That is probably the best entry level Vegas room I have ever seen. I typically don't consider Mandalay Bay because of it's location but I may consider it for this room and the pool which looks like one of the best.
I know we're just at the introductory room phase, and I have no explanation why I love your CVS/Walgreens wrap-ups...the crinkle of the snack bags and health bar wrappers, to the description of the waters, coconut beverages and energy drinks.
Mandalay Bay is my very favorite property in Vegas. I've done the Center Strip thing for years and really don't think we are missing much staying down on the south-end of the Strip, plus everything is a quick Uber away anyways! All of the rooms are incredible, casino is spacious, and the restaurants are fantastic. We come back a couple of times a year like clockwork!
Couldn't agree more I got Las Vegas to gamble, gamble, go to a concert or two, relax at the wave pool. Waking the strip with the pot smoking, 400z drinking, frat boys, and overweight girls, if I want to see that I am 7 miles to the beach here in Florida get that anytime I want.
I absolutely loved my stay in that level of room at Mandalay Bay. Loved the whole MB experience! Thanks for this great reminder. Definitely the best walk-through review video I've seen. And, I've seen a lot! Subscribing.
Just stayed at the Mandalay Bay for the first time. Wow, was I surprised at the quality of the base King room. It was incredible! The thing that stood out to me the most was the size and quality of the bathroom! It was by far the biggest bathroom I’ve had in any Vegas hotel room. I also loved how the granite had flecks of blue in it. Truly beautiful!
Yeah, I’d say you do the BEST vids on the Vegas resort scene on Utube. You cover the rooms that the vast majority of viewers actually stay at - NOT in a $15,000/night penthouse, given by the management for vlogging about their property.
Mandalay Bay is by FAR the best resort on the Strip! I love that it’s at the far end of the Strip! The nighttime view from a room facing the Strip is spectacular and you see every resort! I’ve stayed twice at MB and we are going back soon. I could easily just stay a whole week at MB resort and not even mess with the rest of the Strip.
Mandalay Bay is our favourite to stay at. We love the south strip and Delano and Mandalay bay is the cherry on top of it all. Really nice resort. Great video as always
Really think this big room is cool. The white fabrics are reminiscent of the 70’s. The accent wall is amazing. Sitting/work area too? Can’t believe it’s the cheapest. Great review, cheers.
Planning our first ever Vegas trip and want to stay at Mandalay Bay for at least half of our stay. Excited to see the rest of your review! Really enjoy your channel. Hoping a trip in the fall will also be less crowded with fewer kids at the pool. Thanks James!
What a great room! Love the spacious feel and the entire bathroom setup. I’ve never seriously considered staying at Mandalay Bay only because my travel companions insist on staying mid-Strip. I do like how spread out the slots are in their casino, and they have a nice selection of dining options. If I get to do solo travel in the future, or go to Las Vegas for a Raiders game, Mandalay Bay will get my $$$.
Hi Ann~ Mandalay Bay is probably THE spot to stay if the sole purpose of a trip is a Raider's Game. The stadium is right there and the hotel is a complete ecosystem. And you're right - the dining at MB is SEVERELY underrated
I loved Mandalay Bay over a decade ago. Just the best in taste. The buffet was awesome, including service. Glad it is still holding the standard of excellence.
Not long after the tragic shooting I got very ill at the buffet definitely food poisoning. I was sad about that cuz I always like their buffet that's the last time I've been there it's a long that's a long time ago already what 5 years?
Great looking room. Can’t wait for the experience video! As nice as this looks I wonder if it can beat Planet Hollywood in overall value? So tough to overcome the location advantage PH brings to the table…
Coolist, I truly love your content! I'm always sharing your content on the Vegas Facebook pages that I'm on. If someone has a question about a resort in Vegas, I'm going straight to your content and dropping your review. Keep up the grind, why you don't have 5 million subs just is baffling to me.
You are totally selling this hotel! I've avoided it because of it's location. Need to hear if it's CVS/Walgreens friendly! Can't wait for the rest of the vids!
