I love everything about this list. The theme, the unit choices, the structure of the redundancy and kind of hidden shooting phase potential. The fact that in turn a unit of corsairs can jump out, Grenades, Wave Serpent drops MW, and then Tank shocks to do anywhere from 1-13 MW on a unit 3 times in a game is a SUPER sneaky offensive blow. Not to mention forcing a key terminator brick to make 3x battle shocks in one turn if you really want to deny their AoC can be DEVASTATING. One leadership roll, they'll probably make it, but three is pushing it. With all of that said: I cannot comprehend how banshees literally did anything in any of your games. I have been trying to run them in casual Narrative games for 3 months, falcon support, Guide sometimes, and just... they can't cripple a guard squad enough for the clap back to not either kill them or leave the exarch alive by herself. Against anything T4+ I might kill 1 or 2 models from the Exarch's executioner. :/ I have been running Reavers instead just because they have the same # of attacks but get rerolls. The -2 ap is generally enough to force 4++'s. I am also a big fan of the Visarch in my lists; a 2+ armor really is fantastic for living through a bunch of 0 ap shooting when the opponent expects the unit to fold... and then he has the offensive output to punsh for it. Thanks for your breakdown of your games, and love the channel!
What. A. Comment! Insanely nice comment, thank you so much. Loved waking up to see this one! I totally didn't even think to run more reavers but with swords instead and put them in falcons for the rerolls in melee! Unless you mean reavers from Drukhari but I doubt it. The only thing I think this list is missing is some uppy downy tbh. I find I'm using units I want to be forward to screen my backfield as well... So I think it does need some adjusting but with the new book coming and new detachments we shall see what happens! But you definitely understand where I'm coming from. I love forcing triple battleshock and then unloading like 20 bright lanced into a unit, ha! No rerolls for you buddy! Anyway, cheers! Comment again anytime!
I'm glad you allowed new people to play against you even if you should rightfully be playing more experienced people
Of course! What kind of pretentious person wouldn't even 'allow' that? That's how you learn! 😁 I lost 100 times in a row before winning a single game, as long as it's fun, we're gonna keep playin!
Nice to see I am not the only one with the "Mechanised Eldar" idea :D
The best way to play! Just how they used to be like 10 years ago alongside Marines and Tau, orks and even Necrons with ghost arks! Such a fun way to play the game.
Great video, nicely designed list - eldar have got so many good 5 elves and a character combos to play with and Falcons really bring them to life!
It's something a little different for sure! I find it a lot more fun than just the standard eldar build floating around.
Wait - how are they still able to scout woth Yvraine attached ? She doesn't have scout and the scout rule requires each model to have scout.
Also only the scarred have 3 attacks. The reavers only have 2.
They fixed that in an FAQ. Characters in transports now do not stop the scout move. I just have no idea where to find that rule ha, I looked it up a while ago and someone confirmed this to me, but please fact check me. Also the reavers do have 3 attacks each, just the sword only has 2. Fists are 3!
@@BarnyardWargamingOfficialThanks for the report. However, I cannot locate any rule or FAQ allowing Yvraine to Scout. If it exists, could you direct us to that particular rule?
I will have to do some digging! I'll update you in a future video I am sure! I'm playing this list again next week.
Was coming to ask the same thing, I’m struggling to find what’s changed that let’s that tech piece work so would appreciate it shared if you do locate it! Thanks!
Okay I did do some digging. Apparently the only thing they changed is enhancements that gave scout to leaders. Because enhancements didn't work in transports meaning they wouldn't have scout? So you guys are right and I am just a dirty cheater! Oops. Good that I know now. That's a real shame.
“And won” so this was a lie
Well technically I won 2 games, I placed third, and there's a ? In the title so I covered all my bases while fulfilling RUclips requirements for videos. If you feel cheated, sorry, but blame RUclips and what people click on not me, I'm just following the rules.
@ I’m just poking you. This response honestly makes you look worse
I consider third place a W 😉
That's my guy! 😄
Tis what it is my friend. You can't fault me for being what I am, honest.
