    Love the video.
    I shoot bronica etrs always with prism on and with the 135w focal pane as it has all crop lines with 75 & 150 lens
    I also shoot Olympus om2n and have the trinity of 28/50/135 lens
    Mike. I’d love to see a video of your workflow for scanning and editing your negatives.

    For medium format, my go-to is my Mamiya RB67 Pro SD, closely followed by my Hasselblad 503CW, if I need small and fast then my Bronica ETRSi gets the job done. For everything else I have a Nikon F4s and a Nikon F90X Pro. All my other film cameras are for decoration!! 😊

      @@Zetaphotography Indeed, where I can. It and the Hasselblad best suit the sort of work I prefer to shoot. Like I said, I have 35mm gear when the big stuff is impractical.

    Great vid Mike. I love using the old mechanical stuff myself. Nikon F, Hasselblad 500C, Rolleiflex, and Pentax Spotmatic for the most part. What is the large format camera on the table and what do you use it for? Andy

    Excellent video and great photos - proof that the gear YOU use gives you the results that YOU want!

  • @germansaez
    @germansaez 8 месяцев назад +2

    Polaroid integral film should not be shaken. The only film that "requires" that is the peel apart film, because negative and positive are separated when you peel it and chems are exposed and still wet. So the shaken helps to accelerate the drying. Integral film has negative, positive and chemical encapsulated. It's dry, no need to shake.

    Fun stuff! Love my 500cm. (Most of my cameras, really) My guess on the Kinax Kolinax is it's a 6x9 using 620 film. You can re-spool 120 film on 620 spools if you want to shoot it. (I think you should! It's fairly straightforward. Or buy some already done)

  • @Awayne429
    @Awayne429 8 месяцев назад

    Out of all my gear, the ones that get used the most are my lightweight cameras. Canon VI-T(street), Yashica-12 (medium format street/portraits) and my nikon L35 AF2 / Fuji Instax wide 300 for fun. I have the RB67, Mamiya Universal, Pentax 67, and the bronica etrs but I realized over the year they hardly get used because I hate carrying them or having to use a tripod. 90s plastic body auto focus slr cameras are very underrated.

    Another great video as is your norm! My cameras, a Pentax 67, a Linhof 4x5 and, my baby, my go-to... the Mamiya RZ67. I have two of those and 7 lenses in my kit. Right now I'm just using the RZ and don't really need a film 35mm body, but when I do, I might spring for the Canon 1V, if I don't get the fisheye for the RZ. I use a Canon DSLR only to check exposure when I shoot strobes.

    I was looking to replace my Nikon EM, the metering not working and it has light leakage. The EOS 1 looking promising, I shoot Canon Mirrorless but have a few EF lenses still. I also have a Mamiya 330, my dream camera is the Mamiya 7ii with the 80mm. But that price gotta do something better...LOL.

    I grabbed the Pentax 67 because it seemed to fit the bill budget wise and checked off a lot of things I wanted. I also have big hands and don’t mind the weight. I have a Sony a7c for when I want to shoot digital and light weight. For the Pentax 67 I do want to grab magnifier lens because I still find it hard to nail focus in darker situations.
    I also have a sun600 and it’s the first film camera I owned. It was in a box of my grandpas old stuff that I found one day while cleaning the basement. It is what got me into photography and film photography.
    I also scooped a canon eos 1 last year because I had a nice milvus 50mm lens that I shoot on my Sony and figured it might be fun to use it on a film camera. Having all that accessible EF glass on one of the cheapest film camera bodies is a no brainer for me. They are built like beasts.
    The other cameras rounding out my collection are two ql17 a which I primarily only bring with me when I know it’s going to be a sunny day and when I know I just want a light rangefinder carry. I also scooped a Fuji gw690 last year and it’s been pretty challenging for me to use tbh. I’m trying to use it mainly for landscape (and occasional individual portraits) but being locked into that one focal length has been challenging for me

Fav is the Ga645 set to Auto with any B&W film and the Canon AE-1- have it setup to Program and it becomes a very nice point and shootish 35mm film camera. I prefer color 35mm film over B&W

    Mike I think two cameras you should try to shoot with that I think will suprise you with how good their images will look are the Minolta Maxxum 9 and the Sony A900 both A-mount cameras that have wonderful lens that have crazy good rendering! I shoot with both and Minolta made glass for Leica and Sony made some really good Zeiss glass for the A900 that fits on the Maxxum 9! Go check out some of Matthew Jordan Smith older work and Nigel Baker older work they both shot for a long time on the A900! Minolta 28-135 (Secret Hand Shake) lens, 85mm1.4 Minolta or Zeiss, 24-70 F 2.8 Zeiss and the 135mm F 1.8 Zeiss for A-mount try those!

    I stick with The Rolleiflex 6008I and the Mamiya 6MF (when traveling). 6008 is my workhorse for studio and conceptual work. I think it’s one of the most underrated/hidden gem cameras I’ve ever used. Can switch between 6x6, 6x4.5 or digital back. The Zeiss glass is beautiful and the viewfinder feels like you’re always looking at a dream. I can go on about this camera all day 🤣 13:40

    I know why the intrepid spends most its time on the shelf 😢 the set up time for one shot; paired with the cost to develop and scan 🥵
    It cost me $80 minimum for a sheet of 4x5, if I go to a lab in Australia. B&W I can do at home but I’m not rolling in the cheddar for colour and even 120 is getting more expensive by the day 😂