If you don’t have a car, your best options are to take the free tram to Excalibur then walk to the CVS by Park MGM or the Target across the street from Park MGM. If you do have a car, there is a Smith’s grocery store and a Whole Foods not far south of Mandalay Bay. Of course, the RTC bus does run that way as well.
Oh man am I looking forward to your upcoming videos! I’ve stayed at Delano and loved it. In August I’ll be staying at Mandalay Bay. As a 6’4” guy I’ll definitely be taking advantage of that soaking tub.
Thank u for this video! We love Vegas and go often, but never stayed at Mandalay Bay due to the location. Your video showing how nice and big the room is makes it worth considering!
The Mandalay Bay Bathrooms are huge. I really like the carpet. The closets are large, and the doors are unusual, but fit the theme. The Air Conditioning in the casino is the coldest I’ve ever experienced. I had to leave one afternoon because it was so cold its was painful.
Love the Mandalay! Easy property to navigate. We once stayed two nights at the Luxor and negotiating those inclinators was a pain. Then we switched to Treasure Island. What a pleasure that was. Walk into the building and the elevator was right there. The Mandalay has the same feel.
Yea we love Mandalay Bay, the Luxor is straight up ghetto did they still have those big black bugs all over the place? And the inclinator or whatever it is called sound like the 4 train going into the Bronx. No thanks.

Mandalay is my home away from home!❤️🥂 I always ask for a high floor, pool view, non-connecting room. Further of a walk but worth it! Been staying every year since 2011 and will be back in 37 more sleeps!

Not the standard entry level king room at MB. Your booking may have been for the standard king, but you received a king in the curve of the building that is much larger than the standard king, but not the next king class room. Rooms can get complicated. When I stay at MB, I book a 2 queen room because I hate that blue carpet. Have a great time.
It's a resort king 💯, Which is the cheapest room. If there are variances among resort kings that's interesting but honestly also almost too nuanced for me.
@@Coolist Love your videos man, I'm actually a Front Desk Agent at the Mandalay Bay so I'm glad to see you showing love to our hotel! This is indeed a Resort King, some have the added square footage because they used to be a different room type, definitely can't beat this room for the cheapest price!
Im staying next month just for the variety of pools. Ive been to a bunch of the big hotels, but im looking forward to the lazy river, moorea, and daylight
Mandalay Bay is where I always go. I like the wide open casino, the pools and the spa. The restaurants aren't great in general but the House of Blues has great breakfast. I take the free shuttle to Excalibur and walk to New York and MGM. I get a strip view and enjoy my great room. Stayed at the Ballagio last Christmas, hated it..too crowded. Don't go to Wolfgang pucks restaurant. Small portions and expensive.
Hey James just a suggestion. Maybe do a short outro or leave a little more space at the end of your videos. They end abruptly before I have a chance to give a thumbs up! Love your content. Keep up the good work.
Never stayed there but it looks great! What a tub! Fluer, however is one of my favorite restaurants. I went to Aureole once and was disappointed in the wine pairing with the tasting menu. It was a total ripoff but I complained to the sommelier and he fixed it in a big way. He really saved my dinner. I thanked him with a bottle of 97 Silver Oak cab.
Thanks Coolist, awesome review. I just got back from MB, I liked the room better than Delano, it seemed newer and fresher. It was the best strip view room I have ever seen at any Vegas hotel. You unfortunately did not get a good strip view. Short walk to the pool. You can also get a huge nice room at MGM Signature for a low price, MB is a bit more luxurious but MGM Signature is closer to the strip plus near the monorail station. Still loved my room and stay at MB!
I booked a room at the Luxor for July, but if I check in two weeks (my next paycheck) and the prices for MGM are still low, I will consider either Aria or Mandalay Bay

I REALLY DINT eat there except for lunch by the pool. I left property for dinner and 2 shows Lionel Richie and AGT Superstar show 🎉👏👍both INCREDIBLE. Now leaving property nightly was VERY VERY expensive for Ubers. This why I wouldn't stay here the layout of the hotel and location is not for me anymore. I stayed here about 13 years ago and it was great but heck I just didn't know any better I was a broke bartender sharing a room w another girl . Next MGM resort I'll stay at Mirage next never stayed there and it'mid strip . What I find most interesting is what you say about CVS ..your 100 💯 precent CORRECT! Mandlay bottle water were 5$ a bottle WTF . I'll be staying in the middle of the strip next time.
