Sadly, I’m in no financial position to afford the machinery to make the best espresso so to find any instant coffee that is good is quite exciting. I use Nescafé Espresso rich crema (in U.K. is intensity 7) with boiling water (don’t judge me yet). For those who like added cream rather than killer sugar, it provides a great drink at a (barely) affordable price. BTW this retails at supermarkets in the U.K. around £5.50 for a 95g jar.
Did the recipe specifically ask for hot water? When preparing instant coffee it's better to use cold water so the grinds aren't scorched making the coffee taste too bitter, I used to do that same before looking up coffee recipes
Yeah, I try to get the water warm but not super hot just because of that. I tried cold water instead but it just doesn't seem to dissolve as well nor make it very frothy.
All these videos that say they try something or buy something so we don't have to makes no sense to me of course we're going to buy or try the something we're looking at the video for or we wouldn't be looking at the video

Try vanilla syrup in place of the caramel as that is what Starbucks does

When I used cold it tasted bad I could taste the grinds and it tasted bad with cold water

I like the Nescafé coffee but never drink it iced I typically use 2 teaspoons of coffee with 6oz of water to get me going every morning
