A VERY nice video and a big thanks coz it help me to observe this plane before I buy it and it really helps me a lot. Kudos to you Wizartar. Comment on the plane: It's quality looks outstanding and the size is just perfect to be in par with the Yamato production lines of Macross Fighters. The only weaknesses in this product is that the details on the plane lacks those of the 1/72 scale ones. Plus the head laser turrets are too flexible. Even with these problems, I still recommend this plane.
While I haven't see one; I believe the Ozma & Alto have been updated in the second version of this 1/60 DX. But it's only very small changes. Normally it's as is; unless they do a limited edition run. I can't see this one getting 100% metal. It's already got a good bit for a model coming out these days. It adds a lot of weight to the figure. Bandai have put a good deal of effort into keeping the package small and light which is good for shipping.
> shopping cart landing gear wheels LoL! describes them perfectly! I've said it in another video but the 1/72 scale is the best one to go for if you don't mind building plamo.
Ah man I LOVE your videos! The Spock vs Captain Kirk music had me LOL'ing :) And I like how you show what's in the box! Keep up the entertaining and informative work :D! I can't wait to get my Osma Custom in the mail!
Wizartar, you may need to inspect all the hinges on your VF-25 figures. I just got the VF-25S Armored Messiah, and the left hinge that connects the back/wings to the torso cracked and snapped off in only its second transformation. Also, I discovered two cracked hinges under the chest area near the head. Still, this is an awesome figure.
Difficult to predict, Yamato has underachieved itself at times. But to be fair, it's hard to make something "cartoon actuate", as cartoons don't worry about real world limitations. There's no such thing as a perfect toy, there will always be compromises. Beyond the head / neck I don't see any unforgivable flaws, but I'm not overly critical- I've found that allows me to enjoy things more.
No Yamato, Bandai has exclusive rights (for the moment). Mikhail & Luca both have a fast pack included. While Alto & Ozma will have there available soon enough.
@killerbee126 Both the 1/60 and 1/72 are nice. Personally I like the 1/72 the most but this is a model kit so you have to build it yourself and is quite delicate. The 1/60 is probable the best all round version being a toy.
From what I've seen Bandai updated the valk. and fixed the neck issue! Which should have been done from the start, me thinks that might have been premeditated. Not sure if they also did additional changes for the Amour to attach??? Ozma seems to have sold slowly compared to Alto, IMO the neck issue was a deal breaker for some. Mine spends it time in fighter mode to show off the shield & skull logo, as it doesn't quite look right in battroid
I only have one complaint, the music was very loud compared to the review. Otherwise it was great. I like the Eva v Macross fight scene. It reminded me of children clamoring over their father. :P Keep 'em up! :)
Epic knife fight, hehe. I really like all of your reviews - they are both entertaining and informative. *Subscribed* Any chance we'll get to see you do a review of the Beagle/Toynami 1/10 Ride Armor?
Thanks Im still working on it, as its just a roll your own studio. Total Cost so far €53 * 3xDesktop Spot Laps: Total €21 * 2x500w Builder Spotlights: Total €32 * Tinfoil Light Diffusers (free made from cut up boxes) * White Cards (are the backs of old work motivational posters).
Well I'd say it's slightly better then a 1/48 VF-1S. But the VF-1S Roy had QC problems from what I've read that had to be fixed in a second release, but I've never had any problems with the 1/48 scale. The one think to note with the VF-25 is the paint can chip off it when transforming. Especially the chest plate, if you've see the transformation you can see it might hit just behind the cockpit. Mines OK, but I tent to not transform them much. But others have noted this.
@hxllxman @hxllxman Yes, look for the letters DX, that's the pre-built toy. If you see the 1/72 then that's the snap kits. Which is better is down to what you want. If you like the building snap kits then the 1/72 is slightly better then the toy. But if you've never built a kit the toy is better.
True, if it was a choice between these and a Yamato 1/60 v2, Yamato every time. But the only thing that really gets me is the head / neck setup. Beyond that I feel they got more things right then wrong with the figure.
@stryderprime Keep an eye on HLJ it was going for about 50% off a while back and picked up 2 I previously decided to skip. The 1/72 kit is probable the most challenging build I've done, the water sliders decal are unforgiving!
Well, about the knifes and weapons...they are the least thing you might whant to compare, since the main thingy is that the tranformation goes well, as well like the armour detaililg. But once again...how far woud one go for a well crafted figure?.
I am starting my collection, I have the 1/72 VF-11, YF-19 and a 1/60 VF-1 Hikaru. I Was thinking of the 1/72 model kits for the frontier collection to begin with. What do you think?
As good as the actual review parts are, i have to confess that i'm in it for the sem-stop motion figure on figure action....hot. Stabby stabby...What software is it you use for your vids?
I have been looking to acquire one of these, but I can never seem to find the Chogokins consistently or for non ridiculous prices, could you give me a few pointers on where I could perhaps find a few?
@smokeprime2008 It depends on what you want to do, if you want to transform it a lot then the toy DX is best. While if it's just for display then the 1/72 scale is better value for money.
Sorry for the noob question... How can you make the difference between a built kit and the one already build. Any special name? I'm in Japan and I can't tell the difference when looking at all the box. ( nobody talk english in that country? ). Also in term of quality, better to go "built yours" or "ready to use". thanks.
@kingcraft86 1/60 is the best all round scale, it looks good, durable for play and big, but cost the most. The 1/72 scale looks the best, but is very delicate and easily broken. The 1/100 is a cheap toy and has a few issues, if you can get the 1/100 at 50% off then it starts to be come a good deal.
nice work thanks a lot i will soon get the f and s i hope is this co better than yamto they make me mad that i pay a lot for nice toys but not work good for stop motion thanks keep up the good info
IMO it's the 1/60, but the 1/72 is really nice, there's very little between the two and I'd say both are very good. If you have the moding skills I'm sure the head cannons could be replaced. As for the dimensions it's comes down to personal taste.
It's a shame the knives for the 25s don't come with some kind of a plastic overlay to make it look like they do when the VF's barrier is projected around 'em.
That's pretty funny XD!!! Eva Unit 1! but i think Unit 1 shoudl be able to take Ozma no problem....it's interesting since the size of Eva is a LOT bigger than a valkyrie :O
AH!!! I got the VF-25S with the armor pack, it was awesome until (without knowing why) it got broke, now I can`t transform it and it is only on battloid form, and it is imposible to fix it
Loved the short clip on the battle scene and music addition with camera angles!😁😆👍
The editing of that fight sequence was masterful.
SPOCK!!!
I like this colour scheme better and that huge design on the back is a winner.
5 stars
your videos are soo well put together! always 5!
Cool! I'm looking forward to getting the armor, hopefully next week. It's in the post. Glad the transformation video could help.
That knife fight kept me at the edge of my seat. So intense! :D
@Wizartar I just ordered one!! Thanks for letting me know!! You rock Wizartar!!!
Thanks,
Only notice that problem with the sound once the video was up.
A VERY nice video and a big thanks coz it help me to observe this plane before I buy it and it really helps me a lot. Kudos to you Wizartar.

