This one has the spheres meaning that is has the active suspension. These cars have the smoothest ride in the world. They can be made to follow exactly the road profile in sport mode or the horizon in confort mode and you can go offroad and the car still keeps a flat position and little vibration goes to the occupants. Even Rolls-Royce cannot be that nice.
I have this car as a 2 litre HDI 6 speed auto with hydro-pneumatic suspension. This video is so laboured and boring! Get on with man! I have done 62,000 miles and it still drives like new. Its a great car even though the suspension is no better than the steel sprung version which is cheaper and less complicated. I get 37 mpg around town and 47 mpg on the motorway. The best tyres for the car are the General Altimax UHP or Sport. Do not get Michelin's. The brakes take a bit of getting used to as the pedal has no feel at all. Thanks to its 5 star NCAP safety rating its quite difficult to see out of the windows. Take great care on roundabouts as the A pillar hides approaching cars. I like this car; buy one.
I have exactly the same car but with only 33,300 klm on the clock ... yep that's my right odometer reading ... Owned BMW, Audi and now for the past 2 years the C5 Diesel variant ... Exceptional car, absolutely amazing and couldn't be happier!
This is a very nice car with the best suspension in the world. I have got the st. car in the standard version with 2,0 liter HDI, with 163 Hp and 340 Nm. But I have just god it tuned to 400Nm and 195 Hp. It runs like a dream.
Yup. The 508 and C5 are related to each other, hence, certain design cues and functions might be similar. They're after all, under the same company. =)
I have the the same but with the 3.0i V6 engine. The silence at the interior is the Best!!! The suspensión is in other level. And the V6 engine a beast!! Love my C5.

Citroën always did original things with steering wheels but it often displease people... Like that one, Citroën probably wouldn't keep the fixed center on its next C5 (they change it for a conventional one in the last C4)...
Oh wait. Seems that you may be right! Read the article wrong, the LED lights should be the DRLs at the front of the car only. Haha. Sorry about that! =)
Hahaha... It's not all Peugeots and Citroens. It's only the newer ones, besides it's not the parking sensors, it's the warning to tell you the door is open and the car is not in Park. =)
Nice video alex! Adjust the suspension from the comfort of the driver's seat.... simply superb. I think citroen malaysia should bring down its price to compete with peugeot 508...
One nice feature of the higher end C5 cars is this little trick. When you arrive at your destination with the windows and the sunroof open, you get out of the car and press the button on the remote - if you hold the button on the remote down - all the windows and the sunroof will close automatically. Very handy if you have a wife who leaves the sunroof open kids who leave windows open.
I have the same car but with the steering wheel on the left side and hood open on the left side. I am surprised that in models with right-hand drive is not opening the engine cover from the right side.
I could be wrong but he probably doesen`t know what awesomness this is trully. :) I`d give the direct link but youtube doesen`t let it so type in youtube Citroen C6 suspension explained. It`s the same type that this C5 uses. I`d also recomend to take a look at the car that started Hydropnevmatic suspension - the DS! Type in or click on the right side (related videos) Citroen DS - BBC`s The Car`s The Star with Quentin Wilson. Do enjoy :)
are you sure the rear indicators are LED? they dont have that rapid on/off flash of an LED...it looks like a halogen bulb behind those grates that is being made to look like LED
True but Traction Avant only had it on the rear axle not the front one. It was almost experimentaly thrown into production one could say because it was the DS that had the complete Hydropneumatic suspension - also in the front axle + many more upgrades. By the way I recomended the C6 and DS videos just to see all the details explained for those that might haven`t got a clue etc.

Philip Moran petrol or diesel?
@@alexsani3340 Diesel.
@@fatenhappy1 2 years now after your comment do you still think the C5 is amazing ?
What's amazing is how the ambient sound suddenly stops when you get inside and close the door. Very Citroen-like.

A beautiful car !!
I want a car with that steering wheel. That's awesome

Not available in Malaysia. Would love to film a DS5 if given the chance. =)
its not a bloody citreon without the hydro suspension
The French are just radical in designing stuff, including cars.
There is no LED effect on the LED DRLs, it's just the camera effect.
This car does NOT have LED-rear-lights. Those are conventional incandescent lamps made to look like LED/s!
Thank you to you too!

