I'll re-word it: as someone who is fascinated by the history of Germany and the Cold War, I would have been keen to visit Cold War-era Berlin, and experience daily life and politics on both sides of the divide. Obviously I will never now get to do that. This does not mean that I think the Cold War, the Berlin Wall, Erich Honecker or the SED were good things (they weren't).
My comment is a bit late, but it was probably the 10 - 100mm Lens produced by Zeiss/Jena (east german subsidiary of Zeiss) It's a design made by Angineux, a French company, I believe it's still sold today A very beautiful lens for sure