Thanks for the heads up I'll have to keep an eye on that.
Lol love the battle scenes and the chop-tastic thingie :)
While I haven't see one; I believe the Ozma & Alto have been updated in the second version of this 1/60 DX. But it's only very small changes.

Still, this is an awesome figure.
read that armored pack is being released with a ozma custom as a bundle.
I was that, HLJ has it up for pre-order for about a week now.
I wish the model kit version was cheap. It's a really cool looking kit when its in figther mode.
I got this from HobbyLink Japan when it was first released.
brilliant showinggg mate !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks,
FAST pack is due in about 2 months.

@TH3otherwhone Think you're referring to the "Do you remember Love, VF-1A, Hikaru Ichijo"
Thanks, glad you found it useful.
thx. just look into it. looks good. my only concern is if the chest plate will over power the rest of it and make the neck seem non-existent.
No Yamato, Bandai has exclusive rights (for the moment). Mikhail & Luca both have a fast pack included. While Alto & Ozma will have there available soon enough.

The decal'ing is almost done just need to do 3 more! But finding the time at the moment is the problem. It will be done in July for sure.
@Wizartar Ahhh!!! Thank you Thank you!!! It is still on sale!!! =D!!!!!!!
Hahah! Awesome fight scene!! I don't know anything about Macross...=/ Where did you get the Eva Sniper?!?! That thing looks awesome!!!!!
Have the Luca, but haven't reviewed it yet.
No, only the model kits. Gundam Line Marker, but am now trying to using brush and diluted black paint.
Thanks, don't currently have any Mospeada figures.
Was that the noise of a tea cup being knocked off a table? Fun music :)
I only have one complaint, the music was very loud compared to the review. Otherwise it was great. I like the Eva v Macross fight scene. It reminded me of children clamoring over their father. :P
Keep 'em up! :)
It's not fair, Evas were in scale disadvantage! LOL.
Nice videos. VF-25 is awesome
Aren't FAST packs for this model?
@700gsteak It's from the Macross Frontier sound track, well worth the cash!
Hehe, homage to a famous fight scene.
Thanks!
Epic knife fight, hehe. I really like all of your reviews - they are both entertaining and informative. *Subscribed*
Any chance we'll get to see you do a review of the Beagle/Toynami 1/10 Ride Armor?
@Shintoryu111 The 1/72 Frontier kits are nice, a good bit of work to build; but worth the effort.
@LordBazaar This version of the VF-25 is a toy so you don't have to make it. There is a 1/72 scale that's a model kit.
Two questions, is there a Yamato version of the VF-25, and is there an armored pack version?
Great review!
Thanks Im still working on it, as its just a roll your own studio.
Total Cost so far €53

that thing is sweet, designed after the Jolly Roger US Navy Fighter Squadron.
What is the rock pop song that playing in the second part? it rocks. Macross does too!
Well I'd say it's slightly better then a 1/48 VF-1S. But the VF-1S Roy had QC problems from what I've read that had to be fixed in a second release, but I've never had any problems with the 1/48 scale.