Citroen really know how to made a great car :)
*Altough when you pop the hood the engine sounds like a diesel..
How much is this in malaysia?
Haha. Probably it comes with the leather seats? Or Citroen Malaysia just ticked the option to have standard heated seats. Haha.
You're welcome!
Thanks!
Finally i found a really detailed tour of this wonderful car!, Congratulations Alex! Thanks a lot

Works with my c4 too!
Wow! All late 80s BMWs do that.lol.
Yeah but BMWs from that era looked like shit and rode like ice cream floats. So I guess it evens out. Expensive, unreliable and ugly too.
At least this isnt like the c5 that was sold in britain where the infotainment system had 2000 buttons that did a million different things
Someone is definitely inspired by Saabkyle04...
Nice review of a great car
is it really that hot that day.. 41 degrees?!
Why you haven't stop motorway traffic, is so loud...
The engine is suited perfectly for this car. I've driven it, and it is far from underpowered.
This is such a beautiful car. thank you for the excellent video.
It's a good car but I need a specialist to mantain it
Why do these Citroens/Peugeots make that annoying noise when you put them in reverse? Is that the parking sensors?
One of the most complicated steering wheels I've ever seen!
C6 was one of the best citroen. They should bring it back.
This is C5 lol
Yep, saw that earlier thanks... Hydropneumatic's awesomeness still remains :)
Yup. =)
anyone What the name of the song at 15.00?
They should sell these cars in the US!
Nice Car!
They is cars and turcks noises in the video why did u put the citroen c5 exclusive wind mirrors in and out
So whenever you need a sip of your coffee, you need to open the center arm rest. Not very practical.
Very useful video spoiled by the constant background noise. A showroom or somewhere queit in Malaysia would have helped.
Shit, that wheel would drive me nuts. Why cant they make the switch plate turning with the wheel.
ohh :(. . . you forgot to say one touch automatic as saabkyle04 does!! :/ pitty :P

not really. i'm a malaysian in malaysia too, most probably its around 35-38C. and it's beside highway so it's probably hotter
Hi I just needed a confirmation. Are the options same for the 2010 model?
are you sure the rear indicators are LED? they dont have that rapid on/off flash of an LED...it looks like a halogen bulb behind those grates that is being made to look like LED
Hi Alex, do you know where can I buy a well kept used Citroen C5?
True but Traction Avant only had it on the rear axle not the front one. It was almost experimentaly thrown into production one could say because it was the DS that had the complete Hydropneumatic suspension - also in the front axle + many more upgrades.

I mean, why hasn't anyone else made the wheel like that? Not so much all off the buttons, but the fact the hub is stationary...makes sense..
Anyone has knowledge about 2.7 hdi engine? thanks in advance
That's why I love my Citroen :)
I'm thinking to get the 2.0 petrol unit.any issues with this engine ?
เขาว่าช่วงล่างนุ่มกว่า จาร์กัว จริงไหมครับ
@VOLVORULEZ1995 that's can happened with all turbo engine when the maintance programme is not followe correctly.
Alex, I have a C5 but I can't find how to use the LED effect that appear in 4:40. Can you give some help?
Great review!
0-100 9.8 seconds..oh my God..please forget practicality, someone fit this with a real engine.
1.6 THp bmw one of the worseengines in the world, no navigation system, but car is super!
BMW ? What does BMW have to do with this car ????
the automatic transmission sure looks a lot like the one on the peugeot 508.
Nice efforts Alex! But you did not say anything about the hydropneumatic?
Cool, it also has the "night" feature just like Saab's
of course, wonderful.. thanx for you watched my dreams car video.. ;) great

You can also get a c5 with another type of daytime running lights

No GPS in exclusive edition :O ?
Thank you very much Mr.Alex
Thanks man...very informative video.

nice car
its in malaysia ...right????
Got it.
There is Mold under the back seats!
In Malaysia, there is mold on just about everything. A very nice, but very humid and hot place.
Well if a car owner cleans his/her car well and often it does not get mold.
Sitron XD
Good review
this is Australia?
No Malaysia
1.6 136bhp? No way...
I said 156, not 136.
alexlovesmac that's petrol? It's terribly loud! I thought it was diesel.
