according to a comment I read, the chocolates we know that are for gifts were invented roughly circa 1847, so he didn't just bought them. he literally INVENTED gift chocolates just for his angel.
What I love most about this is boxed chocolates weren't invented/mainstream for another *_53_* years. Crowley literally came up with the idea of boxed chocolates for Aziraphale.
When the script says that Crowley was having too much fun with the voices I genuinely wanted to cry, because, goddamn it, this would've been one of my favorite scenes. Also, Crowley with the chocolates for Aziraphale made me so incredibly happy.

@@MinisDunyasi5 I know that, but Neil said at first it was Michael that was going to play Crowley, but when they got closer and closer to start filming both Neil and Michael were unsure if he would fit the role and both were worried the other one was sure of the role, so they switched and David got cast as Crowley, which turned out to be one of the best decision they made! Michael and David have such good chemistry its amazing to watch! They usually go up for the same roles in movies or plays so they hadn't worked together really before apart from one movie called "Bright Young Things"

I’m surprised this scene exists because I thought Neil wanted Good omens to be as accurate to the book in honor of Sir Terry. This scene plus Gabriel aren’t in the books. Season 2 is interesting because it is the metatron not Gabriel that took Aziraphale back to heaven.
I think even without this scene Gabriel’s comment was self explanatory. Crowley miracles or the demon equivalent, all of his clothes. Not just him but almost all angels and demons miracle their clothes. Azirapale doesn’t and neither does Gabriel. That’s why he says his suits are tailored and funny enough he won’t be able to do if the earth got destroyed

Nevermind the fact that they would have been *replacing* another angel, instead of increasing the total number of angels. A lie of omission, which demons are good at.