It's closer to five than four that's for certain. When it first opened it most definitely was five star. People sometimes forget five star is subjective and also very inclusive. Majestic elegance punta Cana, Wynn Las Vegas, and BVLGARI London are all five star and nothing alike.
Not sure when or why, but I obtained a somewhat irrational hate of hotel rooms with a connecting door. It's one of the first things I look for in these review videos.
Hahahahaha, I was way off! XD Although in fairness you technically stayed at Delano that previous time you visited Mandalay Bay, so should have considered that. =) Can't wait for the review! =D
Question since you have visited a few of the hotels. My buddy and I and he is a first timer we are both in our late fifties where is the best hotel to go that has a great pool few bars to drink and meet people and a great spa and is relatively priced .can you give us a few suggestions . Thanks Frank from conn we are going there in mid sept for football season
Those coffee kits are actually not free, so beware of that, at Delano I was told those kits cost $12 each, it has 2 pods inside, so it is equal to $6 per cup of coffee, I assume it is same price at Mandalay bay
I'm loving your vids. Wife and I will be in Vegas for our first time late September for our 10 year anniversary and her 40th. I'm so torn on where to stay. I have a rep that can get me Ballys for less then $1000 CDN all in for 5 nights. Next closets mid range is around $1500. Soo many mixed reviews. Any suggestions would be helpful. Cheers!
Ballys hotel is pretty much Las Vegas ghetto hotel same same as Luxor and the Castle next door. We love Mandalay Bay nice and quite, large casino floor, and the wave pool is great. It is close to the strip without being on it. A walk up and back on it the strip that is like Bourbon Street or Time Square do it once and that is enough. Just a bunch of pot smoking, beer drinking home boys, and fat girls laying around talking trash and watching every move you make, and oh I am an ex NYer so well kind of seen that shit before. If you are from Canadian you will see sights on the strip at night you never see north of the boarder, good luck September should be great weather. Enjoy.
@@keeganlamotte1489 well I guess I can pay an extra $2k to stay at Cosmo or I can use that $2k for some Incredible Dinners, Helicopter Ride over Grand Canyon and some Fantastic Shows. We enjoy being out of the Hotel and not in it, so having something super lavish doesn't exactly fit with our personality anyways. I do appreciate the feedback however.
As an employee at Mandalay Bay I enjoy watching videos like this from an outsiders perspective.

Very nice room.
Caesar's palace
Thanks for the quick response your videos are great wish you can mention about spas next time too a I use them frequently when I go
Love Mandalay Bay close the airport, wave pool is great the casino is very nice the poker room could be a bit larger but it is fine.
Yeah that’s a nicely appointed room. Haven’t been there in awhile.
Awesome room. I love Fiji water.
Fiji! 🏝
Might not want to tap on the sensored coffee cups like James did unless you want to pay for them though ;). I loved MJ Cirque, it's my fave ever.
Wow! Not bad at all! 😯
Absolutely gorgeous. The sad thing is it looks bigger than my house
Do you book your hotels in VEGAS direct.
Those coffee kits are actually not free, so beware of that, at Delano I was told those kits cost $12 each, it has 2 pods inside, so it is equal to $6 per cup of coffee, I assume it is same price at Mandalay bay
These places Don't have refrigerators or microwaves 🤷🏾♀️
You HAVE to check out the newly renovated Wynn standard rooms…
Next big trip I will
I'm loving your vids.
Enjoy.
Anniversary? Don’t go to Bally’s. Go somewhere more sophisticated, it will be worth the extra cost
This room is a great level entry nice mini bar to 👌can you do some of the prices in the mini bar 👍
Someday I will. Someday I'll Raid the entire mini bar
@@Coolist haha good man👌
