Welcome to the channel, @Ben Allen. Ben served 4 years as an active duty 68W in the army and now holds the rank of sergeant in the army reserves. I wanted to bring him onto the channel, to highlight the day in the life of a 68W (Military EMT), and understand more about the profession. Soldier Medic!! It's been an awesome 7 years journey for me as a 68W....best thing happened in my life experience. Now I focus in going through this Flight Combat Paramedic Course...and it's definitely the most humbling experience...Your Videos have helped me through this course so far, Coach! Thank you!
I haven't served before but I've been interested in becoming a 68W pretty much my whole life. Thank you guys for helping all those people and serving our country. Much love
I was an 4NO51(airforce medic) for 7 years before switching to a loadmaster on a C-130 on my military side now for the past 7 years and do 911 Ems on my civilian side...Im in the Air National Guard now...14+ years now
difference between civilian medic and military medic...military medics have an emt-b certificate but have a physical assistant (p.a) scope of practice...at least on the airforce side
Loved the collab!! Watching various videos from you both helped me out while studying to become an EMT and completing my 68W training. Can't wait to see where being a medic takes me. Thank you both!! @theparamediccoach @benallen
Hey Elias, thanks for the comment here! If you are looking for a study guide for the medical and trauma assessment, I actually wrote a 50+ page NREMT Practicals Study Guide here, this is the product you are looking for; www.prepareforems.com/national-practicals The Video Study Course is best for those preparing for school, in school and studying for the cognitive written portion of NREMT, it also includes all the EMS meds and on the job tips. www.prepareforems.com Welcome to the channel!
I hope to take a class during highschool to get my firefighter I & II certification and join the army national guard as a 68W to be able to paramedic as well. So my plan is to be a firefighter/paramedic while being in the army national guard. Does anyone have any advice or anything?
Me and you have the legit same plan, and were probably the same age but I mean I would personally argue any MOS is ok I mean I'm enlisting in the guard and going to Basic training this summer but the Army still pays for you to go to a Private EMS School to get your EMT A or paramedic