They only go straight down as the side panel will hit them if they are left at an angle.
@SnIkLeeT They do, if you check out places like Amiami or HLJ
Sweet! Where can I get one of these?
hi does this awsome looking valkyrie have waiste rotation in robot form?
True, if it was a choice between these and a Yamato 1/60 v2, Yamato every time. But the only thing that really gets me is the head / neck setup. Beyond that I feel they got more things right then wrong with the figure.
I have a recesst for a review. I would like to see you review the VF-25 Luca custom.
I will, just don't know when exactly.
EVA vs. the VF-25, Nice!!!
@GundamGuns HLJ had it on sale ages ago so picked it up.
thanks friend, eeehh.....
And are joints of metal?
That so high is compared by the optimus?
great review, thanks!
@stryderprime Keep an eye on HLJ it was going for about 50% off a while back and picked up 2 I previously decided to skip. The 1/72 kit is probable the most challenging build I've done, the water sliders decal are unforgiving!

Thanks, I do have some Gundam but only a couple.
@Wizartar thanx! :)
I am starting my collection, I have the 1/72 VF-11, YF-19 and a 1/60 VF-1 Hikaru. I Was thinking of the 1/72 model kits for the frontier collection to begin with. What do you think?
BTW, are you gonna review the Armored Messiah any time soon?
@Wizartar can u do a review on it soon
A Hobby shop, amazon, HLJ (HobbyLink Japan) there's lots of places online
RUclips needs more Knife fights!
lol i just got done watching cable guy, and you had to put in that soundbit lol
Hello, queria to ask, that differentiates has east model with the Yamato, also of scale 1/60. And the wheels are of rubber?
Every macross fight scene should have "SPOCK NO!!"
Agreed!
I've never watched Macross 7 and only recently bought some Firebomer songs... next time! ;)
This one comes completed so no assemble what so ever. But there are other's that you have to assemble like the 1/72 scale.
@smokeprime2008 It depends on what you want to do, if you want to transform it a lot then the toy DX is best. While if it's just for display then the 1/72 scale is better value for money.
Nice review you have here, but I have one qualm with it.
You had to use Fire Bomber song in this video - it is Ozma's ride after all.
@Wizartar Would yo uknow what the song is called? I cant find it.
Sorry for the noob question...
How can you make the difference between a built kit and the one already build.

thanks.
You're sooo right, but I don't have any of their music :(
@kingcraft86 1/60 is the best all round scale, it looks good, durable for play and big, but cost the most. The 1/72 scale looks the best, but is very delicate and easily broken. The 1/100 is a cheap toy and has a few issues, if you can get the 1/100 at 50% off then it starts to be come a good deal.
where did you see pictures at?
@Wizartar thanks dude, i love ur reviews
nice work thanks a lot i will soon get the f and s i hope is this co better than yamto they make me mad that i pay a lot for nice toys but not work good for stop motion thanks keep up the good info
THANK YOU Wizatar. i'm a Macross Fan from Mexico
Excelent Video. i envy you XDD
IMO it's the 1/60, but the 1/72 is really nice, there's very little between the two and I'd say both are very good. If you have the moding skills I'm sure the head cannons could be replaced. As for the dimensions it's comes down to personal taste.
@Wizartar Thanks for the infos, I guess will go with the built kit since I have done couple MG Gundam.
Shouldn't be worst lol
It's a shame the knives for the 25s don't come with some kind of a plastic overlay to make it look like they do when the VF's barrier is projected around 'em.
Hey wiz, do you order your items through EMS? Just curious since you seem to get your items really fast.
Do any of the valks come with super packs and heavy armor?
Thanks!
That's pretty funny XD!!! Eva Unit 1! but i think Unit 1 shoudl be able to take Ozma no problem....it's interesting since the size of Eva is a LOT bigger than a valkyrie :O
my god this cool. i got to get one. LOL i like how you put it up against EVA01 LOL nice touch
It's just a pen that has a very small nib to allow detailing.
Thanks
AH!!! I got the VF-25S with the armor pack, it was awesome until (without knowing why) it got broke, now I can`t transform it and it is only on battloid form, and it is imposible to fix it
@legonakonow I do, but since I don't have room to display it, it's packed away.
I could explain how good are the scales? 1 / 60 as measured? or which level is best? or what is more advisable because
Like the TOS fighting music. ^^