Cool list and report. Quick question what is the size of the bases on the tanks? Look really cool on them
I have forgotten the exact size but they are the big ovals for imperial knights! They're basically the perfect size for the hull which works out well for combat and such 😁
I love your shirt with the aeldari glyphs!
Thank you! 😊 Gotta represent!
@@BarnyardWargamingOfficial where is the shirt from?
Red bubble I think! Just search Eldar/Aeldari t-shirt! Adela got it for me 😁
Alternative list idea I like more would be to run 6 squads of voidreavers, 3 wave serpents, 3 howling banshee squads in 3 falcons, death jester with fate's messenger, avatar of khaine, autarch wayleaper with phoenix gem, 1 ranger squad, and 1 scorpion squad. You loose the big blob of voidscarred which will help save time since they have such varied profiles to roll. The wraithlords are durable, but low impact. Swapping them for the avatar gives you similar to their combined durability in a more focused package that does a lot more. Gain another infiltrate unit for screening or scoring. Add a second lone operative who is pretty good at objectives and clean up while giving you more CP in the early game. I like the idea of this list, I'm just not sure on your implementation.
This is all true but basically just going back to what everyone and their dog is running at the moment which is avatar and way leaper. I know it's different but I really like the corsairs and I think the avatar and way leaper are extremely overrated. This is a thematic list for sure, but it definitely is just as competitive, it will just take me time to get used to it 😁
@BarnyardWargamingOfficial I'll agree that the avatar is. I've dropped him myself outside of timed events. He does do a lot for the time he takes if not his points. I'll disagree on the autarchs. I like the wayleaper, but the foot one has gotten better. As another option drop the wraithlords for 2 war walkers and swap the voidscarred for 10 harlequins. You'll have better scouting options with the small base size on war walkers and they tank hunt well. The harlequins are generally more durable and hard hitting than the corsairs while taking a lot less time. And you'll have enough points left over for 5 swooping hawks to do objective play.
wow nice dude
Cheers! Good lists, good times, good comments!
Wait until the new detachments are revealed.
Very exciting stuff! More variation yesssss!
When I read the title I thought "Pretty sure Ben came first at the event" but yeah I guess winning some games counts as "winning'
Count it! 😅
Interesting. I'm not done and wondering how you won vs the Wales group with those units.
Well I am part of the Wales group ha! I'm on team Nsw myself so versing the captain happens often enough. I'm currently rank 1 in Aus for daemons. Just thought I'd give aeldari a go!
So 2 wins vs opponents who were not well practiced and 1 draw from time running out in halfway through.
Well it's had a fair few games off screen as well. Im just not very good at using it just yet. It'll get there.
I could be wrong, but I don’t think fire support gives you reroll wounds in combat?
It does for eldar, just not for other armies like Votann. Thanks GW! 😁
triple falcon, triple wave serpent. I love the idea but this will not get you far at a GT lol, as an Eldar main I WISH cool lists like this were competitive
I have faith! I just need to get used to all the individual moving parts! Doing the standard is too boring for my tastes 😁
I think a list like this can do quite well into the right matchups
@@lumayne8829 I've ran triple falcon for a while now. I've tested the visarch and quins in one of them. They handle well. Eventually I went to Karandras and 5 scorpions. I've been trying 2 squads of voidreavers in serpents and they're interesting. Cheap move blockers and objective holders are nice in eldar. Though I'm more interested in running reavers on foot. I dislike voidscarred just based on how long they take to run with all the weapon and wargear problems. Their cost doesn't help matters.
Yea that unit is a mess to play with ... Honestly I wish I had some extra points to put some mandrakes in and just make yvraine the warlord. I could take the Lord's out to make room for them for example but then I don't get any extra fate dice? Unless I run something like guardians on my home field for even more chaff. That's still 105 points cheaper! Enough room for something like reavers for being even more annoying. More melta!
@@BarnyardWargamingOfficial Guardisn defenders are low key pretty awesome, they have become a staple in a lot of my lists
