@@samgayle9629Exactly. How does him putting Pickens on blast in front of the media push the team forward, it doesn’t. Tomlin is media trained and uses it to gain trust with his players. Behind close doors, this has been addressed.
George hasn’t even been paid yet. Imagine what happens when he does get his raise if it is indeed in Pittsburgh. Tomlin brushing this off like it’s nothing is simply amazing. I can see “The Leader and Motivator of Men” has learned nothing from the Triple B’s era.

The personnel being used on offense has been so strange this year. Matt Williamson has brought this up a few times but the Steelers are barely using Pat in 12 personnel.. both of those big pass attempts from fields could have been and should have been Pat. Get him the balllll!!!

Bottom-line: DEF failed to consistently get off field on 3rd down. That is what lost the game.
Dallas 9-15 on third down. That zone defense left too many holes for Dak to take advantage of.
More than that but that has a lot to do with beanie bishop and Minkah having to help him

Offense kept them on the field all game. If defense is tired and injured the offense should sustain drives to keep them on the bench.
Bottom line, the defense had three turnovers, a blocked field goal, and the offense only scored 17 points. That's why we lost..

If Pickens isn’t finishing routes he is screwing his teammates especially the ones the plays are designed for. I think they NEED a wr1 to challenge Pickens and either drive him to play or drive him out.
This team confuses me so much. One week, they look like what I dream they'd be. The next, they're a downright nightmare.

He’s not fully healthy. His game is 100% predicated on being twitchy and explosive. He’s healthy enough to be running, but not enough to be explosive like he needs to be. Putting him out there just puts him at risk of further injury, will ruin his confidence and make the fan base think he sucks
Maybe they’re keeping GP healthy so they can trade him by the deadline? You never know

Pickett missed tons of open receivers. Both Johnson and Friermuth missed significant time. So, fans got what they wanted but the offense is actually a little worse, because it is totally based on Field's mobility. It is a one man show. One more time. Fire Canada!

I keep asking this question: why would Devonte Adams (or anyone of his caliber) want to come to Pittsburgh to be WR2 in this run heavy offense? They want targets and they won’t get them here.
I respect Tomlin for him making players earn field time. But, other than Chuks, he doesn't bench guys that have earned bench time.
If a guy isn't helping the team, he's hurting the team. And Tomlin 100% is allowing it.
When you play certain teams, you know the TE is going to be getting the ball. Gronk, Andrews, Witten, Kittle to name a few. Maybe hitting Pat with a couple of big plays might, you know... open things up a tiny bit?

Well that's a stupid rule lol , I was one of the folks that had made a comment about trading for Diontae which was kind of a joke, just poking at some folks I debated last season , but I knew there was no chance of that happening ( I wish) ,but I wasn't aware of that rule . GP is loaded with talent , and I like the kid, just sometimes acts , well like a kid. Like you said, he needs someone opposite him to push him. Great stuff thanks guys , keep the hits coming !!
I think at this point it is imperative that we get a Adams type of WR 1. GP has not had a veteran player who commands that money, targets, and eyes on him. That’s more important.
Route effort… can there be some gamesmanship here to gain an advantage against the corners later in game? If the play is automatically going to Pat F, then 14 may be being clever in setting up the corner with a lazy route.

the best thing tomlin could have done is bring in HINES WARD to coach his receiving roster..... give WARD free reign on trading, cutting, and moving wide outs to practice squad or up from the practice squad..... tomlin should call WARD and tell him to come fix his receivers
Sorry, but Pickens is not a #1 receiver. So can we stop referring to George as one? He hasn't earned that or kept up with doing what it takes to be a #1. Right now, we don't have a #1. Tomlin is the problem. Claypool...Dionte...JuJu.... etc... You have to stop this crap immediately so you're not forced to eventually cut bait on promising (immature) talent. Stop it. Last game alone, do you know how many times Freiermuth, Washington, Austin, and Heyward were NFL open, and Fields didn't throw it, or threw it poorly or threw it late. Not fair to trash the receivers. They can't throw the ball to themselves. Just like when Dionte didn't have any touchdowns for that stretch. Now, Pickens doesn’t have any. Is Pickens a bum? Or does everyone love Fields so much that they'd rather ignore how terrible he is. In 2 pays, Allen looked better than Fields has looked all year. Ridiculous.

I wouldn't mind Zac Robinson or Ben Johnson as our new HC. And so what if another team hires Tomlin right away? What does that prove? If the Jaguars hire him who cares? They stink.

This is the third or fourth year, with tomlin's offense sucks. New offensive coordinatory would never know it. How you going to have a solid running game with nasi Harris? He's slow he lost a step maybe all those hits in the past took some years off of his game. Our passing game doesn't scare anybody. We don't pass for deep much, two long balls a game, if that! The bottom line we aren't a super bowl contender yet again.

Everyone criticizing Tomlin for what he is saying about Pickens, but what the hell do you think happens to Pickens trade value if Tomlin comes out and bad mouths him or outright says he is in the dog house. I think they want to move on from Pickens via trade and if everyone knows that Tomlin is ready to move on from him because he says he is in the dog house, how much do you think they get back for him?

I watched Tomlins press conference. I have great respect for the job he does. But honestly, I feel insulted. He didn’t know about the eye black? Huh? I am ok if you tell me you are handling it privately, but don’t tell me a flat out lie to avoid addressing it. Pickens attitude is an issue. I hope coach deals with it sooner rather than later.

The defense lost us that game period. 3 min left in the 4th up by 7, the offense didn't lose us that game regardless statistically how bad they played they had the game WON and the defense LOST it

DK, I don’t really agree with you on this one. Yeah, Tomlin 100% saw the eyeblack phrase. But, how does that push the team in a positive direction. If he blasts Pickens in front of the media it will turn into some bullshit narrative. He feels as if he doesn’t owe anything to the media and he really doesn’t. This has been addressed with GP. The message has been sent to the team. They’ll be right this week. Big fan of the show though. 🤝
