also for a bit of context for the dumb litty video: they're each representing two different characters from greek (and norse) mythology. bm is zeus and thor (though personally i prefer an interpretation of haephestus bc everyone else is from greek myths), somin is aphrodite (the pearl in the oyster!) and chloris, j.seph is ares (the headdress is meant to envoke indigenous war armour) and dionysus, and lastly jiwoo is hera and athena. this was bm's first outing as a producer for the group, after which he produced more (inferno, gunshot - a personal favorite, ah ee yah, the new comeback title track ICKY as well as most of the bsides on the album). i urge you to check out live performances of the song at their concerts as well - it goes absolutely INSANE, and it's their closer/encore that gets the crowd WILD and absolutely drenched in water they throw off stage. brilliant. i hope to catch it live one day!

I am so glad you are getting into Kard. They are one of the 5 groups I love most. (Stray Kids, Dreamcatcher, Ateez, Mamamoo, and Kard)
They have such a fun variety of songs. The difference between Hola Hola, and Red Moon...Just...So fun. I look forwards to you delving deeper into their works.

There was another Co-Ed group called CHECKMATE, they started with 5 members, lost a member, gained a member, lost that same member and they disbanded as a 4 member co-ed group 2 female, 2 male. They only released 2 songs "Drum" and "YOU". There is a brother sister Duo called AKMU, The only other one was Triple H and they disbanded as well. KARD is the only successful Co-Ed group! Others have tried and failed!

Believe me or not, I was really anxious after choosing 'dumb litty'. 😅 I have not seen a reactor using this song as an introduction to the group yet. But it is my favourite and Jiwoo is my bias (do I need to say more? Mission of collecting another Jiwoo biased accomplished ✔️).
I have to say they usually are latin influenced. Their pre-debut song 'dont recall' (wich is still one of my faves) attracted a latin audience and they stuck with it.
But they also have such bangers in their discography.
What makes me like them so much is how you can feel their personalities through the screen. And how you said, they are so badass!

Out of excitement I forgot to mention some stuff.
J.Seph had to do his military service till last year. That's why you don't find a large discography despite them debuting 6 years ago. The others didn't want to put out an album and promote while he was away.
Last year they finally had a comeback with 'ring the alarm'. It's a good song and an important one in their discography (didn't made it in my playlist though😬).
In april they released a digital single called 'without you'.
And as others mentioned the next comeback is right around the corner.
As a next reaction I would suggest:
•'don't recall' for the latin vibes, also they kinda talk to each other through the lyrics, it's really cool, like they talk about the two different perspectives on a relationship
•'gunshot' this is heavy on lyrics and imagery, another work of BM and extremly badass again
•'bomb bomb' this is sexy, I don't know what to say more (ah and it's a really good song)
There's more but I think those are the best to continue. I mean 'ring the alarm' is too, but I would love to see the others first. 😅 😊
PS: I would not call myself a Hidden (fandom name) because there is a lot of stuff I still don't know. So I may not be of help for some questions, just as a heads up. 🙈

Yeah BM is super tall hence the name Big Matthew! Also if you land on biasing Jiwoo (me too I continue to Have A Type) you might wanna check out the show good girl where Jiwoo and a bunch of other women in the kpop and k hip hop scene compete together to “steal” mnets money by going up against people that mnet puts up against them. It’s one of the only competition shows that I’ve really enjoyed because the competitors really like and respect each other

Fun fact. This song wqs produced by BM (as are many Kard songs) and BM and J.Seph always write their own verses. Recebtly the girls have been writing too.

Loved KARD for a long time. This is a harder sound than typical but I love everything they put out. They are very much the sibling vibe. Like older brothers that pick on the little sisters. They are not afraid of sexy concepts for sure. But definitely a Latin vibe most frequently.
KARD in general are amazing, but Jiwoo....man, she's something special
