to .75x or .5 speed? And since it doesn't have a lot of audio, you could also pause when needed. But maybe the .75 speed thing would be less intrusive.
